It helps having a new bike - it will wear off, then I will retreat to my nice warm gym ;)
Gotta start training doing the Manchester to Blackpool ride again this year (64 miles) shortly after it is a 100 mile ride........

Your the brave one then! That's a long old way, the calorie burn must be huge!

Where's the 100 miles from and to? Do you have a road bike?

No I'm not a lover of riding on Tarmac prefer off road really. Had a kona cindercone for years which I have just sold, essentially a really light mountain bike. Just got a specialised jett which is more of a cross country style set up, bigger wheels meaning it is a smoother ride and easier to cover distances. Really impressed with it, feels totally different! Feels quite fast - will see if I'm still impressed after a good long ride!

See Boyf has a mountain bike and a road bike and I have a Girly town bike!! :) I think I need to invest in a road bike, Boyf is adamant that I need one or at least borrow his mountain bike when we go out together as he zooms along and I can't get over 14mph on mine...

Your new one looks really good, hope it treats you well today. Decided not to ride today, walking to town instead x

You should use his mountain bike it makes all the difference!
 
Sunday - first epic ride of the year!

Whlml barm (B1 & 1.5 syns)
Tesco LC sausages (1.5)
Milk in coffees (A1)

Whilst on ride was knackered, no bananas in local shops didn't know what to get, ended up with Fredo (5) lucozade sport (6) didn't drink it all
Needed the energy boost from the lucozade but was a bit gutted using syns on it - they didn't have the light one!

Ww pitta (B2) SW burgers, bacon, cheddar (A2)
BNS spicy wedges

Caramel egg (9)
Velvet crunch (4)

Syns - 27, A - 2, B - 2
****1679 calories burned****

Lesson learnt next time will take SW suitable food when I'm going for a big ride. Also going to get hold of some of the light lucozade for next time. Overall in terms of calories was still a massive loss but would have been better to keep within daily syns
 
Oh Lordy I'm shattered just reading about you cycling 32 miles! How long did that take you? Your snack choice wasn't bad considering!

How was dinner? I so need me some burgers this week xx
 
Monday - yuck!

Ww pitta (B1) bacon, fry light egg

Felt fine in the morning then stated to feel sick as soon as I got to work, thought I would try some roasted veg soup to kill or cure - should have eaten it sooner as only five minutes after was sick!

After an hours kip I'm feeling better so just attempted ww pitta (B2) and fry light eggs
Again hoping will either make me ill or feel better, we will see!

Felt crap again this morning so off again today, got a cracking headache! Hopefully should resume born service tomorrow then can go the gym!
