I'm in!

And I went swimming again this morning. Only 40 lengths, but the pool was horribly full, and I hate it like that.

And.... last night I booked my holiday. Woo hoo! 47 sleeps, then I go on a hairy plane!

Trouble is, it means I need to up my weekly average to get to the Christmas target, to allow for a STS week when I'm away. I'm not even going to consider the possibility that it could be any worse than that. Eternal optimist, me!

47 sleeps? Why that would allow for a 30 day shrek!

:D

Pesty, what a ridiculously cute child!!! GIEF!

I no!!! Wheneva i see him i want to sneak him out the house and keep him lol - until he cries that is then my sis can have him back HAHA.

Well done on the swim again Sarah!! My wkends getting more and more full!! I WILL GO TO THE GYM ON SUNDAY!!! lol xx

I can safely say that I will be a shrekker MLM. Might have to start this after my hols now though. As I go away on 13th October and back on the 20th. But I will be getting straight back to my slim regime on the 21st, so will that be ok?

Everyone has gone home from work :( and am sitting in office on my tod, forgot my fob so can't get around the building and am dying to go to the loo, lol.. So might have to finish early and go straight to the gym from here. No one will know anyway, no one coming back till Monday, lol.

Right off to finish some NVQ work and then to the gym. xx

Ok. I won't judge it without trying it.

Will someone explain this 30 day shrek for me?

EF- whenever you want to do it is fine- as long as you promise faithfully not to be put off by any whining we may do in the challenge thread!

Sarah, I detailed the first day of it up in the teams part of the Sw board- it's basically 3 circuits of strength, cardio and abs work- 3 minutes 2 minutes and 1 minute - takes about 20 mins to complete and is a challenge of a workout. You start on level 1 for 10 days, then level 2 for 10, then level 3. It's pretty intense.

Sounds pretty scary. I'll have a look at it tonight, and see what I think. I'm not promising anything - but anything that will improve this lumpen body in time for a) Lucy's wedding (36 sleeps) and b) Fuerteventura (47 sleeps) seems like a pretty good idea from where I'm standing.

Evenin All

Thanks Pesty for the Invite :D gosh I feel all special now lol :p

Well last nights WI was a bit of a let down.... a miserable pathetic 0.5 lb :sigh: dont you just hate that when you've been super focussed all week:mad: BUT thinking with my 'sensible head on' I know that the thing ive not done is drink enough....OH has even commented this week (I need to drink a fair bit with these seizure meds as they can cause kidney stones so hes always watching me and filling my glass up lol)

hey ho.....ive given myself a talking to and a kick up the bum!....actually do you know how hard that is to do while on crutches :D

Quick question.....In asda at the cold meat counter - they do turkey slices, one is buttered, one is plain 'so turkey breast' OH brought some home for me, he said they said it was plain not buttered.....would this be free?? I know the asda rotisserie chicken isnt but how about cold meats?

Corrie is calling off to get my fix xx

Argh!!!

I love my MIL but she has started inviting us over for tea recently and whilst she is doing great herself at losing weight, she doesn't really get "syn" values and stuff and so she tries to cook stuff that she thinks is healthy - but in SW terms is so not.

So let's just say that today was a bit of a non SW one. Exhibit A- main course - chicken stuffed with pate, wrapped in streaky bacon, with fried onions mushrooms peppers and dried apricots, basmati rice and some sort of sauce over the top.

Dessert - muller lite and fruit, with a big portion of jelly, followed by cadbury chocolate fingers, and as by then I had totally given up even trying - a cherry bakewell.

Not even going to attempt to add the syns up and refuse to call it a flexisyn day. Don't get me wrong - it was delicious, but I am just going to write that meal off and have a syn free weekend to compensate.

She's nearly 80 and had gone to so much trouble - how can I possibly refuse when she's been so kind!! More to the point why would I even want to!

Situations like this are really tough, my nan is the same. She assures everyone that she knows exactly what I can eat, but often misreads labels and buys things with milk, or eggs or meat in them. She always seems so pleased that she knows what I can have that I can't bear to tell her otherwise. I only ever say something if it's being cooked at hers and I'll have to eat it, any foods I get sent home with that I can't eat, I give to friends.

Since starting SW things have become even harder. The first thing I said was 'please don't buy me full fat hummus and white bread', it's pretty much what I get sent home with now. I've tried to explain the 'no oil' thing and told her that salads that come with dressings are no good, but she still buys them because salads and olive oil are 'healthy' foods. Although I never say too much about it, I've said things like 'oh just one bean burger please, I'm not very hungry' or 'could I just have the fruit for dessert, I've not been too good today!' and that minimises any damage. I also go there with all of my healthy extras and syns free to use.

I generally eat what I'm given for the main but refuse anything else depending on how 'bad' the main course was. I know how hard it is though, you really don't want to hurt someone's feelings.
