Hockey sounds like a plan as much as I was never one for team sports when I was younger I fell totally in love with roller derby it was such fun belonging to a team and really looked forward to learning new things at practice and of course playing games and winning woohoo :p x

Yeah and team sports is a great way to meet new people. Rollar Derby sounds cool! All the skating I did a a child you would think I'd know how to roller skate but I've never tried.
I can do the skate ones...I mean I never tried the rollerblades

Oh I thought I read u missed meals! I think u will b ok this wk!

U can always go back to sw in a couple months when u feel better but for now I would stick with the plan u find easier and r happier on!

Derby is played on quad skates the ones with 2 wheels on each side rather than rollerblades. Where are you based there's bound to be a team near you they are all over the place now :)

If you were a champion figure skater you would be fab at roller derby no doubt ;-) a lot of the best derby players in the world come from skating backgrounds as kids and many of them in figure skating! X

Lincolnshire. I may look into it!

Right guys this may sound like a stupid thing to be proud of but.....I booked in for a sports massage. I've never had one before as I've always been too self conscious. Like worried they might think I have a fat back. So I'm quite proud ive took that step. It's meant to be quite intense and deep but I feel like it is what I need! I'm getting it Saturday, she's coming to my house. It's my friends sister, she's been doing them years. I think he qualified when we was still at school. So she's a pro!

I've been down to Lincoln to play against the Lincolnshire bombers derby team so there defo is one ;-)

They will probably have a website telling you when the next games are and you should totally go see one and see if it's something you fancy! Teams run fresh meat sessions usually every few months where they reach you all the basics before you can join a team.

Anyway just an idea, could always try hockey of course! Just thinking it would make good use of your skating skills and it's great exercise. X

That's great news about the sports massage, glad you were able to feel good about yourself to book it :0) hockey would be really cool to get into, look forward to hearing how you get on.Ergh at that woman at the gym, sounds like a nightmare!

I'll look into it! Maybe go see it first and see what I think! It does sound pretty fun! Does it attract a big crowd then? Or mainly friends and family?

U could do ice hockey?! Or is that just in America?

They do ice hockey here too! I'm think I could cope as I have the balance and speed but it's quite a quick paced game and I don't know the rules. But it's a good idea I will look into that too! I know there is a men's team around here. So there should be a women's!

I had a yummy breakfast this morning
A 'doctor food' multiseed and cereal pitta, which is a cool circle shape (6 in a pack for 66p in tesco on offer) with scrambled egg and ham and mushroom! Seriously yummy!

Lunch will be chicken salad with cottage cheese and one of my cucumbers from the garden! They are cute mini ones. Lebanese cucumber!

Pub meal tonight but I'll pick well!

Snacks - I have grapes, apples, oranges in my fruit bowl at work! I have a ww yogurt, I have velvet crunch, I have cereal bars! So lots of good choices! I'll see how I feel!

Yup lots of good snacks there :0) hope you enjoy the pub meal tonight.Breakfast this morning sounds nice, any chance those pittas are free on sf?lol

He'll be fine! I might do a search on here then! It's meant to be rock hard! Like the best workout available! It's expensive to buy I think! Not sure whether to try it or not! Seems scary!
