DOING SW FROM HOME???

Is the recipe in the mag/on here somewhere? x
 
Not sure where I got it from actually, whenever I come across a good one I write it in my sw book.

Ingredients - chicken breast, chorizo, red, yellow & green pepper, onion, garlic, tinned tom's, courgette, paprika, chicken stock, tomato puree. Brown off chicken, remove from pan, soften onion & pepper, add courgette, garlic & chorizo, add chicken and the rest. 20mins. I did a bit of rice too. Added a few extra bits to recipe, very adaptable. Yummy!

Ooh thanks, I may have a try at this :) I made jambalaya again today!! Made loads too, so I put some in to freeze. Also made snickerdoodles... Woops! Taste nice though ;D x
 
No, they're like an American cookie kind of thing, but there are different recipes that make them come out either biscuity or cakey, and mine came out cakey :D They look like muffins, and they're like a biscuit batter mixed with chopped walnuts and rolled in sugar and cinnamon!! Fattest things ever, but yummy ;D I have decided that by the time my brother and sisters are back at school I will be back on SW 100%, promise!! It's just too easy to make them nice treats while they're home :p x

I lost 1lb this week so I'm happy!
At least I know I'm doing it right and it's coming off rather than me putting it on!
I'm deffo losing my bum! Boyf keeps saying it's gone haha!

To everyone doing sw from home, did you find it useful to go to a class first to get your head round it and now you just do it from home? I did sw about 7 years ago when I was a teen and now I want to start again but I've never really enjoyed slimming classes full stop much prefer to sit in front of a computer and chat online etc. should I go to a couple classes first just to get my head around the plan? I'm sure it has changed since I did it! Thanks x

Well done hun, you're doing brilliantly! Sts for me this week so feeling pants :-( I know it's cos I haven't run lots. Sometimes so tricky with young kids.

I've never been to a class. My sister gave me the books which are a few years old. I basically just read them and then read lots of the sticky threads on here, which are very useful. Everyone on here is so helpful, if you have a list of questions just ask, am sure someone will be able to help. I know some find classes really helpful, some just go one week to get the books. It's completely up to you! You could always just have a good read on here, refresh then see how you feel.

The key is planning ahead, making sure you have the right food in the house before you start, keep a food diary and don't go hungry! Take your measurements aswell as weight.

I started doing it from home in April I was using books that were 3 years old so there are a few differences but not loads!
I started going to class 5 weeks ago as my friend wanted to get motivated and I couldn't seem to get to losing 1/2 a stone! So since the class I've lost another 5lbs! I really enjoy my class everyone's friendly and the advisor is really good! Everyone says different things about classes but I find mine useful! If you can do it on your own then brill but I struggled after a bit! I know it's £5 per week but I see it as learning a new way of life rather than a diet!

Well done Jen & Sammie for STS as that's hard to do!

Jen with your exercising aswell your going to have weeks were you won't lose so don't be disheartened!
My boyfriend is a Sports Scientist and always has a go at me when I talk about running or water aerobics etc...he says the best way to lose weigh is to do 2 45min weight sessions per week! He said just doing them alone you will see dramatic results and get to where you wanna be quicker...
I'm not a fan of weigh training tho so never do it! I'm silly really not taking advantage of him and his knowledge! People pay good money for advice and help! X
 
Lost 2 lbs. I am over the moon as earned my 3 stone shiny and I am at my lowest weight for a long time 12 st 12.5 lbs.

I have followed SW from home since christmas and enjoyed every minute, thanks for all the support from this forum. Eating better and more than ever and losing weight.

Well done Rosielea, amazing!!

For 2 people I think the recipe was 56g. I had a packet left from weekend so used it up (about 70g). Can't quite remember but think it's 4 syns for 28g on red/ee. Everything else is free/superfree. I used smoked paprika as that's what I had in the cupboard, was lush! Used 4 chicken breasts and 1/2 pint of chicken stock. I recommend it :)

Tilly - proper weights?! I know running and swimming make me loose weight, if I have a week of neither I don't loose!

Yeah Jen like Squats, Lunges, Dead Lifts etc with weights...I used to do them all the time and a bit of cardio when I was at my best! Should really get back into it!
