Well tony has been diagnosed diabetic as of yesterday the nurse had her suspicions last week but it was actually confirmed yesterday so I said to tony we'll do this healthy eating and exercise lark together cause we could both do with revamping our lifestyles to become a bit healthier especially for our little girls. He also has high cholesterol which we need to get down an doc said to go easy on the butter oils etc. I don't eat butter and never cook with oil only fry light always have done so not too many changes just gotta learn all these new things for the sake of all our health!!
Anyhow as a result knowing I have a "buddy" I have a renewed sense of optimism and I've lost 0.5lb of the 4 I put on.
I know people don't agree with daily weighing but I've always done it and I think I'll keep it up :)
Xx

Ive always been a daily weigher.... keeps me on the straight and narrow x

when I was seeing a cardiolgist (after the heart damage) he was taking bloods regularly and found I had high cholesterol and said that diet has little to do with it - its partly genetic - when he know what I was eating he told me that no diet changes could possibly make a difference - so unless your dh is eating pies pasties etc at work and you dont know of it - he could well need medication regardless - so dont be disappoionted if all your efforts turn out to be fruitless - he will overall become healthier and it will help his diabetes
high protein is what helped my dad - and following the gi diet as that means less spikes in sugar load - hth
H xx

Gosh h my dh has a crap diet when he's not at home and when he is he snacks a lot so complete dietary overhaul is needed lol x

good luck with that - exercise is the best for reducing cholesterol -my Dh has a crap diet but he cycles to work and back everyday and works standing up and walking around - hence he never puts on a pound and actually has muscles :):)

I agree, daily weighing really helps me too - although I've not been doing it much recently... I'll only weigh myself in the morning before I've eaten (ridiculous I know!!) and I keep forgetting because babyB gets me up so early!!

Well done losing!!! Xx
