gastric band hypnotherapy

Keep at it... If in doubt re read the book and place the cd again.. When you are hungy...eat... When you are full.. Stop..lol

I know it wont work for everyone.. but I cannot praise it enough.. I lost 7lb this week.. so thats 5 stone and half a pound overall!... The word chuffed doesnt even come close to how I am feeling..

Good luck with everyone trying it.. Give it a chance, I did, and its changed my life. x
Wow that's fab! You've inspired me to give this a go once I finish my VLCD. I'm hoping it will be helped by the fact my stomach will already be much smaller than normal and at the moment I can't do most my bad habits.

Best of luck girls!..I know you can all do it xx

Started reading the book last night and I can tell already that it's going to work well for me!

Thats brilliant...keep us informed xxxxx

have weighed myself after a week of following the rules and have stayed the same!! :0(

Dont give up.. it took me a few days to get into it!... Remember, eat slowly, chew 20 times, savor your food, listen to your body ( that part was hard for me, as I dont think I have ever felt hunger, and id over eaten so much, I never knew what full felt like either!)... Thinking of you, wishing you luck xxxx

I've been reading for a few days and haven't got to the actual CD part yet. Don't be disheartened if you haven't lost anything after a week, remember that you are making changes for life and not for a quick fix. Have you read the whole book and listed to the CD and watched the DVD?

My scales are broken and I'm not going to bother doing anything about it for about a month as I know that when I had hypnosis before I really enjoyed not weighing and it was always a nice surprise when I did get a chance to weigh

Hi everybody. I found this thread last night whilst doing some research about the gastric band hypnosis. I have read it all from the start and I am now unsure about paying all that money for the hypnosis. I'm going to try the Paul McKenna book as a much cheaper alternative to see if that works for me. Some of your stories have truly inspired me xx

Hi Almec, welcome to the forum! I would definitely recommend trying the book first. I got mine from Amazon, it was only £7.66!

I'm only on page 80 of the book and not got to the actual hypnosis part yet but something weird happened this evening. We were out to dinner and I couldn't finish it! I was suddenly quite full and I just knew I had to stop there. Then came the burps! When I had my original HGB I would get burps after eating, every time without fail! Can't wait to finish the book and listen to the CD for the full effects!

Hi Taz, I ordered the book tonight so should hopefully have it by the end of the week. That's good that the book has started to make positive changes in you already. Good luck!
I'm hoping the book has that effect on me as I never seem to feel full x

Well done ladies..

Cant wait to see some more positive outcomes from the book..!

I am still sceptical.. but somethings definitely working! xx

Keep us updated. x

I did the CD last night. Afterwards I just felt ridiculously chilled out. I was worried that it hadn't worked but I was too relaxed to really care. When I had my previous HGB it was done in the morning so I felt the effects almost immediately. This morning I made my usual smoothie. It took longer to drink it and afterwards I felt very full. That was 2 hours ago and I still feel full! Working? Oh I think so!

I think I may listen to the CD every week or 2 for now to keep it fresh, I loved the feeling of it last time and I don't want to lose it again. I have a lot of weight to lose and I know this is the way forward. Challenge one, I have to fit back into my work trousers by 20th May. At the moment they are an inch of doing up and probably 2 inches off being comfortable and wearable. I will do it! Watch this space....

How is everyone else doing?

Very well done Taz...

I had my monthly listen to my CD this week.. It really does give me a sense of well being, and a boost of motivation that just drives me along.

I lost 1.5lb this week, which isnt great compared to my previous losses... but i did weigh myself (on the same scales) but took them to my caravan last week, as i was holidaying.. so I think last weeks 7lb loss could of been a little exaggerated by the moving of the scales... but being a positive person, Im going to spin it around, and say.. wow.. i lost 8.5lb in 2 weeks!...Which of course I am chuffed with.

xxx

Either way it's an 8.5lb loss! Well done! And the way I look at it, every lb is a bonus as we are not actually dieting to get those losses! My scales are broken so I won't know about lb loss til I sort them out but I will be able to tell in my clothes. I may take a look at my scales later and update my vital statistics. I'm just about to have lunch, I'm thinking egg on toast will go down quite nicely! The only other thing I've had today is a Special K biscuit moments. I got hungry around 11am and just wanted something to fit the gap and it did nicely :D

Youre doing brilliantly... I had 1 slice of toast for breakfast, and Ive walked Flo, (one of my pugs) for about 2 miles, Im not sure who needs the ventilator more..me or her!..

Im not hungry tho, and Ive made a lasagne for dinner with meatfree mince, and substituted double cream in the bechamel sauce for half fat creme fraiche... So really looking forward to that this evening.

xx

HGB day one: I had a smoothie made the way I usually have it every morning but it completely filled me up! I think tomorrow I will try to make it a bit smaller. That was at about half 7am and kept me going through til 11am when I got a bit peckish and had a pack of Special K biscuit moments to take the edge off. About half 1 I had poached eggs on toast for lunch and that hit the spot nicely :) Then I had visitors so I used the opportunity to get a pack of mallows out of my cupboard. It had been a couple of hours since lunch so I managed to munch a couple of them myself. I had to go out just after 5pm to my exercise group (rehab for my knee post op) then I had Aquafit after that. So I munched a bag of crisps before I went and took a Nakd bar for between the sessions. I get light headed if I exercise on an empty stomach so I was conscious of how little I'd had. When I got home I was fine for about an hour then had a Gold Bar. I am still awake and started to get hungry again so I made a toastie with one slice of bread folded over and one slice of cheese (and my favourite Franks really hot sauce).

So that was day one, I know there wasn't a lot of healthy food in all of that but it was a bit of a mish mash of a day with visitors and having to go out early evening. Tomorrow should be a more healthy one.

I am loving it. I love the feeling of freedom and I'm loving that I have so much energy and just feel so positive about... Well... Everything!

MissMiff, how was your lasagne? I love pasta but never really liked lasagne. How much of it could you manage?

Hey girls,

I had my pre operation hypno today- been following sw as well as my therapy sessions and have noticed my portion sizes have greatly reduced and I am getting fuller much quicker. Have my gastric band fitted in next week so really looking forward to that.

That's excellent Roziee! Seems you are forming good habits before they become the norm. Good luck for next week, keep us updated on your progress

Yeah :) will be interesting to see how I feel after the gastric band..

But I've been getting therapy with it to and it's been a real help. All the negativity and the lack of control I had is slowly disappearing..
