Diary of a menopausal Yorkshire lass...

Phew, I was worried you'd dump me!
I might be away with the fairies, but the way I read it ww filling and healthy is extra easy with the following differences.
1. Pasta and rice has to be brown
2. You don't do the 1/3 plate thing
3. You can have reduced calorie bread, pitta, wraps, bagels etc
4. You can have crumpets
5. You can have drained tinned fruit
All you have to do is watch portion size and stop when you're full.
You can chop and change between counting and f&h by the day.
All that said I'm still eating the same things, and it's still wine that's my downfall!

Well I was 10st 12.5lbs this morning, I'm not sure if it's a loss, but it's definitely not a gain which is a surprise after MIL been here.
I have however shifted a stone in the last year which I'm very pleased about :)

Wednesday 24th July

Lunch - ww bagel (warning! Do not drop one of these fellas on your foot - you'll never walk again) laughing cow light and smoked Ham

Well done Mandy; can't remember the last time I was 10st but that's my long term goal. Lost 1.5lbs this week so well chuffed. Keep up good work

Thursday 25th July

I really don't know what diet I'm following, but I've come the conclusion that the way I eat, they're all pretty much the same!
Will keep counting the ww way this week.

Breakfast - Oats and ww yoghurt

Lunch - 4 slices of ww bread (I'm really not impressed with their bread products) chicken, bbq sauce, lettuce and grated carrot

Dinner - Chinese chicken slices and boiled rice

Snacks - pear halves and ice cream

Friday 26th July

So here we are, another weekend, will I blow it?
We're going into Leeds tonight for a mosey around so I'm planning a bottle of wine, which has already been accounted for.
The question is, will it bring on the munchies and a packet of kit-kats?

The plan, I promise I'll confess the reality tomorrow (unless I have a headache lol)

Breakfast - Oats and ww yoghurt

Lunch - 3 slices of ww bread, salad and chicken

Dinner - homemade pork fajita burgers, actifry chips and sweetcorn

Snacks - bottle of wine - yaaaay!

Mandy at least you're planning ahead and counting in the wine. We've got a BBQ to go to tomorrow night and thinking if I drive at least it will stop me drinking then I can eat salads and meat/fish. Enjoy Leeds tonight

Home and stuck to what I'd planned!
Go me!
It was tempting to stay for another drink and get something to eat :( but I'm still determined to lose my spare tyre...

Oops! Saturday went a bit (lot) wrong
All I can say in my favour is I've counted everything and if I'm SUPER good between now and Wednesday I might just be able to pull it back.

Weeklies 53/49

Basic rations for the next 3 days :banghead:

Hmm, so much for basic rations...
I may have blown it again...

Snap, same here Mandyboo. Went to BBQ last night and was quite good (had one small glass of wine and a small slice of cake - ? syns; everything else was HEs or free.
On track today; although I have used all of my syns.
Out for lunch tomorrow and it's a set menu - salad starter, steak & frites, cheese!!!!!!!!!
Tuesday - can stay on track
Wednesday - out for lunch/dinner
Thursday - WI :help2:
Friday - out for dinner
Saturday - friends coming for dinner - have already told them doing main course salad with chicken & bacon - will offer couple of puddings so I can do at least one light option that I can have.
:break_diet:

Afternoon all!

You've got a hard week Christine - or rather, a good one - dieting would be so much easier if you could shut yourself away and not have a life for a few months. Enjoy yourself, but try to be good when you can. Making two puds is a good idea, if you can be strong and only eat the good one ;)

Moira - it's a very good job we live in different countries, I bet if we were nearer we'd find ourselves a nice wine bar, and sod the diet!! :D
Looking forward to catching up x

Monday 29th July - Purple (I've no points or syns left) day

I've said it before, and I dare say I'll say it again, but I really have to stop sabotaging myself at the weekend! Saturday was bad, but I could've pulled it back by Wednesday, then Sunday happened. I blame my husband :( how could I refuse a bacon buttie from a muck on a truck wagon? How could I turn down a 99 with flake? Then the b*****d, suggested staying out for tea! Of course by that time I'd decided that as I'd completely messed up, there was little point not sharing a bottle of wine when we got home, followed with the obligatory kit-kats.
What is it with me and wine and kit-kats? I don't even like them that much, it always used to be chicken dippers...

Maybe the afore mentioned evil OH might mend his ways as the doctor phoned him this morning to say his cholesterol was high, being a man, he's now convinced that he might die in the very near future, so now might be the time to tackle him about dropping a couple of stone...

Breakfast - Oats and ww yoghurt

Lunch - JP and beans

Dinner - tbc

Snacks - water!!

Here's another wine pic for you - I wouldn't mind a handbag like this

Hey Mandy, sometimes it is a bit hard being on my own a lot of the time but at least I don`t have a OH to help me sabotage my diet, I can manage that on my own.

I see now what you mean about others having a bad weekend. Why do we do it ........ because we are only human ..............and love food. :17729:

Will you all stop tempting me with wine!
You're right - handbags don't get much better than that lol.
Guess what?
I've blown it again.
I can't even blame the OH this time because he's working late :(
