Oh yes!

I'm all for that!

And the children too! ;)

They don't call me Miss Whiplash for nothing...;)

I think the phrase I need rhymes with clucking bell (Blackadder :D) How do you ever get time to do anything else? Good on you for rising to the challenge...very impressed :):worthy:

That's brilliant Loulou! Anyone who quotes Blackadder, Waynes World, Dumb & Dumber or Airplane! is always on a winner:cool:

Mad as a Hatter Steve! But good on you.

Let me know how many km you are allocated on the team swim and I'll take you on at that until the start of the Olympics. Can't match you on walking mind!

I haven't forgotten this bev, but getting people at work to make a simple decision is like drawing teeth! - should have let me organise it! I'll have completed my walk by the time the swimathon is arranged.

Hey Stevie babe,

You're a lean, mean walking machine! How do you manage to keep your motivation going for so long? I like walking but I could NEVER commit to what you're doing...I think you're fab!

Please remember your commitments to the harem though...you may need to set aside some energy and 2 minutes of your time for us...;)

2 whole minutes!!! - that's 30 seconds each !!! no way i'm putting overtime in for any woman:D
Woman after my own heart ..........football, whats that?............

Harem:eek::love:

This is your mumsie here . I just popped in to say hi baby boy and made the shocking discovery that you have a harem !!!!!!!!:8855:

Congratulations Stevie you have done so well and I am really impressed with your tenacity.

2,012 kilometers sound mega impressive.
Proud of you boy child !!!!

:hug99: from mumsie xxxx

Will you's all pack it in being rude and that man, me ma's watching!:p - Ha'way lasses, be lady-like.

I'm a firm believer in a good spanking to keep them in check ;)

Bit of the old matriarchal (sp?) discipline eh? :whoopass::whip::giggle:

I just heard the late great Kenneth Williams then! - "ooooh matron!"

Complete madness and a bit of lunacy thrown in for good measure.

12.4 mile added today meaning 225.5 miles in total - just 74.6 to go to hit target - might even have the option of the last two days off I I want them:D

Suppose that 30 seconds includes a shower too...;)

No smoking in my bed !!! Well not the fag kind lol !!!!!!

Stevie , baby boy, this thread is deteriorating into a different kind of exercise thread......oh and by the way " I will have the lasagna":airplane:

Sue, trust me, it has cleaned up considerably since you appeared! - they were frightening before!

So, getting back to the real world, despite an early night last night, I really struggled to get up this morning. 4.45am starts really take their toll. I've no doubt I am too obsessed, but I can't give up now.

Manage 12.3 miles today - somehow lost 1/10 of a mile - despite doing the same route as always! - maybe the GPS is tiring too lol.

Running total now stands at 237.8 mile in 23 days.

I had the last of my salad today. Also low on fruit. Fortunately, a new bloke who joined our rambler group this Sunday has a fruit & veg shop in nearby Washington. Might have to see if this "mate's rates" theory holds any water;)

Tomorrow is my WI night. Should be interesting to see how things are going with the walking. I feel heavy-legged, but that's to be expected I guess. I feel fit as a fiddle and usually after the first mile, it is a pleasure to be out in the fresh air - making the most of it before the dark nights put a stop to it all.

This evening finished in very heavy drizzle - but it was a welcome way to cool off.

My next challenge will NOT be as extreme;)

Can anyone advise me of Cous Cous ideas as I bought some of those Ainsley Harriet packets and haven't a clue what to do. I fancy a bit Moroccan food though, but having never even attempted this before, not sure. Any ideas welcome from you culinary starlets.

Steve

You are doing brilliantly Steve x

Hopefully the scales reflect this L :)

If any of you remember, I was 1lb underweight and if I do not get between 10st 9lb and 11st 1lb I will have to pay.

Any less than 10st 9lb and it's "into the wallet" time.

I'm confident the fish & chips trick (last Thursday) will see me safe:cool:

Evening Steve x

You have to tell me what drives you hunni :worthy:

How do you keep this up? (no pun intended but actually giggling away quietly to myself...sorry :ashamed0005: )

I've got the diet thing sussed now...it's almost second nature ...but I struggle with regular exercise  I'm going to be walking little Sukis legs off soon, but it's going to be a bit of a dawdle rather than a proper walk, bless her x

Hi Steve - can't help you out on the cous cous front I'm sorry. Can't get to grips with the stuff. Looks a bit like frog spawn to me.

Nothing flash - just a Nissan Note diesel;)

I tend to have an obsessive personality. Without sounding morbid, I dedicate it all to my fallen friends no longer with me. I dedicate it all to their memory. That is what drives me and keeps me motivated - simply put, I have a choice, their's was cruelly taken away.

I had never tried cous cous, but I was in Epcot, in FLorida and ate in the World Showcase in Morocc - best meal I had in the whole of Florida - now I would like to DIY some Moroccan stuff.
Helloooo.. had to come find out the fellow gatesheader..

Alreet hinny? - me, you and Irene can start a revolution on here - Gateshead v Northampton lol

Woo woo!

You're on hunni! ;) xx

Oh dear. I'm going to be in trouble here.

Sorry Dawn, Sorry Jackie, but I'm with the Northerners.

Maybe not for Gateshead itself, although I'd be happy to be in some parts of it - but Northumberland beats Northampton hands down.

So I'm very sorry, to all my fellow midland-dwellers.

I was back up there this last weekend, and as soon as I got out of the train I could smell the Northern air, and knew I was "at home". Even though I haven't lived there for 22 years!

Oh, and Steve & Bev - can I join your Olympic challenges? Please?
I think I've proved myself on the swimming already, but I need to get back there. I've got far too lazy recently!

Erm...Sarah...

Haven't you got some work to do?

Or some knitting...?

Or some spinach to wilt...? ;)
