Well done on the loss that's great!

Well done on the super loss! I think using syns on real food makes such a big difference too :) x

2.5 lbs on EE is a great loss Charl

Thanks ladies! I just clicked this actually is a pretty good loss as I have been getting the bus for schools runs too with all the snow and poor daisy dog hasn't had many walks lately, so no exercise really at all :) yay! X

Well done on the loss Charl! Pasta looks great, and how good was Daniel making that for you haha?! Looks well yummy! x

Hey charl fab loss well done! im just starting red days and looking at your diary you do them too, just wanted to ask a question, is cous cous free on red days?

Hey love! I do usually do more red days than any other, but this last week I thought I'd give EE another go as it is the one that feels least dietish and you don't really need to think about what your eating. Might stick with it again this week and see how I get on next WI.

Cous cous isn't no, only brown pasta. I must admit I do tweak and have 100g brown rice or wholewheat noodles sometimes. Not loads just occasionally and never seemed to stop me losing. Always the Wholegrain options tho never white. X

SORRY! Just re-read your post, I answered it completely wrong! None of what I said is free on red days, I read it as a hexB choice for some reason! Don't go filling up on pasta and that, I meant as a hexB choice it's sometimes what I do. No refined pasta, carb heavy veg, pulses, rice or beans are free on red x

I can help with suggestions for red meals if you like, I pretty much do red all the time :)

yes please jen do you have a food diary?

i do green and EE days loads with just the odd red day thrown in, i really struggle with them!

When I do red days I usually do lots of casseroles and stews and stuff, but have loads of mashed swede and veg, or chicken thighs roasted with honey and lemon and lots of roast veg like peppers, red onion, squash, mushrooms, courgettes, aubergene etc.. and some fine beans. Or make a SW spag bol and use one of my hexB's for 100g brown spaghetti, and have lots of salad with it. Frittatas are really good too, as they are pretty filling. I made a vege sausage casserole the other day that would be fab on red with some broccoli and green beans. If I do a roast I'll just have meat, mashed swede, broccoli, carrots and roast some butternut squash instead of potatoes. I usually find on red is I have new potatoes as one of my hexB's, then half the amount is totally fine so then have half a Hex left which I use for an alpen light. xx

I don't have a food diary, probably should! Charl has given good suggestions tho. I actually eat normal meals but just 2/3 veg and 1/3 meat. So casseroles are fab, cottage pie with mashed root veg instead of potato, curries with spiced cauliflower instead of rice, sausage casserole or with butternut squash mash, sw fry ups, omelettes/fritata, steak with mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, lasagne and layer aubergines instead of pasta, stir fries with peeled long slices of carrot/courgette instead of noodles, huge salads with lean meat/cheese/hard boiled eggs, sf soups, pork chops/chicken tray bake with roasted veg, lamb tagines. I basically fill up on veg, would quite happily eat a huge plate of brocolli so it's ok for me!!

No worries! I used to struggle massively with red days, but they're good now, if you do them consistently when you have carbs again you get super bloated so watch out for that!

I just put my food into MFP and realised the peanut butter I put in was only half my hexB so just had half an sandwich with cheese and pickle, been craving it loads lately, was perfect! :) x

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeee! I just realised you can have halloumi as a hexA on EE and red now :) yey! I LOVE that stuff!

35g for full fat, doesn't have a lighter option but id sneakily up that to 40g for reduced fat :) I love burgers with halloumi on. Yum! X

Ohh. Ps! I've just seen your at Uni doing your teacher training, are you going your pgce? I'm going a placement in a high school at the mo for my degree xx
