Well, put in a search on Google for how long I should bring Stringer on a walk for and found this.. Thought some of you might find it interesting too.. Seen as we all want what's best for our puppies :)

Depends on the breed, ALL DOGS SHOULD BE WALKS EVERY DAY regardless of breed. DON'T think because there small they need less exercise. Often the medium size dogs need more exercise then the larger breeds.

REMEMBER this is based on dogs 18month old+ because it when there joints are physically mature to put up with hard intense running and long walks.

Examples
Border Collies & Aussie Shepherd, Siberian Husky, Alaskan Malamute, 4km daily walks-at least 2 walks and loads of mental stimulation in a secured fenced in yard.

BEAGLES=4km daily walks

German Shepherd, Belgian Shepherd=5KM daily walks and LOADS of mental stimulation

Minature Pinscher/Manchester Terrier, Jack Russell Terrier, Fox Terriers, Labrador Retriever, Scotch Collie, Golden Retriever and Newfoundlands, Boston Terriers=Minimum of 30mintues daily, ideally twice daily.

Low energy dogs
Pug, English Bulldog, French Bulldog, Maltese, Shih Tzu

Good info to share..when I hear people say bout their dogs being naughty and chewing things up etc it's because they aren't walked enough or boredom!Dylan has one less walk then Ruby and both she and Lola go off lead and get played with indoors(Dylan too) good idea to join the GS site :0)

As to old age it depends on the breed,Wikipedia is good if you put in the breed of dog it comes up with plenty of information!
All I know is, in a year I've to be walking 5KM per day!!!!!!!

Lol ;0) play ball and let him run around if you are short on time!
Ah between us both we'll get it done.. its only fair..
And sure, we've a year to build up to doing that much :)

Morning Honey xxx

Good morning darling.. How are you?

Yea true, and if it's a couple of walks it breaks it up nicely :0)
Well my plan will be to bring him on a quick walk round the block before work.. (10-15mins) Then the 5km in the evening after we've had dinner..
Then weekends we can bring him off to the beach or the mountains etc and let him run off any excess energy he might have.. But we'll see how he is when he's older.. He may need more as 5KM per day is the minimum... :)
But that's all way off yet... :)

Yea you will get a pattern what works best for you.Lola has a quick walk in the morning.play and walk in the afternoon then the same in the evening then quick walk before bed.Ruby and Dylan have the same but Dylan doesn't do the afternoon walk.

im good thank you! how are you? getting a little nervous about our apartment though :( its supposed to be signed off on Friday for the funds to be released from Natwest BUT the flooring guy went in about 8 days ago and said our apartment is fine like just a few little bits to finish but the communal areas have "alot of work to be done" steve then saw it last week and the site manager .... yes the SITE MANAGER was like "so when are you getting the keys?" errrrr WTF!!! shambles!! Steve said there wasnt any floor, lighting and wires were hanging out of the walls in the communal areas!!!

im keeping my fingers crossed!! xxx

Yea exactly.. We'll work out a routine.. Maybe it'll be Jono brings him out while I'm getting dinner ready.. or it'll be a short walk when I get in and his long walk with both of us later on in the evening.. Who knows.. :D Ooh the options h aha

Well done,good day :0)
Thank you.. Really should have added some veg but only thought about it after I'd sat down to eat.. And desides.. I already only ate some of my dinner so with veg i'd have eaten even less.. I was STUFFED after!!
My thing is when I exercise, unlike others, I get full and not in humour of eating...
