ProPoints Diary of a WW virgin

I am managing to eat bananas and soft things. He thinks the sickness was a reaction to co-coda mol. Slept loads today and apart from the pain am beginning to feel human again. Just need the tablets to kick in and everything will be great.

Well managed to eat nearly a full quota of points today - even though everything tasted like lard.

Anyway today I had cookie crisp and milk for breakfast - 5pp

1/2 cheese and onion sausage roll thing - 3pp
1/2 tuna and cucumber sandwich - 3pp
1 piece of toast with peanut butter - 6pp

Dinner - 3 fish fingers, 135g oven chips - 11pp

28/30pp

Thanks. I have woken up today feeling remarkably better. Toothache still there but manageable but I feel normal again - everything still tastes of lard but hoping that goes soon enough. Back to work today - just couldn't drag myself out of bed yesterday - I must have slept for about 25 hours since tuesday afternoon.

No idea on food today - know I have chicken and vegetable pie - 11pp, mash - 5pp, veg and gravy - 1pp for tea.

Lunch I think I will have a Philadelphia salad sandwich off my trolley lady - 5pp and breakfast - am taking a bowl of cereal and milk - 5pp to work

27/30pp. Still have 38 weeklies remaining so not worried if I go over today.

Thanks. Well my day was pretty much as planned. Sid have a bag of quavers. 29/30pp used.

Good news is hubby gets paid tomorrow - only for a few days work but it's money so he is treating me to a take away - probably fish and chips - just hope the lard taste goes before tomorrow!!!

And I need some suggestions please...Saturday is "picnic on the green" which is basically a local band playing on the seafront but I need some low pp picnic suggestions that don't cost the earth...I want some nice bits and don't mind making things but normal picnic bits to me seem high in pp.

Yay for OH being paid, enjoy the fish and chips if you have 'em! ;)

Picnic stuff is high in pp indeed - pastry, argh! :)

WW snacky bits are always good if they're on offer, otherwise salad with chicken/bacon or potato/pasta salad? sugar free jelly is always a nice treat (zero cal too!), ryvita/crackers with low-fat cheese spread/cottage cheese, fat-free yoghurt with fruit? maybe add some cereal to it too, babybel lights if they're on offer, multipack crisps (pom bears/skips/quavers are all only 2pp/bag), bagel/pitta bread with a yummy filling, fruit/dried fruit, veg sticks (celery/carrots/cucumber) with a dip/low-fat houmous, chicken is always good/ready cooked chicken/chicken legs if you remove the skin, fruit loaf/malt loaf with margarine or jam, a small scone is only 4pp as a treat :), or you could make a pastryless quiche which are usually extremely filling, I use quark which isn't too expensive and is a fat-free soft cheese but has a sort of yoghurt-like consistency, add 3 eggs per 250g quark and then whatever filling (any meats/veg/cheese) - any combination you fancy, and it's very, very low in pp! Otherwise, a hard boiled egg isn't a bad option for the picnic, bagels/pitta breads/wrap provide a nice alternative to sandwiches, boots do a 'shapers' range which is cheaper than WW food and you could probably pick up a nice treat (choc bar etc) without paying as much as you would for WW stuff in a supermarket :)

Today's food was:

Cereal and semi skinned milk - 5pp

Prawn salad - 4pp

Greek yogurt fruit corner - 4pp, rich toffee bar - 2pp and Ww digestive - 1pp

Dinner - lamb kebabs, pitta bread and salad and mustard mayo - 12pp

28/30pp

38 weeklies left. Don't think will eat anything more as everything still tastes of lard. I have a huge coldsore now to add to my troubles. I have loads of baking to do for the picnic. Going to make chocolate marshmallow squares and lemon bars and chicken tandoori :)
