Donnajt's 2012 Diary...yes I'm back!

GURU KIM63:
IT DOESN'T MATTER! That's where we all go wrong by berating ourselves! What's done is done, did you enjoy being off plan? So what it may take you a few more weeks longer to get to target, but in the long scheme of things does it really matter....NO! We're all in it for the long haul & you & us will have days or weeks like that, but its recognising that & getting straight back on plan which you're doing! Go back to basics & look at it with fresh eyes as we can all get a bit flippant with the plan.....write a diary, try new meals etc etc.

Don't let it get you down Chunky as its not worth the agony of it all. Lifes for living & we all have to let go every now & then......here endeth the lesson! Xx

Ah babe, I am sorry that it wasn't what you wanted. I don't get it, you have been so good. I know me saying "at least it's a loss" isn't going to make you feel better but you are still doing really well, you had a huge loss on your first week and have lost ever since, please bear that in mind. You are changing you and your families lifestyle for the better - that's the main thing, like I said before, whatever the scales say once a week is a bonus - you are making YOU Paul, Meg and Noah four healthy happy people. Please dont be disheartened at half pound off, them bloody scales are mean arent they? Xxx

That sounds heavenly - but stop it - making me add syns to my free bolognese lol! LOL - I am not trying to encourage you - only if you have the spare syns!!! Its a treat for a taste sensation. Mick doesn't like chorizo (he clearly has no taste!) so I add 2.5 syns worth in mine at the end.
Oh Lordy Mick is Mad .... Mad Mick & CharleyBarley

CHARLEY - STOP PUNISHING YOURSELF - YOU HAVE LOST 3LB IN 2 WEEKS THE ONLY WAY IS UP! AND AS OASIS SAY...DON'T LOOK BACK IN ANGER....FOCUS ON THE NOW NOT THE YESTERDAYS - Thanks Donna, I know, I always do my beating up afterwards, never before or during - I guess I would be 9 stone if I did!!!!!!! I am really happy I am in the next stone zone though, I never want to see 18s again.hard
You are really hard on yourself Charley - when Meg and I did the MEND Programme, one of the first lessons they taught the Parents was that as adults we always speak negatively about ourselves...and this is reinforced to our children who in turn become negative. So...our homework one week was to praise yourself ... you had to get up and when you were alone in front of a mirror have a good luck at yourself and pay yourself a compliment and then once a day say something nice about yourself in front of your children...you should try it Charley because it does start you off in the morning in a more positive fame of mind - it hasn't got to be a full length mirror you could be brushing your teeth and say "oh my hair looks great today" or "this mascara is loving my eyes" etc

LOL at your crisp bowl - I wouldn't have mixed them all together - just gone thru 24 packs very easily esp salt and vinegar and then wake up the next morning with a white coating on my tongue that used to peel off over the course of the day .... revolting! - This made me laugh on the train this morning when I read this - although our old bad habits shouldn't really be funny, you have to look back and laugh - S&V crisps would make my tongue bleed! The worst part about my variety crisp bowl was hiding the evidence, I have an ingenious way of folding them into a triangle, then you can dispose of them in other things in the bin, like coke cans! I have a question, do you believe in a 'food addiction' ? I never used to, I thought it was just me being greedy. But I believe it now, I truly do. The behaviour I sometimes exhibit makes me think I have an addiction to food. I was talking to a friend of mine at work the other day and she is a smoker, an addicted who over the years has given up and re-started. She admitted to me that in a very low time when she was trying to give up and she was desparate, she would pick butts up from the street and smoke them rather than go into a shop and buy some, thereby admitting failure. I could relate to that, in my low times when I have been bad and then decided to chuck my naughty food away, only to later retrieve that food from the bin and eat it. It made me realise that I had a very unhealthy relationship with food - perhaps addiction.
OMG that is disgusting!!! Picking up dog ends - I used to be a smoker but never in my years who I have dreamt of doing that pmsl. I can beat your hiding wrappers...baby nappies! its amazing how many you can stuff inside of one

Well done on your 1/2 stone shiney - 3 weeks time that will be your 1 stone shiney - we are onto good things my lovely - we should meet up and go walking or something. I would love to meet up and go out walking or something, we live very close to one another. We should find a good date.
We should do this - I am a Fishing Widow every Saturday, let me know when is good for you x

Ah babe, I am sorry that it wasn't what you wanted. I don't get it, you have been so good. Thanks Charley I needed that - the thing is I sat thru all the nonsense excuses why people had only lost a 1lb and then when it was me I just wanted to scream, everyone looking at me just felt like I was lying. I was seething when I left even forgot to pick up a new magazine - but I didn't turn to food and binge, I washed the floor, scrubbed the bathroom and then went into work for a waste of time meeting (on my day off!)

Am really gonna watch my carbs this week - I'm thinking that could be my problem - what do you think?

No drumroll .... today 0.5lb off - I am so p***ed off - I just don't know what I am doing wrong?

HELP!!!

Oh sweetie, I'm sorry it wasn't the loss you wanted, you know like I do that it's all in the right direction but it actually doesn't make it any less annoying when it is you.

Try the low carbs thing and see how it goes, but do try not to feel too bad. Not every week is a big loss - still as I know when it happens to you no platitudes really help. On the plus side you didn't give in and binge about it and that's a really good thing. You are still eating healthy, yummy food and doing so well.

Just remember - you are awesome - we all think so!!! :bighug:
