Consolidation Ellie's back cruising her way back to target

mare not foaled yet.... im so tired as hubby not been taking a turn at watching her.... lots of coffee for me today keep saying she doesnt look far off

highland news.... didnt get to go on the thursday as planned due to mare... was up at 2am checking her friday then drove the 4 hours to show, lorry park was waterlogged walkways to rings were awfull... nearly had my boots sucked off a few times, The yearling was 4th in her class just far too tired and wouldnt trot, such a long trip for her. the 3 year old really showed herself off but only managed 5th... felt quite hard done by actually. had a a quick nosey round the stands but was just far too tired to shop ...didnt go near the food hall as was too crabby to cope with the crowds lol left early afternoon as had a 4 hour drive back again so we missed the big downpour thankfully. when we seen how much water there was on the friday night we decided not to go back down saturday or sunday.

tell me about it... the small amound of suntan i got a few weeks ago has gone... i was hoping for a good start before heading to france next week .... i may just have to go for a few sunbed sessions otherwise ill fry over there

Well Highland sounds a bit of a nightmare...... At least you got there and home in one piece, hate it when you feel you haven't had a fair bite of the apple - mind you that's showing for you - only one persons opinion! I always go by how I feel the horse went and if I am happy with that then that is enough!!!
Well at least you have France to look forward to next week - is conso still going good - no posts for a few days? Bet you can't wait to see some sun!!! SOOOOOO sick of no summer!

was struggling a bit last week and had a few bits and pieces i shouldnt have ... i admit to being rather stressed about mare not foaling and ruining my show plans and when im upset and stressed i eat hubby didnt help matters when he orginised a friend to go with him to the highland instead of me... i hid in my room in tears with a full packet of chocci digestives :wave_cry: i actually told him last night how upset that made me as they were my ponies and he should have offered to stay home to let me go but mr selfish didnt see it my way.

I was speaking to a producer from edinburgh at the show that i know and she commented on my new boy and said what a lovely lovely pony he was omg i was like the cat that got the cream when she said that as it meant so much. also caught up with his breeders and they are so chuffed that i love him so much

Honestly Ellie sometimes your hubby needs a kick up the jacksy!!! Wee food deviation won't have mattered - get back on track this week in preparation for your holiday - oh it's gonna be sooooooo nice!!!
