Evening Ladies, worked out of the office today so no chance of weighing at Boots, hoping to go tomorrow during lunch.

I have however managed 30 mins running again tonight so thats spurred me on for starting again tomorrow!!!!

Well done on the run! How far do you run in 30mins? I'm just back from a run, think I'm getting addicted! :)

Oh hun, it took me til I was 32 to get into exercise! Don't worry too much :)

I've not been 100% sw for a while now, depends on my mood of the day which isn't too great these days. Take each day as it comes I say.

Welcome Anna & Lisa seems like your both getting into the swing of things!

Lisa looks like were similar starting weights and if I can get between 9 & 9st7lbs I'll be happy!
Loads of people tell me there's nothing of me and I don't need to lose weight but you know yourself when your not confident with your body don't you. I think I look my best when I'm between 9 & 9st7lbs anyway so that's my 1st aim!

Good Luck all and remember no question is a stupid question were all in the same boat and are here to help eachother!

Thanks Jen, I just feel like a bit of a failure at the moment! I don't think it helps that I have absolutely nothing to do though :\ I cannot wait to get a job so I can get out of the house and have some kind of routine! x

Me too, I know exactly what you mean. Just caught up with the Hairy Bikers diet programs on iplayer and even they seemed to catch the exercise bug. Being a single mum makes it really hard to go out evenings to do anything - needs a babysitter. I've tried loads of different dvd's and just hated every one :(

Hey Jen,

At my old house I could run outdoors and I was up to 3.22miles in just over 36minutes but where I live now, in a small village, I haven't found anywhere safe to run yet. Instead I have bought a treadmill and although I thought it would be easier I don't seem to be doing as well?

Currently i'm on Incline 1 and in 30mins I have run 2.38 burning 308cals, now I bloody pray thats 2.38miles and not km's!!! The treadmill isn't the clearest as you can pre set the speed in km's and my speed that I work up to can be 4.5/5.5 per hour. I'm going to do some research and see if I can work it out!

Hi, I'm doing slimming world from home also, mainly because I refuse to be weighed in public, but secondly because it saves on the pennies :)

Welcome, sw from home can work, does for all of us and that's £20 saved a month!! Good luck :)

I do feel for you, I know how hard it is when you can't get out. Have you tried any of the biggest loser dvds, they are pretty good, I like the fact that they are 'normal' people doing it. You could also do small things whilst watching tv, crunches, using cans of beans do some arm and leg exercises, run up and down the stairs 10 times, star jumps etc :)

Hopefully you'll find something but just doing sw is absolutely fine, not everyone needs loads of body magic, at least to start with anyhow x x

It's tough when you don't know where to run. Really great you have a treadmill tho, especially getting into the colder months. You'll pace will improve. Over 3 miles in 36mins is fantastic, you'll do that again on the tm. I did 5&1/4 miles in 51mins tonight, am happy with that! Running with inclines is really tough but definitely helps you run faster. Keep going! :)

Oh honey, you are DEF not a failure! Your results were fantastic. It must be a tough time with friends going off to uni etc but you'll find something soon enough. Jobs are quite tricky to come by these days, it's not you! Have you ever thought about doing voluntary work, just until you find something. Might be good to focus on, just a thought tho. Personally I'd love to stay at the home but I do understand you need something in your life! Shame you don't live closer, you could come over to entertain my boys!! Xxx

I really ache today! Gonna try the spanish chicken tonight, sounds yummy! Weather is really pants here, rain and thunderstorms, not good for my energetic boys!! Had to cancel our picnic in the woods, might get struck by lightening ha!!

Hope everyone has a great day x x

hiya ladies!

sorry i have written all weekend but we have had such a busy weekend! i have been doing well not as well as i could of done but i am happy with how i have ben doing!
i have 3 weigh ins before i go away for the weekend so i hope i can pull off my first target and of lost half a stone! only time will tell i am hoping this week for a STS as like i say i havent done as well as i could of but i have still done good compared to how i would of been a few weeks ago :)
hope u all had a great bank holiday!
xxxxx

Hi everyone,
I'm doing sw from home too so really pleased to find this group of like minded people :)
I'm hoping to lose 1.5lbs this week to hit my first stone loss but I have a feeling that the bank holiday weekend might have scuppered me! WI on Saturday so the truth will come out then.

Aw, Helen I would happily babysit if we lived anywhere near eachother! And Jen, I would love to come over and play with your boys, but again stupid distance! That's the only thing I don't like about online forums and stuff - everyone's so far away from eachother that we couldn't really do a meet up in real life :( Oh and about the volunteering, I am defo looking into it again as I had organised to do some a while back before sixth form finished, but just kind of hoped I'd have a job by now!

SammieAnn, definitely don't worry about the 'bad' few days, just get back on it! :) Like you said, you've still done better than you would have done prior to SW at all, so it's not the end of the world :)

Welcome echoshell, fingers crossed you get that 1.5 loss to get your award :)

Hope everyone has a good day! xx

Hi all
Been a busy few days by the sound of things.
I've stuck religiously to sw for the past few days and actually enjoying it. Had magic porridge fr breakfast and thought it was really yum. Even got DH eating it, albeit with normal fruit yogurt. Hopefully this will result in 2lb by Monday which will be my first stone.

I applied for 2 jobs yesterday which will mean working in my home city instead of an hour each way commute, would also mean I could cycle/run to Work. Will hopefully find out by beginning of next week. Fingers crossed please.
Will catch up with what everyone has been doing properly tonight when I'm home.
