Elkays resurrected food diary

Im thinking of cancelling my membership too, there's just too many inaccuracies... I have the calculator on my phone, and the books for the "Plan" so that should be enough. And of course, the support of Team Fabulous here. Should be all I need... :)

With you 100% Lesley :) x

Hi Jen, I'm kinda glad that you feel the same way, I did wonder whether I was over reacting! I was going to order a ProPoints calculator, but when I looked in the WW site 'shop' for the details of where to ring it said words to the effect of 'available January', so looks like they have sold out. I shall have to use the old Points system if I decide to stay with WW as I don't have any of the ProPoints info now I've cancelled the membership!

Good luck for this weeks WI Jen.

Evening Lesley. (I so wanna call you Kitten like Kals does coz I think it's fab and so suits you :D)

So... why are they rolling out a new system when they can't get half the points right on the main site that people are paying for and recieving and not getting calculators until January? Are they that desperate to get poeple to go to meetings I wonder?

Now don't get me wrong, I am WW through and through, open me up and you will see 'DISCOVERY' written all the way through me, but it just seems really odd that such a major weight-loss company that has got to be worth billions, would be so slack at something like this.

Rant over.

Have a great evening. xxx

Hi Nik, well what can I say other than I agree, it is really bad . I'm fed up of the whole thing so have just had a couple of days of not doing anything plan/diet wise.

What next? Well other than just give up completely, which has crossed my mind, I'm seriously considering the The Harcombe Diet - I downloaded the book and recipe book a while back and there are similarities to the GL plan which suited my stomach really well. Shopping either tomorrow or Saturday so shall have another good look at the book and make my decision. I need to do something and stick to it.

Confession - I ate a whole triange of smelly cheese today . Was ruddy lovely but you can see where not following some sort of plan will lead me!

Anyway, you can call me anything Nik though at the moment feel more like elephant than kitten :D.

Hope you have had a lovely day.

Oh yum
in all honesty I think Harcombe would really suit you Lesley and absolutely no reason why you can't have smelly cheese on it bonus time :D
I'm sorry your having a diet crisis though is it all the counting etc I find it really faffy all that fat, protein, carbs etc etc

Oh Kals that cheese was amazing - especially as it was washed down with a nice glass of red wine :D. I did exercise restraint and stick to just one glass so was pretty pleased with myself!

Well decided to go for it - Day 1 Phase 1 today and it has gone surprisingly well :). I have planned what I am going to eat for the 5 days so I can make sure I have all the stuff in and wont have any excuse not to stick to it.

Diet dilema was caused by being totally p'd off with the WW tracker online. For a start I tend to shop at Tesco and hardly any of their own brand stuff was on there - ham for instance, nothing exotic! Used the generic but had to guess, one said 1 pp per slice but another was 0 pp! Although I stuck to my 29 pps, I had no faith that the pointing was correct. I didn't want to buy the calculator until I had given it a try - when I looked on the website for info how to get the calculator it said 'available January' so I assume they have sold out. All in the whole thing just annoyed me .

Anyway, I'm giving THD 100% and as you said, I think it will probably suit me and hopefully I can lose this 26lb. I'm following in your footsteps swapping and changing aren't I?:D

Thanks for your support Kals. Have a great weekend.

Of all the people I have seen doing and still doing THD, they are all coming off with fabulous results, and funnily enough, the same loss every week, then at about week five everyone seems to have a STS, it's really interesting to watch, and as Kals says, the cheese is a bonus on that plan.

I've found the best person to watch with THD is RedPam in Members Only, she has been doing it for a fair while now with great results and if anyone is stuck on anything, she has all the answers.

So, I'm going home on the 21st, don't suppose you fancy a coffee in Halesowen do you one of the days, either in the new market or go a bit more up market like Wethies :p I leave it up to you, if you're not too busy.

Have a great weekend Lesley. xxx

Hi Nik - yes, will definitely meet up for a coffee (no cake though, don't think it's allowed on THD :D) I will have a look at what time I have off and then you can choose a day, I will certainly make time though. May even be able to pop into a charity shop or two, they are my favourite in Halesowen!

I'm definitely trying THD, was tempted before when I downloaded the e books but chickened out but drastic times call for drastic actions and I need to get this 26lb shifted :D.
Have planned my meals for Phase 1 which is only 5 days and will take me to Tuesday. This is quite an achievement as i am not a planner when it comes to meals.

Hope you're OK. Have a lovely weekend. Is Nick back next week? I bet Aisha has missed him hasn't she?

Thanks for your support.

Hi Rachael - day 2 going OK so far thanks, had brunch - bacon egg and tomatoes and then having spag bol (but without the mushroons & spag but with shredded white cabbage in place of pasta!) for tea. Tea will have to be early (for us) as we're going to the dogs tonight (as in greyhound racing) so I want to make sure I'm full before I go and don't get tempted to have crap while I'm there. I'm driving so bottled water for me so all good hopefully:D

I'm not a great fish lover, but I do like tinned salmon - doesn't even have to be the red stuff, I'm quite happy with the cheap pink stuff!

Thanks for popping in.

day one done and dusted-how did you find it ?

Good thank you Jane. I was hungry late last night though so got up and 6 cherry tomatoes and a pint of water :D.

Not too keen on these cooked breakfasts, I like my porridge with skimmed milk, but it's only 3 more days now and then I can revert back to porridge :D. Have you tried that Kello (sp?) rice stuff? I was thinking of trying that with NLY for breakfast on Monday when I am back at work. I leave the house at 6.45 and usually have porridge at work at about 8.30 - can't be eating a cooked brekkie at my desk!

Thanks for visiting :). Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Kals, I will try and have the rice and yoghurt :). Day 1 & 2 have gone really well thank you. I think it's made it easier because I cut back on the carbs for the GL diet and didn't really start having them again when I tried WW PP's. I had shredded, boiled white cabbage with my mushroomless and pastaless spag bol tonight and i have to say I really enjoyed it - worked surprisingly well. Only 3 days left of phase 1 now and I have planned what I am eating so should be OK :cross:.

Did I read that you are sticking with PP? Good luck with it if you are.

Have a lovely Sunday - if you're working I hope it goes very fast for you, if you're off, hope you get to do something nice :).
