The engagement ring you posted looks lovely. Was the 1st favourite similar in style? I know exactly what you mean about the cost of rings, different scenario but my mum is buying me two rings with an insurance payout she got, we argued for a very long time about how much was acceptable to spend and even when I found one I liked at £300 she still ended up ordering the one I also liked at £150 too. Grrrr. Its nice that you are arranging for OH to pick the engagement ring, but giving him plenty of pointers on what you like. Hope he's feeling better by next weekend to do it - after being engaged for several weeks its definitely time you got the ring!

Spaghetti bolagnese is great comfort food. We have got lasagne tomorrow as a last day of holiday treat. Very much looking forward to it.

And definitely don't worry about the jaffa cakes - 80 calories is nothing in the scheme of things but i do think syns sound worse than PP as it adds up so quickly with the 20 calorie conversion.
 
Hi atomic! The rings are very similar! I don't wear rings often, hardly ever! And I think I'd prefer something flat. Anyway I showed him them and he likes them both but there is another ring exactly the same, double price, that's 18 carrot and a bigger carrot diamond! They look the same! Anyway I'll leave it to him! We was meant to get one this weekend but he's too poorly!

Today's menu

Breakfast
Toast (HEXB) peanut butter (2 syns)
Sliced apple

Lunch
Lettuce, onion, cucumber, feta (3.5syns) dressing (2 syns)
Sushi snack pack (1.5 syns)

Dinner
Linguine 70g
Bolagnase made with:
Minced beef 7% fat = (2.5syns)
Carrot, onion, garlic, mushrooms, tomato, herbs

Snack 30g cheese (HEXA)

Syns = 11.5

I aimed for 12 syns to correct yesterday! Perfect!

Annoyed that I couldn't get the 5% fat mince so it would be free but never mind! So all the veg I put in the bolagnase really bulked it out. 2 portions in the fridge.

Try quorn next time then you would get more healthy extras too :p sounds like a good day and it's easy to cut back a couple syns to get back on track- I ended up counting syns weekly at the end as found it more flexible. Lovely rings hope you get one soon :) x

Yup! I've stuck to it 100% so far! It's different foods and is keeping me interested! But we'll see the numbers on thursday and see if it's worked lol! Although I do think you need about a month to see if it's worked! I imagine if I pp my week I would probably have used less pp! As I feel like I've been snacking a lot less!

Okay so today is cheese making! Hopefully will be ready for tomorrow morning:

I was gonna buy 2% but 0% was on offer for Hlf the price! So this is syn free (or 0pp on sf)

Be interesting to see how it turns out :0) I think you're right about giving our bodies a month to see how the diet/lifestyle change affects them,
 
I sometimes hate kiwi! I have to be in the right mood!

1 slice toast (hexb)
Mushrooms

Lunch
Jacket potato + tuna + onion
Side salad. Dressing 1.5 syn

Dinner
Chicken + noodle + mushroom stirfry! Got so much veg to go in that I won't list them all.
Sweet Chilli and ginger sauce (5.5 syns.....yikes would have used soy but thought use this up as nearly sell by date)

Snacks
Fruit salad
Velvet crunch 4

Syns used 11

I know I have a hexa to use! Not sure what on yet! I may have some cheese and grapes later!
 
Mmm stocked up on dry noodles today at tesco.
I got 2 packs of blue dragon noodles at 40p each. Plus for any of you doing SF the wholewheat noodles are on offer for £1 and the tesco own brand wholewheat are on 80p for a big pack!

Just letting you all know! :)

Don't think I'll bother with a HEXA today! I'm stuffed! Stirfry was sooo yummy! Couldn't eat it all!

Feeling positive! Hopefully my bloating would have gone by then! I weigh less than I did last thur but feel like a whale.

I've stuck to SW 100% but probably done a bit less exercise than usual. I did do a 5mile run today though! Rained when I was 5mins from home. Gutted! Lol!
 
I have frylite olive oil.....pretty much empty.
So if I cleaned it out and put actual olive oil in.....it should still be 1 cal a spray right?

Since frylite ingredients is pretty much oil and a few chemicals.

Glad you are feeling positive about it,shame about the bloating though,hate that feeling.Thats good about your weight being less then last Thursday.Boo to the rain when you were almost home!

Think so,that would be good if could put actual oil in their containers when they are empty.
