eee look another food diary!

Been for a 2mile walk this morning, then will go for another one later when I pick the boys up and I'm going to have a sneaky swim while they have their lesson. Been pottering in the garden this morning and having a general tidy. I was bad and got a costa cupcake when we dropped the boys off but I'll just syn it so it's ok. Calorie counting I'm finding really helpful too. Sticking to plan is good but I think my portions were way too big so this is helping me understand it more.

GREEN DAY - Wednesday

Breakfast : costa cupcake, a choc cupcake is 7, so I'll put it as 10 to be safe. (10syns) pot of tea w/skimmed milk (little hexA)

Brunch : omelette, spinach, tomato, mushroom, sweetcorn

Late lunch : riso gallo risotto, quorn pieces, peas, mushrooms, spinach, Parmesan (hexA)

Snack : mini ritz crackers (4syns) Strawberries

Dinner : SW pizza.. Used wholemeal warburtons sq thing (hexB) SW ragu sauce, chicken (hexB) peppers, red onion, sweetcorn. Watercress, tomato and red onion salad (balsamic)

Drinks : water, tea, this crazy japanese green matcha tea which is supposed to be 137x Stronger than normal green tea so really good for weightloss and metabolism.

Exercise : walking - 4 miles. Swimming - 35 mins

I've been picky eating which is sooo dangerous as I don't really know what I've eaten now.. I've been under syns last few days so should be ok. Need to make some soup for when I get the munchies!! Picked at my kids tea they're having the same as me, so maybe another 8 syns, for bread, little cheese and a few pieces of salami. I HATE TOTM!!!! it wrecks dieting!!!

I went to bed so I didn't eat any more last night, fingers crossed today will be better, I'm going to do an EE day and hopefully it'll keep me a bit more satisfied. So I don't snack as much or pick. I woke up at 5 so now I'm already shattered, so can't be bothered with walking to the pool, just going to have a quiet day and then try the 30ds later when the boys are in bed.

EE DAY - Thursday

Breakfast : WW Danish bread, salmon, 2 poached eggs, strawberries

Snack : 2 WW biscuits (4syns)

Lunch : Greek salad, lettuce leave, cucumber, tomato, red onion, feta (hexA) salmon. Olives (2syns)

Snack : freddo bar (5syns)

Dinner : SW fish and chips (4syns breadcrumbs) mushy peas, salad

Drinks : tea w/milk (hexA) water, matchu tea. Green tea

Exercise : walking - 2.5 miles, 30DS - day 1, level 1

Total syns : 15

I really need to eat breakfast when I wake up, the days I don't I always have a massive energy/munchie attack about 4/5ish, then want to snack loads... must try harder to do this!
 
I lost that 1lb I gained so that's good news!! Going to keep up with swimming too as seems to be making a difference, it's only been 4 days too so hopefully by next week I'll have dropped again. Fingers crossed anyway! Going to try having small meals through the day to curb my appetite so I don't snack. oops going to have to change to EE as I want pasta for tea..

EE DAY - Friday

Breakfast : tiny bowl of cereal when I woke up as had to go to docs early (half hexB) (half hexA skimmed milk).

Brunch : SW hash brown, 2 poached eggs, salmon. pineapple. Alpen light (half hexB)

Snack : some olives - oil (3 syns)

Dinner : spaghetti bol, (Pasatta, chopped tomato, onion, garlic, mushrooms, peppers, carrot) watercress, tomato and red onion salad. Parmesan (half hexA) red wine in sauce (4syns)

Had really early dinner so made a bacon and mushroom sandwich later on (6syns)

Drinks : tea, water, matchu tea

Exercise : walking - 1.5miles

TOTAL SYNS : 13

Having a chilled weekend as I've spent so much money this week. Bought bf a guitar for his birthday and booked all my Thailand hotels which took the money out straight away.. Super skint!! So happy is all booked all our hotels bar koh phagnan are sorted :)

EE DAY : saturday

Breakfast : bacon and mushroom sandwich (hexB) + (3.5syns) 2 WW ginger biscuits (4syns)

Dinner : Vietnamese food. Lots of seafood, nice salad, monkfish, lovely dry fried noodles. Hot and sour seafood soup. Squid! Yum!!!! I can't see it being too bad in syns as its not oily like Chinese food. I'm not drinking this weekend either so dirt wise I'm gonna let it go and have no syns mon just incase :)

Drinks : water, tea w/milk (hexA) matcha tea.

We go 21st aug!!! I can't wait! Our hotel in Bangkok is where they filmed hangover 2, the one on phi phi looks out at where they filmed the beach and koh Tao is this unreal little beach cottage that's really quirky with loads of wood and big cushions everywhere with a hammock on the porch. I'm so excited! Xx

A bit anxious about today, I've said I'm not drinking until thailand, if I drink at weekends I STS even though I'm really good food wise so if I want to lose weight I'm going to have to quit til i go, but going to bf's dads who always has tonnes of booze and will think its weird if I don't, or be insulted! So i'm gonna try and stick to my guns and not drink! Also he's making roast lamb which def won't be diet friendly so drinking will make a big difference too. Ahhh!

EE DAY - Sunday

Breakfast : toast (hexB) salmon, poached eggs.

Lunch : Prawn salad. roast lamb. carrots, broccoli, cauliflower. ice cream (8syns?)

Dinner : ohhhhhhh dear, I got a chicken kebab :( after loads of shandy, and red wine. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Oh god, yesterday did not go to plan at all. I had a wine with lunch then that turned into me getting hammered at a hippy festival and then a drunken kebab. Oh dear oh dear! Didn't even drink SW friendly booze, beer Shandys! Oops. Back on plan today though.

EE DAY : Monday

Breakfast : salmon, bread, flora x light (1syn) banana (hexB)

Snack : mini twister lolly (2.5syns) hash brown (3syns)

Lunch : low fat chilli noodles, quorn, sweetcorn, mushrooms and spinach

Dinner : SW veg curry (courgette, carrot, shallots, garlic, green beans, potato, peas), tandoori turkey kebabs, rice. (3.5syns - coconut milk)

Drinks : water, tea w/milk (hexA) matcha tea

Boys came back from their dads and we went to a jubilee street party thing near mine, I was resolved to be good, but left the house hungry which is dangerous, so basically ate like a pig... oops, oh well, I'm not gonna beat myself up, I haven't been out drinking all weekend like I usually would on a bank holiday weekend, I've been sensible 2 of the 4 days which is also better than normal, so I'm getting there! I'm just going to be good the rest of the week now the holiday is over, plus its half term so we can go and do some active things this week, and I'm going to go swimming weds/thurs. One good change I can see, is that if I have bad food sometimes in the day, I'll not give up for the day, I'll go straight back to SW at the next meal.. thats a positive change for me, everytime previous to this, if I've cheated I just stop for the day/week.

EE DAY - Tuesday

Breakfast : Some leftover SW veg curry (2syns)

Snack : sushi pack

Lunch: a hotdog with onions, a choc cupcake, some of my kids chips, a little candy floss (NOT a whole bag of the stuff!) mini pork pie (not the pastry though)

Dinner : SW roast chicken, roast garlic veg (new potatoes, BNS, courgette, pepper, mushroom, carrot, red onion.) Salad (FROM MY GARDEN! WOOO!) 7

Drinks : water, tea w/milk (hexA), matcha tea, diet coke.

TOTAL SYNS : LOADS! AGAIN! argh ha!

Exactly I think getting right back on it rather than using it as an excuse to have a blowout is a MASSIVE important step- I never used to be able to do that but can now :) I know some people get really anal about sticking to plan to the letter and good for them for being able to be do strict with themselves but being relaxed enough to enjoy social events when they pop up is important to as is realising that making better choices and sticking to plan most of the time is still a huge achievement! X
 
Thats exactly it! I used to be so bad at having a bad day then saying I'd start again Monday, also I'm drinking so much less, which is good. To be honest I don't think I'd want to be so rigidly stuck to plan, sometimes it's nice to go out and not really mind. Hope you had a nice jubileeee :) xx
 
Back to plan today, stuck in the house though as I'm getting my garden done so me and the kids are a bit bored in the house. Garden looks so much bigger already! They've taken a greenhouse down and cut a big bush out. Fence next :)

Lunch : chicken, salad, roast veg (last night leftovers)

Going to finally get out the house and go for a walk/softplay/swimming with the kids, maybe park too if the weather holds out. Didn't do a lot over jubilee and feeling sluggish after a week of feeling good from swimming, so quite a contrast in my mood, I can feel the difference exercise was making to me. After just a week, so that's definitely a reason to keep going once the boys are back at school.

GREEN DAY : Thursday

Breakfast : omelette (3 eggs) reduced fat cheddar (hexA) tomato, mushroom, mixed leaves

Lunch : Had lunch at soft play, was sensible though and had quorn chilli with rice. Mozzarella (hexA) sour cream (3.5syns)

Dinner : salmon and prawn (hexB) creamy pasta. Red pesto (1.5syns) mushrooms, red onion, garlic, chilli, wine (2syns) creme Fraiche.(1.5syns) Lemon, basil. Watercress salad, tomato, olives (0.5syns) spray oil (1syn)

Strawberries

Drinks : tea w/milk (a little hexA) diet pepsi, water, 1 gin and slimline tonic (4syns)

YAYAY, I found out I passed my first year yesterday, went and got final marks, so so happy! Got a 65 in one essay too, which for 1st yr I'm super happy with, as thats the only one from the whole year I felt I finally understood what they wanted so now I can work on it and hopefully do better in 2nd yr, I really want a 1st as thats gonna help me loads more in getting onto my masters. Going to my mams today, we're having an indoor picnic as the weathers crap and we were going out, but its pissing down so would be awful countryside walking today!

RED DAY - Friday

Breakfast : salmon, 2 poached eggs, toast (hexB)

Lunch : Went to my mams who did this big indoor picnic, there was nothing SW friendly, and after realising I was starving and tucked into a sandwich (1/4) and sausage I got sensible and went and made a big salad :) go me!! there were pork pies, crisps, cakes, tonnes of sandwiches and I was super good! yayay!!

gammon and salad (lettuce, cucumber, pepper, tomato, cucumber, gerkin, celery), olives (0.5syns) feta (hexa) a sausage (4.5syns) white bread (3syns)

Dinner : shepards pie (mince, mushrooms, carrot, onion, celery) with celeriac and potato (hexB) on top. Broccoli. Gravy granules (2syns) cheese on top (hexA)

Thanks! Well I finished 2 weeks ago but went and picked my final marks up yesterday, so at least now I can relax the rest of the summer! Xx
