Hiya Red - well done on going to classes, I'm off to find your new diary!
I'm fine. Weight wise - still at at target (ish) and have been now for over a year having lowered it twice.
Bit stressed at the mo though as hubs was in hospital (emergency) over New Year and it got a bit complicated this week when we went back for his checkup. Not health-wise fortunately - although the consultant did frighten me witha few of the tings he ut beaurocracy-wise. But we'll find a soution somehow.

I'm sorry you are stressed and I hope it all gets sorted out :bighug: and well done for maintaining for so long.

Curls, hope you get your tax returns done quickly so you can have a nice weekend. x

I think there area quite a few of us doing it today. Hubs got all the paperwork together on Wednesday, I did the spreadsheets on Thursday and Friday and now I'm off to enter everything online! Deep Joy!

Way to go DD!!! Proud of my fellow Devonshire maid!! There's nothing like a loss to put a spring in your step is there!!

I'm employed by NHS as a nurse, AND self-employed with regards to our holiday cottages. I just wish I didn't have to do the horrible tax return! To be fair to DH he does the majority but I still end up doing boring data entry into spreadsheets and sorting out paperwork- he does the big bits and gets everything together for the accountant to check over. We are both procrastinating though and haven't done a jot towards it today!! Tomorrow will be one mad rush!!! It happens every year!!!!

Hey babe - how's tricks?? Xxx

Hey hun, tricks aren't too bad thanks!!! Food going well, and doing TONS of walking, also been very much on the go in work but scales are misbehaving for some reason!! It could be the exercise thing- it always does it to me!! I really do feel in better shape and clothes feeling looser on me already but the scales are saying I'm up 1lb from Monday's WI!!! So I'm hoping for a drop in 2 days!!! Doesn't matter if not though I know I'll see results next week instead- it's never worked logically on a weekly basis for me !! But like before I shall get there in the end!! Patience is a virtue n all that!!!

How is your weekend going ?XXXXX

How strange, I was convinced I posted yesterday (Friday)s food diary here but apparently not!!! Oh well, it was a good day!! I had 2 Weetabix for breakfast (HEXb) with hot milk (skimmed- 1/3 HEXa) and a sliced banana. For lunch I had 2 bowls of syn free vegetable soup (we're still on the same one- it was a big vat!!) and 2 kiwi fruits. Then in the evening I had chicken and prawn curry with basmati rice. The curry was given to us by our guest staying in our apartment. (We had given him soup when Dai made it the other day!!) I was a bit wary of it and didn't want to offend by asking him what fat he had put in it, but I could tell by its appearance and taste that it was very low fat indeed. Had a good old portion of it yum yum, and of rice- which has made me a bit bloated so I hope that carb bloat doesn't hinder my loss on Monday!!

Negligable syns for the day!!

Week 2- Day 5- Saturday 26th January 2013.

Breakfast- 2 Shredded Wheat (HEXb) with hot skimmed milk (1/3 HEXa) and a sliced banana.

Lunch- Large bowl of syn free vegetable soup (yup same one!!) and I stirred in some rice that was left over from the curry last night- I like rice in soups!! A cherry Activia 0% yogurt.

Tea- Poached salmon fillet with stir fried vegetables and a little soy sauce. A little of DHs tagliatelle ( I made him carbonara but didn't want it myself as was making it with cream- that's dedication for you!!)

Milk in cups of tea (approx 1/3 HEXa).

Total syns zero!!

May I also add that I went on a 2 1/2 hour walk today- about 6 miles of beach, fields and a big hill! My right welly sprung a leak so I had to do the second half of the walk with a squelchy cold wet foot!! Not fun, but I kept thinking of the new svelte toned figure I'm going to have with all the walking!!! Hehe XXXX

Same here. Since retiring, every year in May I start saying that I'll get the info together and do it. And every year come about 25th January I go into a mad panic. How is it that when I worked I actually got it all submitted by June and didn't put it off? Must be the retired mentality kicking in.

Looks like we have the retired mentality already!! That can't be good!! No I think its more about personality!! We're peas in a pod when it comes to leaving things til the very last minute!! We were both the same with college/uni work , working through the night! I think some of us in life need that pressure on us to get things done!! When its fun stuff we are the most organised people on the planet! xxx

Zero syns!!!! A treat is required ;) Kidding x

Hi Lisa, well I feel like ive eaten well on plan and haven't really wanted any naughties (that won't last hehe) but despite the lack of synnage the scales aren't budging!! I have done hours of walking involving short bursts of running, along the beach and up over hills, id say ive done 14 miles/ 5 hours this week! Im feeling less flabby/wobbly and my clothes are fitting better after 2 weeks so I'm hanging in there to wait and see what happens! It has never worked logically for me, I tend to see good losses every 3 to 4 weeks so if I keep being on track I know there will be a good loss somewhere around the corner x Anyway how is your week going Lisa? XxxX

Well done on the exercise!!! That's something I still need to get my head round ;)

I'm ok. I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself but that's normal I guess.

Lazy weekend as hubby has a cold so we only popped to Tesco and back yesterday but we were meant to go see Les Misrables :(

Exercise is something i really have to psyche myself up for, it doesnt come naturally. To be honest when I lost the 5 stone it was mainly through diet and not an awful lot of exercise, although im on my feet a lot in work. Now I want to shift 1 1/2 stone I would like to tone up and get into better shape. I have stopped trying to fool myself that I will go to a gym or exercise classes or at least keep them up! And where we live we have the most spectacular walks right on our doorstep so ive realised all i need to do is get out for an hour several times a week and longer if I have time. Its something I can work around my shifts and its free. Its also great cardiovascular exercise as there are sand dunes and big hills to climb! Its definitely important to find something you really enjoy and that is workable around your lifestyle, most importantly something you will keep up! Now im actually into it again I feel all smug hehe!!

I STILL havent yet seen Les Mis and thats not like me because ive seen the show 3 times! I'm a big fan!! Im hoping to see it either Tuesday or Saturday!

Hope hubster's cold is better! Manflu is such a deadly thing! Blessem!!

Have a great week!

H xxxxx
