Ding Dong the Enemy's dead!

That sounds like a nice unstressful few days :) xx

I agree Jan, its great to have days off with not much planned but rest and relaxation.

I will probably have a run to the beach on Sunday with Maisey and pop in and see the kids while we are down there.

Sounds great - hope the weather is okay for you. xx

Sounds like a lovely 4 days off Mary :) enjoy xx

Just over 6 hours to go.
I am loving my new phone, its 8 years since I have changed my phone, so obviously its such a difference to anything I have ever had.

Mary, I hope your days off are nice and that you get some walks in with Maisie. My cocker had kennel cough over Xmas so I know now how you felt about poor Maisie. My lad is on the mend now, still a bit of a cough but not too bad.

Aww Molly, it took Maisey about 3 weeks to fully recover from her cough, and then on the week after that she seemed to be a great little actress and had a 'pretend' cough when she had to go out in the cold.

LOL Sandra, my bottles of soap are just M&S Rose........I love it.

Well girls, I had my 4 days off which were absolutely lovely, but I just dont find the time recently to get on the internet as much as I used to do. Maisey seems to take up most of my time these days.

I did manage about 20 minutes on the farm the past couple of days, but that is only half willing efforts!

I cant say I have been following the PP plan, and I DO need to get my butt into gear and start making more of an effort.

I bought a pack of 4 Ciabatta (sp) rolls from Tesco yesterday, its the first time I tasted them, and they are absolutely delicious. I dont have a clue (not looked) at how many PP. They are about 4 inches long and 2.5 inches wide. Any ideas!

I am going to try harder at my next four days off to get back on track, but its pointless until after Saturday as I have a funeral to go to. A very good friend of mine passed away just prior to Xmas, and with the bank holidays etc, she didnt have a post mortem until last Friday. Her funeral is this Saturday morning.

I think I will be best to wait until Monday and start afresh as I will be going to the wake (if I get Saturday night off work) and I think there will be a fair bit of alcohol involved to give her a good send off.

She has been going downhill for the last 2-3 years, as she had celiac (sp) disease and the weight just dropped off her. She then broke her hip a couple of months ago and then unexpectedly she passed away a few days before Xmas. Post mortem reveals it was a heart attack. Bless her, she was only 65.

RIP Elaine.

I think that I need a Maisie! Seriously, perhaps a dog would get me out of the house a bit more.......and I need the walkies!

M&S is still pretty posh Mary!

I've got a funeral to go to on Friday too, my friend was 59 and passed away due to lung cancer.....it's dreadful isn't it when you start losing people in your peer group. Elderly relatives I can just about cope with in the knowledge that they've lived a full life but anything under 70 seems wrong somehow....

God bless x

It is a good thing having a dog Sandra, to be honest, many days I love to have a jamma day, and stay around in my dressing gown. But now.......well I would feel as guilty as anything if I didnt make the effort to take Maisey out.

Sorry to hear about your friend Sandra. I hear ya about your peers passing away, we do accept our elderly relatives, but its different when friends pass away.
