Dukan Do It....

No probs Sid will email it.....just sent it to yahoo address you gave me.

A beautiful morning here in Hull, very warm . I have a feeling I may just sit out for a while with a book. DH and DD possibly popping out for some fish food so I might get half hour silence LOL...........only joking, they not that bad really.

Lost ½lb this morning, so that's a total loss this week of 1½lb. I'm on track for my target date to be at target. 1½ a week will do nicely. Got 6 weeks left to my self imposed deadline LOL....its quite motivating, I am surround by temptation with family sweets and treats, but I'm not tempted once to cheat cos I desperately want to be at target.

I need to start doing a few toning exercises now, but slowly, I don't want to stall again. My bingo wings and wobbly thighs are beginning to annoy me. I found a dress in my wardrobe the other day, I've had it a few years, but never worn it because obviously I was too big LOL, probably had it for at least 5 yrs since my WW trying. Tried it on yesterday and it fits lovely, its the length a maxi dress is, and has a button down front in blue swirl pattern. So that's one dress for the summer.

Food today that's planned:

BF hearty breakfast and yogurt
LN Prawns/Crabstx/Salmon as a seafood salad with quark mayo / Muffins
TE BBQ Meatloaf and Cottage Mix / Jelly
SP Egg Pudding if hungry

Woke up this morning feeling ravenous, not had that for a long while. Might need to boil a couple of eggs as a standby, might defrost some of that chicken I packaged up last week. I will definitely by bulk chicken cooking again, though I might do the packs from farm foods instead of the full chickens. Not sure which works out cheapest.

right enough rambling, off to soak up some rays......see you later

Went for a bike ride with DD today, didn't quite get to do the route I had planned, went thru the park which was absolutely packed, but DD loved it and I enjoyed it too. Last time I rode I was at the height of my weight, this time was much easier, although I'm a bit sore now ;) :p

Was out for about an hour in the end, so that was good exercise. Not done bad this week for exercise, what with bike rides, walk to and from the swimming pool and a day in school. All good stuff.

Fingers crossed the extra exercise shows on the scales eh LOL.

I love your recipe thread
Thank you

You're welcome China.

Well the scales were my enemy this morning, but I now know that I can't have smoked salmon without a gain of some kind, that's the second time in a row. I don't know about it being cooked though, that's a different day to try LOL.

½lb ON!!!

TOTM seems to have arrived too, I think, :D dopey body.

Gorgeous sunny day today, been inside though, got a few bits todo, shouldn't be here really but was passing by on my way to the online banking page LOL.

Be back later with food update

So you just stumbled onto mm lol likely story xxx tom=that little gain that's only a wee xxx

well it was just there, the button was right near the bank button LOL....fingers slipped. :D

My yahoo account seems to have been hacked, and loads of emails have been sent out from my mail all about pregnancy or something. So annoying. Have changed my password so hopefully that will help. Sorry for anyone who has had these emails.

Food today

BF Porridge/Yogurt and Rhub
LN Chicken strips with asparagus and red onion in omelette wraps / Dukan bread Lemon curd
TE Tuna Steak and beef Steak Salad / Muffins
SP Egg Pudding

Not sure on totals for eggs and dairy at the moment, but they are normal amounts and fluids are perhaps slightly up.

had a really bad tummy this evening, the pain was awful. Think it might have been those SF sweets, no idea how many I had LOL, but I have the occasional mint too so they all add up I guess.

DD got her SATS next week and she is really worried about them, told her she can only do her best on the day, and she said 'what if my best isn't good enough' Bless her, poor thing. Because she is doing Level 6 as well, she has to do the 3-5, which means she is doing 9 tests, to other kids 5. There are 5 kids doing the same, but all I can do is give her hugs and build up her confidence hopefully.

So much pressure at a young age,
Give her a hug from me to. Karin your so close know xxx

Hi sid, thanks for that, I'll be hugging her loads LOL, so much pressure on them.

As for close................closer still >>>> :D

Body correction this morning, scales said I have lost 2½lb since yesterday (salmon water weight gone) and I have now lost

6 stone

Woohoo.

And I'm in the 11s. So I will pop back later with proper update, but have to go into work now.

:D :D thank you xxx

I'm feeling a bit shell shocked if I'm honest. To be within half a stone of target and seriously thinking of conso is very scary. Nearly a year of dieting, and a lifetime of trying to lose weight and my goal is in sight. Having to re plan menu's based on veg every day and a starch somewhere, worrying if its the right starch LOL, and as for gala meals....well I don't want to go too mad. There are a few things I miss, crisps and jacket potatoes being the main things. And not just any crisps, strangely I have been a crispoholic for years and I haven't really missed proper crisps whilst Dukaning, but Asda/Morrison's chip sticks.........well I could eat a full bag in one go of them. Yum!!!

The only thing that has been decided is that on day one of Conso I am going to join my daughter for breakfast at school, for toast. They started offering breakfast after September but I couldn't join her. But I soon will be able to :D

Food today 2nd PV day

BF Porridge with rhubarb and yogurt.
LN Chicken with Frais on Dukan Bread and cabbage leaves / Other half of bread with Lemon Curd
TE Mince Beef made into burgers with 2 fried eggs on a mushroom and tomato base.
SP Prawns

And I'm having a wee treat.......got to celebrate the loss, I bought the family a vienetta for pudding, so I am going to have a slice of it. Yum!!!!

6 stone...........................

Karin, whooooooooooooooooooooooooooop, fantastic:d youve changed your life in a year well done xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

thanks Sid. Yeah I guess I have eh. Who'd have thought LOL.

Its changing the mindset of years now that says I need to lose weight, I am overweight, and not happy with my body. Now I need to think, ooo look at my new slim body, I aren't overweight anymore, I'm happier of my body..............still a few things to change ;)

DD did a test SATS paper tonight to revise and see how she did. I found the marking sheet online and I can't see if she did good or bad. The answers are really difficult because it doesn't give a specific yes or no answer, its all a representation. But hopefully its given her some practice.

Had my treat tonight, feel a bit yukky now, it was very delicious, but my tummy seems to be rebelling a bit. Ah well, will see how we go in the morning, not expecting to have lost anymore, not bothered really so long as I don't gain LOL.

Gonna go pop and see how everyone else is.

I despise these SATS for our year 2's and 6's. The just seen so unnecessarily stressful and difficult when all assessments can be done by teachers throughout the term/year. All it shows is how good the children are at remembering things in a contrived environment and performing under immense pressure. It bears no resemblance to her learning, understanding, interpretation, meta cognition, higher order thinking skills or overall ability.

Tell your daughter that Mrs Morris says she is NOT to worry about them. Tell her high school teachers use them to see what group they should go in and will change them ASAP if the work is too hard or too difficult. Ridiculous! Tell her after SATS it's party time too!!!

Kell x

Thanks Kell. Another friend who is a TA said the High schools won't use the results at all so I told DD that tonight, she breathed a sigh of relief. I'll tell her your answer too. I agree they totally useless and puts everyone involved under a lot of stress. thanks hun xx

Poor kid :-(

The teachers end up teaching to the test too which is just pointless? What boring learning 'today children, we are going to learn how to pass a test' and don't get me started on the year 1 phonics screening test!! AHHHH!!!

I'll stop now eh? #pmtrant

There always seems to be something to screen/test/assess. Its never ending. I don't remember her ever worrying about the yr 2 sats, but I guess that's cos she was to young. I was changing reading books in the library this afternoon and the yr 2 teacher was doing a set of sats with a small group, it was done in a way that the kids wouldn't have even known. Yr 6 is totally different :(

Cos DD is a higher ability child she is doing the level 3-5 and the level 6. 9 tests to do in all. No wonder she's worried. Tonight she did a practice 6 reading, and it was awful watching her face as we discussed the possible answers, she looked so downhearted. She said that what if that one wrong answer is what makes her fail and the high school puts her in a lower group. I know that although the school she is in is such a small primary, she is going to get a bit of a rude awakening at a large high school, so many children and she won't be the cleverest any more. I just hugged her and told her she was going to be ok.

A level 6 SAT is hard. Surely they're not making her do levels 3,4,5 AND 6?? Level 4 is average so she shouldn't be touching level 3 or 4 in my humble opinion

9 tests seems an awful lot!

. All she can do is her best - she is obviously very talented but under huge pressure, your poor baby :-(

Y2's are much less pressure but the staff aren't as pressured to make the chn perform.

Tests are not a valid way of assessing children. I still stand by that - its unfair and inaccurate.

Lol kell, no she's not doing all levels, she's doing 5 and 6. According to timetable for tests 5 tests at levels 5 and 4 at level 6. Reading writing spelling and maths with mental maths too. App she has to do 5 cos the 6s aren't strictly usual, only 5 of the test 6s in our school doing them. Gave her you're answer this morning and with what other person has said she seemed relieved, thou I imagine next week will be a different story. :D

Oops, typing on the mobile made that last post look daft. Meant to say 5 of the kids are doing the 6s.

Went to the high school that has been doing the booster classes for the 5 children (including DD), they did a presentation evening to hand out certificates and tell us what the kids have been doing etc. Apparently there are 36 children from about 6 primary schools that have been going and doing the booster classes and DD was chosen for the prize from the English teacher for the person who had impressed him most. He said she is enthusiastic and gives every piece her all. So proud.

As for Dukan today, I lost ¾lb this morning, another step closer to TW. I was soooo good tonight too, at the presentation evening they had a buffet with lots of lovely food and cream cakes, and I didn't have one single bit. Declined and stood feeling so proud of the fact. I had my tea before we went so no reason to indulge.

Food today

BF Porridge with Yogurt.
LN Dukan bread with scrambled egg and prawns on top with two slices of pastrami. Other half of bread with lemon curd.
TE Salt & Pepper Chicken (without salt LOL) and Cottage cheese mix with same ingredients for seasoning...very nice.
SP Jelly n yogurt and a Dukan cheesecake.

Also had two small Dukan cheesecakes mid afternoon with my friends who were over for a card workshop, they had mini rolos and banana buns and I had two Dukan cheesecakes LOL. I did have 1 mini rolo this afternoon. I split the remaining rolos evenly between DH and DD and it left one over at the end. So I sat and savoured it. Naughty, but quite pleased I didn't even feel the need to have more than that one.
