If I could weigh in monthly or something without letting it take me off track I honestly would. Those weekly fluctuations can be horrible. I'd just be careful you dont find yourself slipping back into bad habbits, i know i need the accountabiluty of a weekly wi to keep me on track x

i know...i totally agree and that's what's making me wary...BUT, i am generally quite good at sticking to plan and if i could do that, and keep up what i have been doing, i think it would be nice to just have (what should be) a loss every WI...and avoid those un-necessary mind games?
dunno how realistic it is for me...i would either be ok, want to have a wee peek but be good...OR i'd risk thinking, oh it's ok, i won't see the results of x,y,z until whatever date...and that's when it could be dodgy lol

never bloody ending saga this weight loss sometimes eh lol x
 
Haha, yep I know what you mean. I guess you can give it a try and see how it goes. If you find yourself getting complacent then just switch back to the weekly wi's. You've been really motivated since leaving group so theres no reason you can't do it xc
 
DAY - GREEN

Breakfast:
fruit salad and a porridge muffin before work
magic porridge, berries and chopped banana when i was there

Snack:
homemade soup & a boiled egg

Lunch:
BNS & falafel salad

Dinner:
quorn chilli pasta bake (only 1 more portion left which is lunch tomorrow...thank god - 3 days in a row lol)

HEb's:
orange hifi bar
35g oats

HEa's:
30g cheddar

Syns:
muffin - 1
crisps - 5.5
mini malteser bunny - 3

9.5 for the day
 
DAY - GREEN

Breakfast:
rice pudding, berries, banana and yog
boiled egg

Snack:
homemade soup and small pot of magic porridge

Lunch:
leftover quorn chilli pasta

Dinner:
quorn burger on wm roll with lettuce, tomato and cheese, sw chips and pickles
fruit salad

HEb's:
wm roll
17.5g oats/hifi light

HEa's:
30g cheese

Syns:
ketchup - 2
hoops and crosses - 4.5
2 celebrations - 4

fruit salad and a boiled egg 1st thing
rice pudding, berries, ban and yog at work

Snack:
dahl loaf and a tangerine

Lunch:
cheese and pickle sandwich
popcorn

Dinner:
quorn peppered steak, roasties with garlic and herb chip sprinkle, cottage cheese and veg pack
(loved this dinner...bloody delicious lol)

HEb's:
60g wm bread
hifi bar

HEa's:
30g cheddar

Syns:
pickle - 0.5
chip sprinkle - 0.5
popcorn - 2.5
funsize crunchie - 4
space raiders - 3

so...i weighed myself this morning and in the month of January, i've lost a total of 5lbs :)

as mentioned before, i'm not sure whether to try and stop weighing every week...not sure what i'm gonna do.
5lbs for the month is a wee bit less than what i'd hoped...but it's a good weekly average and considering i've eaten good food every day, had goodies every day and even had a couple of days off plan last week...it's a good loss.

if i weigh every month, it will be a better reflection and for me, stop the feelings i've started getting when there are unjustified gains.
i know our bodies fluctuate all the time but it can be disheartening and i know if i can keep doing what i'm doing, and behaved myself, i'd hopefully be seeing a loss every time....i'd be miffed though, if, after a month, it was like 1lb loss or something lol.

as i said, i'm not sure...i'm wary that i'll subconsciously think "oh well, not weighing in for another week" or so...so i'll be careful if this is what i decide.

to be honest...i'll end up wanting a peek at the scales but for now, it's a 5lb loss this month....i need another 7 to get the the lowest weight that i was at last year...no looking back tho - jan was a fresh start so i'll take the loss and embrace the next one :)

weetabix and some fruit salad with the syn free strawberry greek yog from aldi (wasn't bad...still prefer activia 0%)

Lunch:
wm roll with 2 BGTY sausages and a poached egg

Dinner:
chicken breast chunks, seafood sticks, cubed HEa cheese and some pickles
left over fruit salad

HEb's:
wm roll
2 weetabix

HEa's:
cheddar cheese
milk

Syns:
sausages - 1
brown sauce - 1.5
mini milky bar - 3.5
hoops and crosses - 4.5

small bowl of fruit and yog
cottage cheese and bean cakes

Lunch:
mac and cheese. added peppers and onion to it along with the usual spring onions and double the amount of tomatoes...was yummy!

Dinner:
quorn burger, wm bread, sw chips, lettuce and cheese
fruit salad

HEb's:
60g wm bread
2 x alpen light

HEa's:
20g cheddar x 2

Syns:
sauce - 0.5
crisps- 5.5
tunnocks teacake- 5

well...today was the 1st monday in ages i've not weighed...really gonna try hard to just keep doing what i'm doing and weigh in at the end of feb.
was weird not going today but i weighed on fri and took that weight as my total loss for the month of january.
not sure if i'll manage to wait the whole month lol, but going to try :)

good luck with not weighing im thinking of doing sw at home and already im thinking of going out for meals.

lol at you thinking of going out...it's def tempting but not a road i want to go down or i'll end up sabotaging everything!

i have a wedding in a few weeks so my plan is that it will be pretty much the only time off plan this month BUT if i weigh at the end of the month, surely i'd still see a loss rather than losing the week before then having a big gain after the wedding due to fluid etc...i'd like to try it for a better way of thinking/feeling about things cos i constantly chase the numbers and if i can do it...then it would really avoid the motivation followed by deflation when the scales are all over the place!

that's the plan anyway...not saying it'll go that way for sure...but i'd like to try cos i do think it would be a better reflection?

hope all is well at your end chick...i don't always post but i'm always lurking about the diaries in the background lol ;) x

Totally know where you're coming from with this. I've found since the new year I've been chasing losses more than usual and it's been sooo disappointing some weeks. Then I come out with a big loss when I finally chill out about everything! Just goes to show taking each day as it comes is the way to go.
