bacon, sausages, poached egg & plum tomatoes, 1 slice wm bread

Lunch:
burger king kids meal lol (grilled chicken strips, apple and diet coke)

pork chops, mushrooms, onion and plum tomatoes
small bowl of fruit salad

had a yummy food day today, woke up 1st thing super hungry so had the fruit, yog & 1/2 my HEb then went back to bed lol, woke and had the cooked breakfast which was yummy!

WI for me tomorrow and not sure what to expect after last week's surprise gain! this is the 3rd full week of being 100% on plan and i REALLY want to see some results before i get disheartened and give up....fingers crossed...will report back tomorrow and hopefully it won't be a stroppy post 1st thing like last monday's! lol

hi guys...
2lb off for me this morning - kinda hoped it would be more but its off and not on so can't complain :)

i think i need to stop focusing so much on the numbers cos i never had any expectations before, yet since xmas, i'm totally chasing a loss!
i need to remind myself that the weight i was on 30th dec was the new starting weight and stop dwelling on before...i guess i just expected "quick on, quick off" and now, just because i'm being 100%, i'm looking for the results and getting disappointed when i don't see them.

NSV.....spent most of my time off over xmas and new year in a onesie or oversized p.j's and this morning, i caught a glimpse of myself with my housecoat on and my white legs (lol) and was a bit like...oooh! had to do a double take but really noticed a difference then noticed how much my dressing gown was tied in

just gonna keep at it...i've spent some time earlier reading back on the first few pages of this diary cos i wanted to see what i was eating and what the losses were, if i was using more or less syns and to be honest, there hasn't really been much change.

i know i'm not doing anything wrong, i try to mix it up as much as i can (although breakfasts and snacks are a bit samey...which i don't mind most of the time cos i like them, it's handy and i don't spend my time being hungry!)

so from today, i'm gonna keep telling myself that so far in 2014, i've lost 5lbs...but i still have the green eye'd monster when people have blow outs or only have a few days on plan but lose like 3 and 5lbs!grrr...hehe

anyway...food today was a bit picky until dinner time, you all know a monday is when i do my cooking so i kinda had a bite of this and that as i was doing that, preparing everything etc

DAY - EE

Breakfast:
small bowl of rice with blueberries and a slice of 1/2 syn roulade

Lunch
bite of dahl loaf, few gulps of home made soup (carrot, onion & lentil) and some cottage cheese rolled up in ham

Snack:
alpen light bar

Dinner:
sticky chicken with carrot, spring onion and basmati rice
fruit salad

HEb:alpen light/hifi light

HEa: nothing so far (cheddar nibbles if anything before bed - 16g)

Syns:
honey - 1
special k crisps - 4.5
mini milky bar - 3.5

Yey, well done on getting the loss. I know you wanted more, but it's great to see SW working for you again. I completely understand your 'chasing the loss' mentality, I'm sooo desperate to get into the stone below, was gutted with my 0.5lbs last week. Think I need to just try and enjoy the journey a bit more to take some pressure off myself. 2lbs is great though and like you say, 5lbs down in 2014 so far! It will come off, we just need to stick at it.

That sticky chicken looks amazing, I've not long since eaten but seriously could just polish that off! lol x

i didnt have enough honey (don't really like it so only bought the teeny wee jar) so i could only 2 tbsp of the soy sauce and balsamic vinegar plus the honey. was lovely though and i'll def get a bigger jar to do it properly with 3 tbsp of each.
it was so easy and a hit with my OH which is a bonus!

i know it's not a lot compared to some people's losses and i know that i'll be mumping my gums about something next week again lol, but if i could just get some of the 3 and 4.5lbs i had every now and then like before....there i go back to that "before" bit i said i need to avoid! grrr hehe

we need to look at it long term i suppose...and at the end of the day we're eating and losing weight, not starving ourself to see results etc....and in the long run, it's surely more manageable?

it's def been a bit harder after a month of having this or that on leading up to xmas...but we'll have that every year (if we want to) so it needs to be realistic!

i swear if i did some exercise, i could eat the way i liked...my OH is so thin, he's on his feet all day every day and eats utter sh1te - no joke! but i often think...even though i'm over weight, i bet i'm healthier inside cos i don't snack on biscuits and chocolate the way he does, or live on coffees to stay awake with 2 sugars in each time!
i'm jealous sometimes when we sit down and he tackles a huge bar of chocolate (and was jealous today when he ate a roll on square sausage then 2 belgian buns!) but i know i've not been blessed with the genes i sooooo long for haha

i hope you get the result you want tomorrow....and i know it's easier said than done but try take whatever loss you have as a positive...cos there may be a time where it slows down/goes awol for no reason.....so make the most of it ;)

i know you'll deal with whatever the result is....you're doing great and have a really good out look on things :D xx

not had my 2nd HE yet and not sure if i will...feeling kinda bloated (having bother at the loo??? :( TMI?hehe) but if i fancy something later and use them, will update. don't want to use them just for the sake of it

have pencilled in the malteser bunny and crisps to have later on but still full after dinner so will see how i go with those too x

sorry i've been a bit quiet over the weekend...didn't have the best of days on friday but after a good cry to my mammy, and a talk with my OH....i'm feeling a bit better.
not been 100% on plan fri or sat - both days started off well but i'll leave it there lol.
today though, has been 100% :D

DAY - RED

well...a wee lb on for me this morning when i weighed in - after an iffy fri and saturday, i was expecting it and to be honest...i've had more on when i've had 7 days 100% ON plan so i'm totally fine with it and will get that back off soon ;)
having had indian takeaway on saturday night and * week due tomorrow, it could have been worse...maybe my red day yesterday helped with bloat? but anyway, i'm cool with it - it's SOOOO much easier to take a gain on the chin when it's justified!

food for today looking like this (sorry, no pics today :( )

DAY - GREEN

Breakfast:
magic porridge "muffins" and a yog
(this was 35g oats soaked overnight in yog, added 2 eggs (like you would to make the pancakes) and baked them in the oven - they we okay, got some left which i thought might be handy for a quick bite in the mornings? 1 syn each or the whole mixture would be HEb)

Lunch:
dahl loaf, homemade carrot, lentil and onion soup & a pkt of popcorn

Dinner:
Wrap pizza topped with onion, pepper and mushroom and some sw chips

HEb's:
35g oats
bfree wrap

HEa's:
30g cheddar

Sure you'll get it off this week, tbh it's probably pre * week water weight if you're anything like me. * week has just started for me so not looking forward to tomorrows WI at all, hoping for the best, preparing for the worst, lol! x

i usually have my (unjustified, but patterned) gain 2 weeks after * week...so this gain is pretty much down to the weekend...but i can accept that no probs ;)

great news on your wedding and honeymoon...i read through your diary quickly on my phone earlier...it will be fab! you must buzzing! :D

quorn chilli with peppers, onion, mushrooms, chopped tomato, chilli kidney beans and some basmati rice
left over fruit salad

HEB's:
35g oats
hifi bar

HEa's:
cheese from mac and cheese (prob 10-20g)
cheddar nibbles - 16g

Thanks hun, amazingly it was! I'm such a terrible judge of my weight loss, was seriously considering skipping WI this week as didn't feel like I could face a gain!:rolleyes:

I had the almost passing out thing earlier in group, think it was a combination of stomach cramps and a really hot room. Sorry to hear you have horrible * weeks too, glad its not all the time at least. I've found mine have improved a lot since losing weight.
 
when i was really overweight years ago, they were so much worse pain wise, duration etc and never knew when they'd come...but when i lost a lot of weight, that's when they started to come bang on 4 weeks but also when i started having the sickness, sugar levels dropping so feeling faint stuff.

fun and games eh!

i was also thinking of skipping WI yesterday after a couple of days off plan...but glad i went cos 1lb on is nothing and hey...i've had more for behaving myself! lol

considering weighing myself on fri morning to give me a total loss for the month...and then maybe trying not to weigh every week. i think it would be a better reflection?
i think i'm strict enough not to be off plan 3 out of 4 weeks then hope for a result....but i know it might be a slippy slope?

also thought about changing WI day to a friday but i'm worried i'd have the weekends off and say aww well, i still have 5 days to pull it back!

not sure yet...a monday morning is a good day for me to do it...but if i could manage every 2 or 4 weeks, i might not have the same up and down feelings that we get when our bodies don't play along lol!

not sure what to do...will decide on friday i think...if i have time to WI before work i'll go...and if not, i'll just go monday again.
if i don't like the result on fri, i'll end up changing my mind pmsl!x
 
If I could weigh in monthly or something without letting it take me off track I honestly would. Those weekly fluctuations can be horrible. I'd just be careful you dont find yourself slipping back into bad habbits, i know i need the accountabiluty of a weekly wi to keep me on track x
