Well I'm sitting here at gwyns choir rehearsal (12 days of Xmas atm!) having just laid all the refreshments out for tonight. Lots of mince pies and stollen, and 3 great big pots of punch ready to be warmed up on the stove.

Should be a nice nite!

So sorry to hear you still are not sleeping well though. Have you tried the herbal sleeping pills? I had 11 hours sleep last night yet I'm still yawning! Ha ha

I'm drooling - even though I don't even like mince pies or stollen!

Now punch is a different matter. I did gluhwein yesterday afternoon for our little bridge session. It was that that started me on the road to ruin yesterday . . .

Morning all x

Another quick post as I need to hit the shower before going to church. Gwyns taking the Xmas carol service today and then we're having Xmas lunch at the church.

Last nites concert was lovely. Loads of Christmas carols and songs, and quite a few laughs too. Vicki, Matt and I went into the kitchen halfway through the first half to warm up and pour out over 100 glasses of punch! Anyway, the food and drink was pretty much demolished...just 3 mince pies left lol! But I was mortified when the musical director publically thanked us at the end and everyone clapped lol!

Well peeps, I better start getting ready x Really sorry I've only managed to visit a couple of diaries recently...I'm struggling for time but I do read them all, and I'll catch up with u all soon x

At last, a chance to sit down and turn the lappy on! :happy036:

This weekend is just flying by!

The service was really nice. Gwyn takes the Carol service every year which is great because he doesn't do any preaching...it's just readings and carols...much more fun lol!

Afterwards we had coffee in the church, and then went through to the back rooms where we had a delicious dinner of pork, roast spuds, yorkie pudding, carrots, peas, home made apple jelly and gravy, followed by Christmas pudding and custard, mince pies, coffee and after dinner mints...all for £4 a head! It was very, very good...and we bought the scraps of meat home for Suki, and all the veg for Daniel lol!

I'm watching Saints play Castres on the telly atm...we're 12 - 0 up :bliss: We should have gone to the match but there just wasn't enough time for us to get there. And I'm having my hair cut this evening so it would've been a bit of a rush to get back in time.

Anyway, better get back t the game...Tiny's just come on and as you may already know, I have a little soft spot for him...:sign0168:

I know what you mean about the weekend flying away. I demand a longer one. Have the Sunday blues knowing work is tomorrow, boo! Least I'm not doing a full one and then it's Christmas yay!!

It was really lovely...and exactly what I needed to giv me a bit of a kick up the bum and get me feeling a bit more Christmassy!

I havent written a single Christmas card yet ... doesn't look like they'll get done now lol!

And I though I was bad! We only wrote and posted ours on Friday but they should still get to the UK in time as we use a courier service to the UK and then into the post from there. Posting from Spain can be a nightmare. It once took 12 weeks for a letter to get delivered to us that was urgent!

I love carols - old, modern anything. Always gets this old fart who is very bah-humbug feeling christmassy
