ellies dukan diary the next step Cruise

think we are going to try 2 bits on him rather than the single show pelham...hopefully can borrow a set to see as its getting expensive changing bits all the time lol .... his normal gag has a lozenge middle and cuprian (??) metal.... he goes well in that and ive seen a hanging cheek snaffle in the same mouthpiece and metal on ebay so will get one of those if hes reasonably ok in the french link one i have (never tried him in that yet)

anyway its hot here suns out so im away out to do more gardening & fence painting & hopefully catch some rays :flirt2:

Really want to try a hanging snaffle too - mind you my new bit arrived last week and still haven't tried it out - had a ported middle and was three piece which I think could be interesting!! Hope you had a lovely day catching some rays and ate lots of Dukan friendly food. xxx

had a good day foodwise and weatherwise... the 2 mares that are in the outside stables were sweating as it was so hot yesterday... cant wait to get my other 2 boxes up indoors as its much cooler there for them. all the ponies had the stripping blade on them yesterday.... even the baby, she loved having a good itch with me hehe. shes been good going in and out again and now walking on a loose rope with still the chain on under her chin incase she starts.... think ill start putting an extra rope on her & lead her off that but have the one with a chain on as a back up. its fab to have her out now though and she patiently waits at the gate on her turn to come in... they all know what order they come in at LOL. had the broodies rugs off and shes looking well and a bit more tum than normal i think so fingers crossed she is still in foal :D im going to wash her mane & tail today...her coat is looking brilliant so im thinking i may take her out and do inhand with her on the 7th. the 3 year old is the one we wanted to get out but shes taken a spurt and looks awfull atm... needs dr green ....considering putting her in the garden would save me mowing an acre lol

sun shining again today :D more fence painting to do and want to do some of the grass.

Hi Ellie!

I'm going to say 'hear here' to alottolose - you're menus are fantastic! Such a help to us all, I'm sure. I'm envious of you being in lovely Scotland, in the outdoors with your horses - getting that tan!!! :) x

was breezy today so didnt get much skin exposed.... did get most of the grass cut in the garden this afternoon so i hope it stays dry overnight to get the last bit done as its pretty long.

Oh sounds like a productive couple of days, if you don't have a good loss this week I don't know whats happening Ellie - can't wait for Sat for you!!! You have all my admiration doing in hand - I can't bear it - drives me nuts - much prefer to do the riding or driving - mind you it may be because you need to run!!!! LOL. Got anything nice coming up over the next couple of weeks??? We have our Easter Clinic next week so slowly trying to get into gear and get everything organised. Got 28 horses coming in for it so all the stabling gotta be sorted and horses turned out etc!!! Bet I forget something really important!!!! Always do!!! LOL

Ellie what you achieve in a day is fabulous, and puts me to shame x

morning all... passion fruit muffins with passion fruit quark topping today :p nice and fresh straight from the oven :D suns coming out now but its very breezy so a day for a long sleeved top and body warmer i think... just about to go out and skip out the 6 stables... fill they hay and water and bring the horses in for feeding :D... the wee one is doing fab and i feel more confident with her going in and out.... yesterday hubby put her mum & sister out first and i though oh goodness as thats usually when she would take off but she led out on a loose rope & stood nicely while i opened and closed the gate then waited till i took the rope off .... she then looked at me as if to say oi ive been good today wheres my mints lol she did get one for standing nicely then trotted off to join her family :D

had fab comments about her from the stallion owner which made me very pleased.... cant wait to see whats under her winter woolies and see what colour she is cos ive no idea at the moment haha

need to finish the grass while its still dry as i think we are due rain at the weekend.... cant remember the last day we had rain here... must have been a couple of weeks ago and even then it was just a little shower...so today is finish the grass cutting... i want to cut in anouther flower bed in the party garden & put some rocks round it & do a bit more fence painting

Ahhh another busy day. Great when the youngsters turn a corner isn't it. We had to move our yearlings yesterday and everyone was dreading it but bless them, they were angelic!! Hope the breeze calms down and you can get back into a t-shirt. Lovely down here again and been making the most of it by driving horses on the green!!!

its very very windy so no chance of a tshirt LOL... it blew my barrow over a few times in the garden grrrr been hacking down a rhodedendron that has loads of dead branches on it before starting the last section of grass .... in for lunch now and im going to try making tuna & smoked mackeral pate to go with my salmon

Recipe pls for pate as might add a bit of variety! x

Yes recipie please x

the pate was ok... tasted a bit like the jars of salmon paste that you spread on sarnies LOL

was a fillet of smoke mackeral, tin of tuna drained, put it all in the food proccessor and chopped it with the blade untill it was fine looking... added pepper, a couple of spoonfulls of quark, and some lemon juice and mixed well
