Everyday's a SW day :) x

I agree, one take away and a chocolate bar won't harm you in the long run. Giving into cravings now and again stops us from going mad and bingeing on everything in sight! Pleased you enjoyed it. When you don't enjoy it is when you regret it lol x

totally! i kinda feel like cos i started thinking about it, if i had hummed and hawed and ended up not getting it, i would've resented in a sense, the food optimising cos it wouldn't be what i wanted, and i'd get those feelings i used to have all the time - the "i soo want that but i "can't" have it" which makes me want it more but....it's out my system now....well...apart from the star bar but i'm so bunged up now, i feel it would be silly to eat it when i can't enjoy it! :( x

WI done and it was 3 on for me tonight.
expected a gain anyway due to the usual pattern of my sw journey...but that's been the most.
don't think it's been my indian from last night...can't work that quickly and usually, the week after the gain, i have it back off and more but need to make sure it doesn't play catch up next time!

food for today looking like this:

You have the right attitude in that you know it will be back off again next week :) i don't think last night will play catch ups for next Mondays weigh in, it'll be long gone by then! Xx

Hey Hun

Those 3lbs will be gone in no time! I'm sure you'll be reporting better news next week. Loving your attitude towards it all.

I'm going to attempt to make the chickpea Dahl loaf again this week- you're the Dahl expert! Can you give me an idiots guide to cooking it so it doesn't disintegrate into a million pieces?!

Xx

lol...
well...having made this every monday since i started this in january!...i've recently been able to get mine out the dishes with the bottoms (or most of it) in tact....yay from me but i think the secret is that i've left them out for a while to cool before taking them out?
1st time i was just doing other stuff but been doing that since and it's been a lot better.

i cook mine at gas mark 5....for ages....in fact, i probably overcook mine to be honest but if the top's not hard (not burnt! lol) then i wont take them out cos they're always moist inside anyway. (i always push mine down with a spoon or something and see how much it stays together)
i also turn the tray the opposite way everytime i'm checking them too

what kind of dish are you cooking it in? i struggle getting them out my muffin tin and use quiche/flan type dishes so dunno if that helps?
i need to start looking at the time i'm cooking them for to be able to say exactly how long they're in for....

hope this helps...let me know how you get on x

I've got a loaf tin I was going to use. So leve it in the tin until its cool? Fingers crossed! X

yep...plenty fry light. if you're filling the tin it'll take longer.
i did that the 1st time and it took forever...i do 2 smaller, shallow ones now out of the mixture and cut them into lots of little squares.
you could try it with half the mixture so it's not as deep? bit of a palava but all trial and error i guess x

I have two circular cake tins- thinner and bigger surface area so could try them?

mine are just wee flan/quiche dishes...a rectangle one and an oval one and i half the mixture.
you might be better with something like that rather than a big loaf tin....i did that the 1st time and according to the recipe it said 20 mins...yeah...an hr and 20 mins! pmsl

good luck! when you making it?x
