B you're so quiet! I hope all is well. Forgetting how time consuming a little baby is. It'll be teething next and weaning. Soak up each and every bit, it flies by.

How's the old eating plan? All the same with me, still not really going anywhere lol. Chat soon. X

I know!! I've been eating rubbish and don't have much time to post!! Health visitor thinks he could be starting teething already... He's chomping on his hands rubbing his gums all day, playing with his bottles and dribbling.... Literally soaking his t-shirts!!!

Some days I'm trying with the eating but then other days things are all over the place and I'll end up grabbing a sandwich with all the wrong things in or cake at baby groups or just loads of chocolate!!! I weigh more now than I did 2 weeks after I had him!! I will get back into it I just need to plan more!!! Xxx

Sometimes just enjoying your baby is more important. You won't lose complete control, I bet most of the time you are still choosing well. Baby groups, people always insist in bringing cake don't they, it would be rude not to.

Glad you are well. Teething wouldn't surprise me, my first had a tooth at 12 weeks. They can teeth and dribble for ages before it comes through. He'll need lots of toys to chomp and dribble on. :) The Lamaze toys are great. I miss those cute baby days. Instead I now have a toddler who shouts her demands at me. Still completely cute though. No plans for number two yet then? ;-)

I'm sure she's definitely cute!!! ;) Gosh no, no plans for number 2 for a long while!!! He's such an early bird, up at 6 ready for the day.... Definitely doesnt take after his mummy there!!! We've stopped giving him a dummy a couple of days ago as he was waking up every half hour crying for it to be put back in, exhausting!! Last night, he only woke up at 3 crying, he wasn't hungry, but just needed a cuddle. I don't know if I'm mean not giving it to him, but he's not sleeping properly waking up needing it all the time. This page has become more about babies than food!! Lol!!

Right, food for today:

Breakfast: mushrooms and Brie in toast (hea heb)

Lunch: egg salad pitta (heb 1syn mayo)

Dinner: quorn Thai curry with rice 3 syns

Friends supposed to be coming over today with cake.... But snow may prevent her from coming so I may be good!!!

Everything's about babies when you're a new momma! :) that's how it should be. Dummies sorry I'm no help, none of mine had a dummy, I was their dummy. ;-) my sister used to have a small bunny and she'd pop multiple dummies on the ears so when my nephew woke up he'd find his dummy on his bunny, that worked well but he was about 5 months. It sounds like your little man is coping ok without and if that's the case then you're saving yourself a whole heap of trouble if he stops easily now.

Food looks good. You're allowed some cake if you can syn it. And it's not every day anyway and you're already gorgeous and skinny. Enjoy!

I have a custard tart in my fridge, trying to avoid it lol. No idea how it got in there lol.

Imogen is VERY attached to her "nunny" dummy to you and I! Oh well it's only at bed time and I just let her crack on with it.. Don't want to start changing things this close to new baby coming x

Ah bless! I don't mind dummies, it's been really helpful but his sleeping got so much worse with it waking all the time, every hour needing me to put it back in. Last night he only woke up once (although it did take me an hour to get him back to sleep!! I nearly gave in with the dummy but I persevered!!!) hope your feeling well, not long to go now!!! :) xx

I've got one of those bunnies but he's too young for it now so I'm on a mission to get rid of it!!! We're on day 4 without a dummy today so we're getting there!! :)

Mmmmmm custard tart!!! Yum!!! I did eat a rather large slice of cake!! :) the rest was quite healthy though. No idea what I'm going to eat today, I need to do a big shop!!

How's the lil guy?? X

Hi!!

He's very well, still no dummy :) We did have a couple of really rough nights, then I decided I could no longer rock him to sleep, he needs to learn on his own. I was fully prepared for it to be horrific, but he cried with me rocking him for 2 hours one night (and i cried with him!!!) so I wasn't sure it could get any worse.... Hubby put him down awake, he cried - checked him after 3 minutes, was planning to check him again after another 3 but he fell asleep before I had the chance. Was amazed, he then had his dreamfeed at 11 and slept til 8am!!!! Same last night, with 7am wake up, tonight he cried less!! I'm not holding my breath that this will last but at the moment I'm enjoying it!!! :) Naps however is a whole different story...!!!

Food wise I'm trying to get back into things, but people keep buying me Easter eggs!!!! Urgh!!!

How are you doing my lovely? Xx

Easter eggs!!! Yum send them to me lol!!!! I saw some amazing eggs in tesco today, a Black Forest egg and a banoffee egg.

Glad all is well with your bubba. You did so well with the battle of the dummy!

Hi doll.

Well I am really starting to feel the strain of this pregnancy, cannot remember it being this hard last time??? Anyhow 5 1/2 weeks left now.
Sounds like you've taken to mummy hood like a duck to water :)
Those pesky Easter eggs are EVERYWHERE!!! I'm trying to keep off the chocs cause tony may be diabetic all tests done so far not looking good so I'm trying to be a good wife how long that lasts is another story :) I've been snacking on butterkist light toffee popcorn at night to get sugar fix and for 5.5 syns per bag I think it's a good find xx

I'm now on battle of the daytime naps.... Any suggestions?? Health visitor told us off for using his bouncer and taking him for walks to get him to sleep in the day. She was rather condescending!!!!! He's just so tired if I don't help him sleep in the day. I don't know how you managed it so many times - your super mum!! :)

It must be so much harder when you've already got a little one!! I just needed to sleep all the time, you can't really do that!! 5 1/2 weeks!!!! Wow!!!

What a good wife you are.... In not sure i could manage to give up choc!! Wish I liked popcorn, that's a really good find!!!

I managed because I didn't give two hoots about the hv. I coslept, breasted on demand and let my babies sleep on the boob and as much as they liked. Never wake a sleeping baby lol. I really believe that babies find their own sleep pattern, they sleep to grow and rest. If they need sleep let them sleep. I always kept a bed time routine of 7pm bath boobies and bed. They all cluster fed all evening. Babies soon start dropping and reducing day time naps as they need to. Do what you need to survive, nothing wrong with a nap in the pram or bouncer. There's no right or wrong way to parent just your way. By the time you get to number two you won't care what the hv says. :)

That's what I thought.... I think as long as he's actually sleeping at some point in the day that's all that matters!! And I'm not going to stay in the house because he's supposed to be napping in his cot at a certain time. Ignoring the health visitor is exactly what my friend said!!

Exactly, life isn't a perfect rotation of textbook parenting. We are all doing the best we can and that means being adaptable. Learning flexibility is an important part of being human. Most hv would raise anal regimented individuals. I'm rooting for mine to be free thinking happy adaptable individuals.

Most health visitors seem to do nothing but scare the crap out of new parents and just come across all judgy and insulting!!
I asked Imogen's not to bother coming back as she was so rude in my house about the way I was going about parenting. X
