Friday couldn't come soon enough :(

Hi all. I am on day 3 and I have been checking the scales too. I don't think I am in ketosis but the scales are going down which is great but makes sense when consuming less than 500 cals a day!! I have incorporated a gym session and been fine! I drank a lot more water in the gym than I normally would. Also managed a couple climbs at the climbing wall - not great - but was sweating like mad and too tired. I was thinking of maybe having the allowed food (chicken) on the days I go to the gym perhaps if really feel I need something. It's been great reading everyone's post. Hope every one has a good day xoxo

hi everyone
hope your weekends are going well

been out for a nice gentle walk myself and then off for a black coffee, can t do the fresh without a sweetener but im just going to take it on the chin as i know its a bit of a deviation. coffee stops are one of my lifes little pleasures and one sweetener per few days should hopefully not do too much damage. finding it easier when at work to keep my mind off food but not hungry so boredom the main factor
char keep going it ll be so worth it.

starting over
your doing really well hope you get ex results, when is your wedding?

jx

Hi Skydragon - I have 6 weeks! I should have started sooner but kept gaining weight and enjoying too much food so put on a lot of weight! Hence turning to cambridge. I doubt the odd sweetener will do too much harm as isn't there sweetener in the shakes?

its a good diet if you have a short time and need results asap. ideal if say your going to be the star of the show, congrats hope you have a fantastic day im on day 5 and have watched the pounds drop off this week know that 1st week is the biggy but boy does it help to motivate. tried on a few bits of clothing its amazing what even a little bit less of you makes my jeans no longer look like im trying to conceal a 3 tier wedding cake down my front, think there s still a victoria sponge in there :p i ll be working on that in due course.

so are you getting into the excited /nervous stage yet
jx

Excited at this stage and yes it is very motivating. I have just ordered some ketostix from amazon but have a sneaky feeling it has begun as have a wierd taste in mouth although this could just be from lack of food. My week 1 weigh in is on Monday so it's only a 5 day week for my first week. I have just sole sourced with the sachets and water although thinking may add some chicken in to the mix tonight - will try not to. Hah re the wedding cake and victoria sponge - that made me smile!

Hellos

So it was my week 5 weigh in yesterday and I lost 4.6 lbs.
So the weight loss until now is 22.8 Lbs.
It's working the CD diet is for sure working I just hope to continue it until my target weight.

Weekdays go by in a breeze with the diet since I am at work and don't think/see/smell food so much.
It's the weekends that are hard. Family meals and especially after the Sunday weigh in and I see progress makes me so happy that I decide to treat myself a little ( 10 pieces of potato chips etc) which is not good
Anyone else suffering with the same or anyone who has over come it would love to hear you out.

PS: Charr way to go keep it up girl.

PS: Skydragon how are the headaches?

I really find weekends difficult as well. It's when we have social events and given the amazing summer we have been having that means almost weekly barbeques....surrounded by food that smells and you know it tastes so good!!! I regularly give in and have a little bit of meat which I then feel guilty about afterwards. I have only really broken the diet on one occassion at the was again when I was surrounded by food and then it was carbs I had so just thought "sod it" and had lots of them....but I managed to go back on the diet the day after which was good

I have a really well defined routine during the week...breakfast when I get to work....second shake between 1 and 2:30ish....third when I get home between 5 and 6:30...then evening meal at some point later on...and if there are any evening events it's usually only drink based and I can deal with just having water...

Friday evenings I see my consultant and walk the 3 miles home (with my wife depending on when she finished work and doesnt have plans with her work friends) and have some food when I get in....then....it's the weekend!!!!

I hate weekends at the moment!

hi there first off char that is fantastic you go girlx

hey swats thanks the headaches have gone and feeling much better, managed to stick to the diet so was pleased. hope your keeping wellx

on the weekend front im finding it pretty tough too, when your at work your mind is occupied and as your not starving it contents itself with jobs to be done. however on the weekend, i found i was pretty food obsessed.it is def a time that i would normally treat myself ( i say treat i mean gorge) with food so think for me the key is to do as much as i possibly can. the benefit not only will we be slimmer, we ll be more organised too. saturday was such a long day that i took steps to have a better sunday i got up later did plenty of jobs id been meaning to do. went out for walks and off to cafes for black coffee wasn t tempted when out was more tempted at home. did have the little devil sitting on my shoulder whining for food. spent alot of time asking myself was i truly hungry or just bored? mainly bored. after the weekend which was days 5 /6 im def going to be more proactive with my time next weekend so i don t fall into the trap

I'm now at work, and craving KFC! (I work at KFC) I've been really good though I haven't touched it only to serve to somebody else, secretly thinking 'I hope you choke on it' haha! I'm so bad! I've just had my shake and a bottle of water and I'm now feeling slightly better! Once I hit ketosis it's just gonna be onwards and upwards hopefully!'yay me!

Hello,

Mean to say this but trust me I am so glad to have company.
Make me feel like a little better cause its a normal thing to crave food when it's all around you.
So how do you think we could cope with this.
Planned cheats is one idea that come to mind so you are mindful of what you are going to eat and not end up devouring everything in sight.
This is my plan for this weekend.
Lets see how this goes.

Hey Charr,

You work at KFC?, got to give it to girl you are so much stronger than us.
Being surrounded with food the whole day, the total unhealthy but extremely tasty food.
If you are managing to stick to CD even with a job that revolves around food, kudos girl

You are really inspiring me

Hey Skydragon,

I am doing well thanks for asking. The headaches Seem to be a bit persistent and almost always start once I reach work lol, must be the faulty air conditioning.
I am going to try what you did, keep my weekends busy and not around food.
Will let you know how it goes
How did your weigh in go?

It was the same for me too, yesterday was my 4th day and It was really difficult! I was at work and kept thinking oh ill just have something little and restart tomorrow but I knew I would be mortified about seeing the results the next morning! Plus I've been reading all these things people keep writing on here like 'you are in control of your self, the reason you are like this is because you've let yourself indulge!' I am in charge of my own body and I will get through this! Good luck! xxxx

Ladies I found exactly the same day 4 was the hardest And actually day 4 of every week I have a mental wobble! Don't know why maybe bc it's the middle day between wis!

Good luck and well done! C

Hello People,

It's been quite a while, how is everyone doing with the CD. Any new weigh ins. Any struggles or victories you want to share?

My wife and I have agreed that we need to have a break meal or something once a month in order to keep up our resolve so hopefully we will be able to maintain some sort of restraint on those occassions. The next one is 3 weeks and one day away ...but it's not like I'm counting down or anything...!!

It's been 2 weeks since my last diet break but managed to pull it back after that one meal and get back into it but looking back I have no idea how I managed that. Maybe it was an out of body experience for those following few days!

Today is a Friday and although I look forward to it on some level as it's my weigh in I also dread it because it used to be the take-away night and even 7 weeks in I still haven't mentally broken that want for one...

I wish time would just hurry up and fast forward 3 weeks!!!
