First ever VLCD

agree with Amymarie's advice Dibbles - no time like the present - and if you cut the carbs down now it won't be so harsh on your first few days of the vlcd (wish I'd done that!)

Can't do your 100% challenge Amymarie as I have 2 planned breaks (meal 18th - birthday 1st Feb, London 2nd Feb (might be on plan this day tho, not sure)) but I'm considering not weighing until you lot do at the end of the 88 days. I was going to weigh this morning but didn't - I agree with how cool it would be to see the scales go down by STONES instead of lbs. I also think this would be a good way to get back on track after my planned days off, because if I weigh and they haven't done too much damage I might be tempted to keep cheating.

Might get hubby to put scales in loft as he's going up there today anyway hmmmm *ponders*
 
Sleeping lighter but better quality!! I'm waking up twice on average and struggling to get back off a good action film on sky plus and I'm off again lol ). Well done on day 4


Once I'm gone, I'm gone, just takes a while getting there! Although I do keep waking up an hour before my alarm xx


made lentil and carrot soup yesterday so will be eating that today. Got lettuce in the fridge too, so that is to be eaten. Yes, low carbing!

I think you should! I didn't get back on plan after I went to my friends in Southampton where I had McD's and Domino's (even though I took my packs with me!!) because when I got back I'd only put on a pound. I lost the pound then started cheating again and I stayed the same for ages, making me cheat even more, then all of a sudden.. BOOM! 9lbs gain!

Thats why I m doing it this way xx
 
I'm agreeing with the low carbs per diet. I did and have had fewer side effects over all. Also up your water for a few days before. It helps.
Oh and a couple of pain killers in the morning even if you haven't got a headache, I feel it help prevent them. I also do it if I'm going into a room with bad lighting!!

That's what I'm afraid will happen....yes you're right, I'm not going to weigh until you lot do then we can all have a virtual party when we see how well we've done :)
 
We're all like Slim and Save guru's now! I think we should get some form of commission haha.

To be honest Lou, I think it's only me that's not weighing so I'm glad I've finally got someone to do it with me! I think not weighing makes you panic that you're gonna have a gain so you stick better. Does with me anyway!

Woo its day 5!! Gonna have a strawberry shake for brekkie the off to work at 11.30. Feeling good again today, think ketosis is well and truly here. Hope everyone has a fab day!

Just put in 'slim and save and sugar free jellies' into google and a thread came up from here and they are allowed! Yippee!!!!

sugar free jelly as in the powder you mix with water. Its just a regular jelly like the one you get with jelly and ice cream.
 
Still awake, grr! Just remembered I forgot to take my "before challenge" photo. Best do it tomorrow. Not sure whether to post it or wait until the end (now only 83 days away) and post both. Looking forward to seeing how much I lose and what size I'll be! Hopefully I'll be fitting not my gorgeous Aqua dress that I bought months ago!

Feeling the start to week 2 blah!! But I've had a good read through so I think I'm positively motivated for this week. I tell you it's not a food issue it's a body issue, it just doesn't seem to like the adjustment!!! Good luck today ;)

Glad you managed to get yourself feeling better! I know what you mean about the body not liking adjustments, mine seems to be gargling from all sort of places that I didn't even know should be able to do that haha xx

It's easy at home but find it really difficult to move from my desk when I'm working.

Morning gorge!

Its been like constant but to be fair it's not a hard job, just feel like I'm never not there haha. Weekend I've got loads planned, I'm redecorating the front room, new floor, new suite and everything so I'll be busy but I'd rather it be like that then sitting around watching Jezza!!

Congrats on 10lbs, that's amazing!! Told you it would be more this morning, you better be proud of yourself! I'm not weighing until Easter so I won't know how much I've lost in my first week. Weighing for me gets me down, like you felt yesterday but worse, I'm not putting myself through it. I'm just getting on then seeing the results after my 88 days of 100%. That way I can focus more on seeing the physical changes too, be happy with dropping dress sizes instead of flapping over a couple of pounds. I'm finding it really easy at the min, we'll just see how I get on!!
