DOING SW FROM HOME???

Ok, will try and post it! Eek
Aww, Jen thats an amazing dress and you look fabulicious !!!!

Well ladies my scales have arrived, granted they are no way anything like my others, they only do to the lb and not the point which I used to go by a lot!!!!

I'm really hoping that with the running that I am doing (which I intend to improve on weekly) will help as I haven't really stuck to the diet yet!

I have a 'sort of' good week coming up though, as of sun night hubby's on nights and I tend to do green, although in my head its carbs and i'm eating more I usually have a good weight loss, who knows....!!!!

Thank you for all the lovely comments!

We might be off to the beach today, will see what the weather is doing! Hubby bought lush salmon parcels for tonight (salmon in a cheese and dill sauce wrapped in pastry) so will be a zillion syns, gonna be a cc day I suppose. I seem to be getting a little frustrated with sw, I know there's loads to eat but sometimes I feel so restricted. I suppose that's where my choice comes in, look nice or eat nice! :-( Just a little early morning rant :$

Have a happy sw weekend everyone :) x x

How do you all find following the plan from home? Do you feel like you are missing out on anyting? What keeps you motivated and on track when you have a 'bad' day? What day do you weigh in?

Sorry for the questions but im determined to make this work! x

What day did u go to your meeting and get weighed?

Jen don't get frustrated with it! To be fair, you could eat that on slimming world... If you made it yourself haha :p I do agree that that part is frustrating, that you can't just have a treat of a ready meal, or part of a meal, cause there usually so synful! Have you tried searching on here for the syns??

Had a bit of a bad day yesterday... Have been having trouble with a group of friends I used to be close with for a few months now, so I've been distancing myself from them (I can't stand people who just act like children, and have no sense of rational thought!) but last night it all came to blows - yet again - so I was really upset. Sooo I decided to go out with my friends and get drunk haha! Didn't care about syns or anything, was just going to have the day off which I've already been doing way too much, but I got home last night (this morning) and decided to sit there and work all the syns out and it came to 33.5 which really isn't terrible, as I was expecting way worse than that, and I have done worse than that on flexi-syn days and nights out!!

Wizzpop, I weigh in on a monday, just cause it makes sense to do it at the beginning of a new week, for me :) Oh, and I do it in the morning because apparently that's when you're at your lightest ;) As for staying on track and motivated, I have to agree with Sammie that coming on here and moaning to the girls and seeing how well they've done/if they've gone off track (so I'm not alone) is a really good motivator :) I feel we all get much more support out of this forum than we would at a group. If you have all the books from when you joined then you should be set, but we're always here to answer any questions you might have :) x

1st of all Jen you look fabulous!!

Laura you don't need people like that in your life!

Welcome wizzpop!

I went out last night so feel a tad rough today so have made a few bad choices today! Nevermind! Back on track Monday...got a Christening tomorro and it's a Chinese buffet!

I was made up as I got compliments last Bohr at how great I look so that was lovely!

I WI on a Wed at class x

Good evening, room for another? I've got the books etc from when I started SW earlier in the year, but with work, family etc, I find it impossible to make time for a class. I also wasn't fond of my Consultant (she used to say oh, HLV found a pound this week!) if I gained, and the image therapy or whatever was rubbish. So anyway, here I am. First day today. Really struggled! I honestly have been eating my way through each day and I'm hungry today - just not got the right food in, or not sure of what I can have.

Jen, you look fabulous in that dress, you should feel nothing but amazing!

Hi all! *waves*
From going to groups previously I know the diet well and have the books. Attending the groups didn't help me tbh and prefer to go it alone. I have done so previously and lost a stone before I fell pregnant with my little boy. (Of course, I have put that stone back on and the rest!) As long as you are motivated and in the right frame of mind you can do it! :)

THanks for the warm welcome guys! Ive had a bit of a bad day yesterday but did a MASSIVE food shop so IM going begin again, weigh in tomorrow morning and go from there. I have 8 weeks until a dress fitting - 1 stone minimum here I come! x

Hi Wizzpop I think having a goal to aim is key to keeping you motivated. ( so you should be ok)
Try and rid the naughty foods from the cupboards if possible so if you feel tempted you cant get your hands on stuff. I like to keep the fridge stocked with good foods . My weak point is when I come in from work and I'm starving so I have a mug shot until tea is ready. I'm just weighing in at home on a Monday.

Laura people can be horrible hold your head high chick and rise above it all.

Lucylu well done hun , I want to get back into running at some point. What do you use to track your distances ?

HLV hello and welcome read your books and some of the threads to refresh your memory.

Hi Chicklet

I had a bit of a bad day yesterday ( had the kids to soft play then they wanted pick and mix sweets and cookies ) so I need to hold back the syns today. Have a good day all I'm trying magic porridge in a min .

Jen you look amazing in that dress! Stunning ;).

Good luck with the Wedding dress shopping Sammie, I remember doing that when I was a size 20 - it was so depressing having tiny size 12 dresses held 'round' me and trying to imagine what they would look like in tent size :( I hated it. Finally found a shop in Leeds that had a larger selection in more generous sizes and the lady was lovely. I ended up losing loads of weight and she just took the dress in - you couldn't tell what she'd done, it just fitted. So don't worry - they are so used to brides losing loads of weight for the big day. As you said, just enjoy the look on your mum's face :)

Sounds like you had a better night out than me Laura (syns wise) . I dread to think how many were in the fish and chips, chocolate cake, beer and then a kebab on the way home :7834: oh boy, I really went off the rails. Weigh in tomorrow morning may be depressing! I really needed a night like that though. I had a crap week at work and me and a good girlfriend I'd not seen for ages needed a 'put the world to rights' catch up. Going to clean the house top to bottom today - put on some dance music and just attack. Should burn off a good few calories.

Morning all and welcome newbies, so nice to have lots of us here!

We went to the beach yesterday and the family wanted mcdonalds so I had a chicken salad, was surprised at how nice and healthy it was! They all then had ice creams and I had a black coffee!! What's happened to me?!

Saying that I had a night off with a bit of a naughty dinner with chocolate cheesecake for pudding, ha! It was date night tho so I needed it ;-)

On plan now x x

Hi, can I join this group. I live in the south of Ireland and there are no Slimming World groups in my county.
I love Green. i have done every diet under the sun. I hope i have some success this time. (I did lose 5st with Weight Watchers about 8 years ago but have gained and lost 4 st of that weight over and over again).
After spending the summer in Canada (my birthplace) I had to do something about the stone I gained over the summer as well as the weight I needed to lose before the holiday!
Friday morning i was in Tesco and went to the magazine counter, I looked at all the slimming group magazines and when I saw Slimming World I knew it was the right choice for me. I have Slimming World books from 2 years ago.
I started eating the Slimming World way on Friday and I feel better already. My family are benefiting from the change too, the fridge is always full of fruit and veg but as the Slimming World Magazine went in the shopping trolley first, I didn't add any rubbish on top of it!!

Thanks guys, you're all right - I can't wait to fully have them gone from my life! I don't have time or tears to waste on people like that :p

Welcome newbies :) VeggieZara, well done for starting on the day you decided to do it! Often people leave the actual start of the diet till a few weeks after as they need to 'prepare', but I think that just makes it harder :)

Jezzi, your pictures are lovely :) I love the cake haha! Very cute :)

Another two days of... Don't hate me!! Today I am baking because I am going out for my last outing with my friends before they head to uni - we're driving down to have a picnic in the sun at Wat Tyler Country Park :) So rather than try to stick to the plan today, and then get annoyed when I taste test my biscuits when they're done, I'll just do the last two days off - then get back on plan PROPERLY! One of my friends is going to start doing SW with me when term time starts, so that will motivate me :) x

Welcome Zara, sw mag is fab for a bit of inspiration! Planning is key and having lots of free food to snack on. Ask any questions you have, lots of us have been doing sw a while. Saying that, we're all human and mess up time to time. As long as you can tell yourself off and then draw a line under it and get back on plan!

Just had lunch and really fancied scrambled egg so had it with 2 slices of nimble bread (my hexb) and wait for it....NO butter! That is an unbelievable achievement for me cos I absolutely love toast and lots of butter!! Having a roast later so will syn my gravy and have got a ww cheesecake for pudding. Hoping for minimal syns today cos last night I had loads! Also going for a 5 mile run, hopefully :)

Laura, have a fantastic picnic, sounds lush! x
