Congrats on your weight loss thought id subscribe to gather some ideas, did you use a premade sauce for your satay it looks yum x
Hi xsugarfairyx

Thanks for stopping in - have you got a food diary? let me know and I will pop in

the satay is so easy - here is full recipe but I have just done it really quickly where I have pan friend a bag of chicken strips made peanut sauce and poured it over top - delish!

Satay Recipe is one I found on here sorry to whoeever posted it: (Serves 4)

454g chicken, cut into cubes
2 tbsp dark soya sauce
1 garlic clove crushed
1 tsp ground cumin
Skewers (if you plan on using them and frylight) I don't bother with skewers!

Make up sauce, spread over chicken and leave to marinade (for at least 30 mins). Cook in oven on low heat (about 175) for about 40 mins so chicken is really tender

Satay sauce
3tbsp reduced fat peanut butter (12 syns)
120ml water
1/2 garlic clove crushed
1 tbsp sweetner
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp ff fromage frais (I use more)
Chilli finely chopped or splodge of chilli sauce (optional we like a good KICK!)

Heat gently stirring until combined, don't worry if its runny it thickens as it cools

If you are serving with skewers, pour into little bowls, if not, i add chicken to the satay sauce, mix well and serve, delicious

Serves 4 / 3 syns per serving

Good luck with your first weigh in, let me know how it goes x

Hey Donna

I found you and am now officially subscribed! Wow, very well done on your first weeks' weight loss. Fantastico! I will strive for those kind of goals, if only I could stop being naughty at weekends!!!!!

Can I ask, what do you think of the Linda Mc's Sausages? I fancy trying them but I am not a fan (they are disgusting IMO) of quorn ones. I want to try and up my green days, I usually do EE and tend to steer clear of red days as I find I am hungry.

I am going to give the Stroppy Pesto Rosso a go tonight, but I only have quark in, do you think that would still work?

Thanks
Charley. x

why dont u save a few syns each day and then u can have a few treats at weekend

i guess i am lucky i hate chicken skin. bacon. chops etc so i dont have that same problem as you

the quark should be fine just keep tasting till u get the flavour is right foru x

Thanks hun, I didn't realise they were a) so cheap and b) in the freezer section. Do they do many flavours? I need to do a big shop this weekend to stock up the freezer so I will add them to the list.

I try to save my syns for Le Weekend - in fact I might see how many syns I can save and use - good idea, I am going to challenge myself to a syn save-off - starting today. Thanks Donna - this forum is so fab, I feel very supported on here, like a big sports bra!

Man, I wished I hated skin/rind/fat - I wanna be one of those people who feels sick when they see a bit of fat on their ham, not me - I get excited!!!!!!

I am sorry you feel that way about going to work. Its horrible dreading going into work - is there any way you can look elsewhere for a job? If it is getting you down that much, surely its best for your sanity and health to move on? Is anything in your current job likely to change to make things better? If the answer is no, then you always going to dread work. I worked in a place once where someone, just one person really picked on me, she was a bully - I used to dread getting up in the morning for work, in then end I told her what I thought of her and I walked out. It was the scariest, but most liberating thing I had done then. I found another job, it wasn't a good job but it got me by until I found a better job. But that was many moons ago and I was still at home, so I was safe. I don't think now, having a mortgage and debts I could say that I would walk out of a job. I note you have children too. Maybe you should at least think about looking for a job elsewhere - you know what they say, a change is as good as a rest!

What do you do for a living? If you don't mind me asking.

Chin up Donna.

C x
ps. Is Paul's Thai Curry SW friendly? I do love a Thai!
