DYJHIW you come home from work, the house is a mess and the walls are all marked!

New house, freshly painted and it all needs doing again. Endurance, kid-proof paint my @rse!

Have blew my stack.

I cleaned the carpets on the weekend with the Bissel, despite the heat cos they were really dirty - new house came with cream carpets. Not good with the kids but still.

Came home today and OH has been out with the kids, came back with the pushchair with dirty wheels and went all over the carpet.

Had enough of scrubbing it every day! Have told OH enough is enough and I'm getting quotes on the weekend for wooden flooring and tiles in the kitchen.
Will take out a home improvement loan if needed, just for my sanity lol x

We had wooden floor in our old house and it's made me realise just how much I appreciated it.

Need to get all down stairs done with wood floor and the kitchen tiled. Thinking of getting it done in Nov when we're in holidays, my Dad could co-ordinate it for us and it'll be easier if we're not here.

I will get my own way! It'll drive me mad otherwise lol x

Im all for wood flooring I would have it in this house too but it will cost a fortune so maybe will just have to do a room at a time :-(

Men eh?! It'll cost the best part of 5k I think, time we do the living room, playroom and hallway downstair and then tile the kitchen, utility and downstairs loo.

Needs doing though. I can't abide a dirty house and it's getting me down. Everytime I open the front door and see a grubby cream carpet by heart sinks.

Back to flooring, we've got ceramic tiles all downstairs & love it, it's far easier than carpet & I'm not keen on wooden flooring and I don't need to worry about cups being placed on the floor, OH with muddy shoes, cat with wet paws....................................
