DOING SW FROM HOME???

Afternoon everyone

Gad I've had a bad week food wise and time wise, not coming here doesn't keep me motivated... so I'm getting back on plan tomorrow, I think having that first week after my hols and being 100 percent on both SW and CC and not loosing anything sent me into I don't care anymore mode, plus I'd promised the little one a gilrs lunch and a girls shopping day and took her out to dinner one evening as her big brother was on hols with his friend... So after having a good girlie night out last night and hopefully going out with hubs tonight as the youngest two are on a sleepover at my Sisters it's back to being good. Helps I haven't seen one of te girls for a while and she commented on how much weight I've lost even with the extra I put back.... looking forward to eating healthy again I honestly get fed up of eating crap after a few days..... just wondering though whether to have a week or so on slimfast to shake things up a little first...

Laura good for you, I saw your post on facebook about making changes....

Jenny looking fantastic in that dress hun...

Ho to everyone else who's joined out little family, I need to catch up on everything... but for now I'm going to finish watching the formula one.... whizz out and get some shopping then drop the kids off yay....

Have a good weekend all xxx

Just had lunch and really fancied scrambled egg so had it with 2 slices of nimble bread (my hexb) and wait for it....NO butter! That is an unbelievable achievement for me cos I absolutely love toast and lots of butter!!

Jenny I used to really hate the idea of not having butter or spread on my bread etc but after trying not having it for a week or so I found you don't miss it so much... although I'm never not going to be able to eat hot cross buns with no butter... saves having to worry about measuring it out all the time too...;)

Hi there, nice to hear from you! Oooh def couldn't have a hot cross bun without butter! I was doing sw and cc but haven't lost for a while so gonna go back to just sw and hopefully see a loss. I really really want 8lbs gone this month and see the 11stones ;-)

Hi Wizzpop I think having a goal to aim is key to keeping you motivated. ( so you should be ok)
Try and rid the naughty foods from the cupboards if possible so if you feel tempted you cant get your hands on stuff. I like to keep the fridge stocked with good foods . My weak point is when I come in from work and I'm starving so I have a mug shot until tea is ready. I'm just weighing in at home on a Monday.

Laura people can be horrible hold your head high chick and rise above it all.

Lucylu well done hun , I want to get back into running at some point. What do you use to track your distances ?

HLV hello and welcome read your books and some of the threads to refresh your memory.

Hi Chicklet

I had a bit of a bad day yesterday ( had the kids to soft play then they wanted pick and mix sweets and cookies ) so I need to hold back the syns today. Have a good day all I'm trying magic porridge in a min .

I'm on the treadmill do its all done for me!

It's been like the last supper for me today but it's lasted all day!!!

On plan tomorrow and going to do red and perhaps a bit of cc to try to help!!

X

Lots of people that do SW and cc combined don't show any losses, and do much better when they go back to straight SW.

Yes it's strange, in reality it should work if you are sticking within your calories, but it obviously doesn't work for everyone

Yep back to good old Red for me and on the lemons again...

I'm going to try and start running again once the kids go back on Tuesday and get the exercise bike out of retirement

Hi there Jacmac

Jezzi OMG you can really see the weightloss :D

Lucylu I see that makes sense. I was wondering if you were outside and using some kind of app on your phone.

Evening girlies, or morning depending on when you read!

Now I'm not really one for the next "quick fix" but I have my brothers wedding a week on thursday and I just tried my dress on, ok so it fits but not the way i'd like it too if you know what I mean?

Can I just ask what you ladies find are quick ways of perhpas feeling better, even if its just in the tummy area? I suffer from bloating terrible, don't get me wrong I know I can't loose that weight that quick but sometimes on SW I can feel so much better after just a few days but have never pin pointed it?

May I ask your tips for a great week??

Any running tips going Jen?????

x-x-x

The weeks where I feel the best are usually when I eat 'natural' meals, God food - like food made using no processed things, not even pasta (though that's not terrible). I tend to stick to things like jacket potatoes with grilled, spiced chicken and a salad... Shepherd's pie made from scratch with half a plate of broccoli or salad with it etc :) That's what works for me! And sticking to just water, and lots of it... Helps get rid of any water retension or bloating in your stomach... Other than that, if you're feeling a bit worried about your stomach, even doing something like 20 sit ups/crunches a night could tone you up a bit :) x

Lucy, my best losses have been on red weeks, no carbs at all. Also find that bread and bananas really bloat me. Try 1-2 lemons a day, when I did this I lost 6lbs in a week. You can use them in cooking (on fish, stir fry, in vanilla yoghurt) but I mainly put them in soda water with a bit of sweetner, tastes just like cloudy lemonade. Do you swim at all? 30 lengths 3 times a week is really good with a bit of running too. Snack on veg (carrot, pepper, cherry tomatoes) and as Laura said definitely drink loads! Hope some of that helps :)

Ta Jen, don't have time to swim having the little one but I was wondering would it be ok for me to speed walk on my rest days from running?

Def like the idea of lemons as I was going to try a fishy week.

Definitely, any long walks are good! Apparently interval training is really good, so run/jog like normal then a really fast run/sprint for a couple of minutes.

Oh my, have I messed up! I weighed myself this morning and I've put 2 lbs on. Can't say it was a huge surprise and I deserved it, but still can't help feeling really cross with myself:booboo:
