Ding Dong the Enemy's dead!

Wondered where you were!

Lucky you having the weather! We've had the heat but not the sunshine - well only intermitently anyway, not enough to sit out in.
It's quite overcast here now. Enjoy your last day in it anyway - I'm off to bed. xx

It started cloudy this morning but the sun is shining again now, wonderful.

Have a good sleep Jan xx

Just realised, I have been maintaining my weight since I stopped TFR for exactly 3 months today. I am really pleased with this and I can still eat chocolate etc and drink alcohol, but obviously all needs to be done in moderation.

The time soon passes to all those who are just venturing onto refeed and it can be done if you follow the instructions. The people who say all the weight piles back on as soon as you stop TFR do not know what they are talking about.

Good luck to all new peeps on refeed/maintenance.

Well done Mary....You're in the same boat as me now....can still have the odd indulgence and maintain, which is a great place to be isn't it! :)

I agree with you Mark, it sure is a much better place to be than where I was before. I think food will constantly be on my mind for the rest of my life, but not in an obsessive way, but more of a way of healthy choices, I wouldnt dream of using butter now for example, just choosing wisely.

Same here....I was talking to a mate last night about things that have changed.....I can't drink milk straight any more, nor do I have it in coffee. I don't eat bread and therefore no butter or margarine either.

I wouldn't go out of my way now to buy chocolate, biscuits or cake, that hasn't stopped me eating them, but it's "a" biscuit now if I do, not "a" packet!

I don't eat pasta anymore....I've probably had no-more than 5 pieces whilst cooking for the little one, just to check it's cooked.

When I look at how I eat now....it's not a massive change from where I was....I used to eat fairly healthy meals...just portion sizes and the junk in between where the major factors.

Anyway, long may it continue! ;)

well I think I have been maintaining for about 5 weeks now, I have lost another 2 pounds since my holidays, now weigh 10.5. I dont eat much bread, just the occasional slice. I am careful with pasta and rice and only have these now and again. Mainly we have chicken and fish, salads and veggies. I still use the maintenance products because they are easy for work. I know I am going for an indian tommorrow so will be careful what I eat today. So far it appears to be working. Got myself a vibroplate for one month so will see how it goes. I want to be 10 stone before I go back to icemeler at the beginning of September, fingers crossed. However I still intend to have the odd treat, just not every day.

I used to eat bread at both lunch and dinner. It's a tradition thing in my culture though. That's what's worrying me a little when I go on holiday. Might just have a small piece and eat whatever it is we're eating on it's own.

Ditto - I used to think nothing of polishing off a whole packet of gingers nuts or something similar.

I am still careful with carbs, exception being my carbs in my home made soups, they dont fight with me.

I will only eat bread once a day now or not at all.

Well done on your 3 months Mary!!

I think there's a few of us coming along proving that you don't have to pile it all back on. I don't think I'm quite believing I can eat and not gain yet but I'm getting there ;)

I think the proposed maintenance forum will be a good tool too!

Congrats again! (And you Mark ;))

Well thats my second dayshift nearly over, so I think I will have a couple of vodka's tonight. Having some fish and salad for dinner when I get home.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Had a good weekend, food wise been good with the exception of a few boiled sweets yesterday. Had some bargains in Tesco today. Half price bra at £6 (loving the smaller boobs, get cheaper bra's). Vest top at £2.50 for my next holiday and a skirt for work, reduced from £15 to £5.

I will say though, I am totally addicted to clothes shopping since losing weight, I have gone from no clothes to (hope hubby doesnt read this) to millions of clothes, I might need to treat myself to turn the small spare bedroom into a dressing room hehe.

I'm the same Mary ... lovin' the clothes fitting!!! Well done on your good weekend. You're doing so well! :) xx

Thanks Jan. It has to be a lifelong change from here on in chick, but we can make it easier as I explained in the other thread. Just try not to get too focused on the non healthy foods, take them all in moderation.

I am trying to be strict with myself mon -fri and be more relaxed at the weekend. I suppose its being aware of our weakness. I have very stressful job and used alcohol as an emotional crutch, even though I know it can make you more depressed. Anyway LT made me kick the habit which was all it was. trying to keep a look out now for low fat, low carb recipies so I dont get bored anyone got any suggestions

Haha - you girls and your clothes shopping....I'm still wearing lots of my baggies! lol

Though I've got to admit I'm getting some grief from OH about it. :(
