Ess3X Girly - last chance to loose - Diary

Wow that is impressive, I am back six weeks from hols and only oist the last bit last weekend....eek

Well done on shedding your holiday weight so quickly, Ess3x - you must be really back in the zone!

Keep it up and those last 2lbs will be toast in no time! :D

Well weigh in and all 6lbs from holiday off! Yay!

Well done getting back on track so fast:)

Weigh in 9 - 2.5lbs off - yay me! total of 22.5lbs now.
My Dad started last week - 9lbs off in his first week xx

Wow you are rocking this.....well done.

Hi all
Sorry I have not been on for awhile been really busy with work.
Well weigh in 10 - 2lb off - seems to have steady out now, so happy with that - 2lb off is better than nothing and with 8 weigh in until Xmas means at least another stone fingers crossed.

2lbs a week is pretty much the ideal, be pleased with it! Well done!

Morning all. Well finally able to sit back down at my computer and have a chat - lol.
Been hectic.
Just got off the phone to my Dad and he is at a loss and really struggling so he asked me to get some advice from you guys.
First week he lost 9.bs - 2nd week STS (was really pissed off), this week STS - he is now at a complete loss.

So here is his typical daily menu:

Brekkie - 3 eggs omelette with or without a small handful of grated cheese, with either 3 rashers of bacon or 3 debbie and andrews sausages
Lunch - 200g of salad (made up of lettuce, celery, cucumber and 2 tomatoes) - with either prawns in mayonnaise or some meat like beef (again with a dollop of mayo)
Dinner - Some form of meat (lamb / pork / beef) plus 200g of veggies (only off of list including celeriac chips)
Snacks throughout day - 2/3 babybel
He only drinks black coffee anyway and he has been having at least 1.5ltr of water a day.

The only thing from last week I could think is that maybe too much veggies??? or not enough water.

This week he has got a cold and he has taken strepsils - which I told him I think will have been the cause of it as they are just full of sugar?

Any suggestions for his meal will be very much appreciated xxxxxx

Hi Ess3x - well done on your loss, btw...2lbs is great!:D

Your dad's menu sounds absolutely fine, and I don't see any problems with it - if he's sticking to Induction veggies, I very much doubt he's overdoing it with those.

The no-loss in week two is actually normal after a big loss in week one - many, many people report that they lose nothing in either the second or third week of the diet (for me it was the third week), so that's nothing to be concerned about.

I don't know what's in Strepsils, but if they're sugary then, yes, they could easily be the culprit for stalling him now. If I were him I'd lose the Strepsils (I don't know any sugar-free throat sweets I'm afraid, but other people here might) and carry on eating just as he is and see what happens. If there's still no weight loss in another couple of weeks of clean eating, he can look at tweaking something (maybe going caffeine-free, or something like that).

Hope that helped a bit! :)

I don't think veggies can be the problem, though check he's not having loads of tomato and onion or balsamic dressing.

As Scrummie says a week 2 stall is totally normal and it probably is the sugary sweets that have stalled him this week. Halls do sugar free ones but even they can stall. See how another week goes once he's off those.

Hi, you are doing really well, sorry but I have no advice to give your dad except to agree with what has been said before, a STS is quite normal on the diet for a few weeks.
