Getting skinnier and healthier with SW

I think we all fall off the wagon occasionally...but the most important thing is getting back on it again...which clearly you've done!! :)

The car sounds very fun and a bargain! I'm so bad and hate driving so thank goodness I get a train to work! Do you have a define move date now? Xxx

No definite move date yet, should find out this week, not even sure where abouts well be living, waiting for them to offer us some choices.
I need to remember that full feeling too, and how awful it is, hopefully will keep me on plan next time I'm tempted. Sneaky weigh this morning and have put on 3lbs since Friday morning, 3lb in 2 days! Omg! Hoping its just a blip :-S, got until Thursday to get it off again. X

Don't stress about the blip (or the sneaky weigh in) maybe try lots of super speed food and low syns for the next few days. At least you know that it didn't make you feel good and have just got 'straight back on the horse' rather than giving in. xx

Can't believe it's only Monday :-(

Thanks Hun, have had another good day today and feel back on plan happily again. I am already looking forward to the weekend, this week is going to be a long week, got early shifts (6.30-11.30, as doing 5 hrs this week, mon, wed, fri, got lates on tues and Thursday (3.45- 9.15).

I am starting volunteering at a local primary school from tomorrow too, had my crb done before Christmas but cos I was ill, I haven't been able to, so I'm going there 8.30- 3. I really struggled at work this morning with pain, so I hope I'm not pushing myself too hard too soon.
Because of moving I've had to cancel my PGCE application for Norwich, so just need to get some more experience under my belt before I apply to do it lincoln now instead. Fingers crossed.

Also realised tonight that I won't be able to make my wi on Thursday eve :-( but this may be quite good as means I have a little longer to work my little bum off, and get any naughtiness off again :)
We will get an offer of a house tomorrow so looking forward to that, will be nice to know where we well be moving to.

Mid week update

So yesterday went pretty much to plan, it was exhausting but it was a good day :)
I had a great day at the school, but I was in quite a lot of pain at work, luckily I was on with a lovely girl and she helped me tons.
Food diary yesterday:
B- alpen light, pineapple, mango, yoghurt
L- mugshot, apple, alpen light bar
S- leftover cheesy mash
D- left over vege pasta, babybel light
S- freddo(very necessary) lol.

Also by yesterday scales were showing I was the same as Friday morning so it appears that I have recovered from my awful weekend of eating. Lol.
Didnt get in til 9.15 and realised I'd left my phone at work!! :-( and then I was on earlies this morning, so was up at 5.20am, so I'm really enjoying being cosied up on my sofa right now :) we also got our house yesterday woo hoo!! My lovely mum pulled some strings and got us the house exactly where we wanted. Going to send a little thank you note and some wine or something to the lady that helped us :) what a nice thing to do.

Food diary for today
B- alpen light bar
L- low fat supernoodles, babybel light, yoghurt, melon
D- the plan is for homemade turkey burgers with cheese in, with SW chips and salad.

going to maybe cook up some vege curry too so I can eat that tomorrow while I'm super busy with school/work again, I find it easier to stick to plan when I've got options that are easy to hand. Think ill take chicken noodle soup for lunch at the school.

Think I might take a little nap :) x

Congratulations on getting the house you wanted, that's great news. Are you moving far?

Also good to hear that your naughty weekend hasn't caused any long term damage!!

That's really exciting! At least your mum won't be too far away and I'm sure she'll always be on the end of the phone for you.

Yeah we managed when I lived in Manchester, which is 4-5 hour drive, but it's been nice to have her around again, especially when I was ill. But means will be closer to Chris' sister so hopefully well see more of them, it's a bit of a trek at the moment. Really looking forward to being near a city again, there's so much more going on, and Lincoln has awesome Christmas markets. :) x

My tea was super yummy, felt like I really needed to show you all a pic.

The burgers were homemade, made using turkey mince from aldi, just added half a red onion and a bit of herbs, and an egg. Was beautiful and moist, not dry at all, really enjoyed it, and will definitely be doing it again. Think the mince was about £1.59, and it made 5 lovely big chunky burgers, so much cheaper than ready made supermarket burgers and much healthier too.
We used to buy tescos finest flavoured burgers all the time and they were 2 packets for £6, so 8 burgers for £6, won't be doing that again, might try and do some lamb burgers or something.

Think ill be having another early night tonight, to prepare for another enormously look day tomorrow. X

Burgers look delish! And at least you know what's going in them a bit more than ready made ones!! No nayyyying! :)
Great news on your mum helping sort the house you want...imagine that will make the transition easier knowing you're heading somewhere you want to be! :) xx

Congratulations on getting the house! It all sounds very exciting! I moved away from my family, about an hour and a half away, and I really missed my family but it did mean that whenever I did see them it was genuine quality time. :)

Those burgers look amazing too! x

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!!

Oh ging, you have no idea how much your naaayyying joke made me smile just when I really really needed it.

All I can say is Thank God it's Friday!!
So yesterday I got up at 6.45, walked the dog before heading to the school to volunteer for the day. I was in with the reception class, I had great fun. Finished there at 3pm, quickly nipped home, got changed then I started work at 3.45 til 9.15.
My belly was hurting quite a bit and was very much looking forward to my bed, was alarm goes off at 5.20 to get for earlies. :-(
that's where it all went wrong!!

Got home and Chris was upstairs so went upstairs to say hi, he was in the bathroom saying he felt ill, slurring his words then I realised he was drunk. So I asked where Mylo was, Chris said in his bed, so I went back downstairs to see him and he's not in his bed he's outside, so no idea how long he's been sat outside bless his little heart ( he doesn't really bark).
Let him in, having s cuddle and realised Chris hasn't fed him!!!! Getting even more mad by the minute! So my poor dog hasn't been walked either!!
quickly made myself some supernoodles while Mylo eats, went to get changed to walk Mylo (still in lots of pain, don't want to even move), and I see Chris asleep across the landing, he can't get up. So I have to practically drag him to the bed ( I'm not allowed to lift anything heavy). Got him onto the bed and he refuses to lay down, so I left him with a sick bowl and bottles of water.
Quick nip to the loo, to find one of our hand towels down the loo covered in sick, no sick in the toilet. So really loosing patience now!! So put that in the wash and take the dog out. Get back, and Chris is laid sideways across the bed!! Took me 10 mins to get him to turn around to lay down the bed. Jump in shower, put the dog to bed and crawled into bed just before 11. Had to leave a bedside light on, so if Chris was sick of tried to get up he wouldn't hurt himself in the dark, and everytime he turned him onto his back I had to roll him over so he didn't choke if he was sick ( I know someone who died from this, so I am probably a little paranoid).

All in all a very **** end to a very long day and a crap nights sleep.

Got to work and the young lad ( my managers idiotic son) who was supposed to be on shift with me, didn't turn up. Finally managed to get hold of him and he dragged his miserable butt to work nearly half an hour late! So I was very ready to cry and stupid o'clock this morning! :-(
and then I managed to burn my knuckle quite badly on the oven!! Sob! With some special burn cream and a burn plaster it's not too bad.

Got home at lunch and Chris cannot remember what happened lady night at all. He's very apologetic, but I'm still a bit annoyed. He has never never been that bad before. He's supposed to be looking after me right now and I can't believe he just forgot about me and more importantly Mylo, I can't believe he forgot about him!!

Im sure ill get over it soon, I'm not great at staying mad.
Anyway, anybody doing anything exciting this weekend? I really need to go food shopping!
X

That sounds pretty intense! Hopefully he'll make it up to you! That sucks about burning your knuckle too, it's horrible when stuff like that happens. :( I'm sure the next week will be much more positive!

This weekend will be the first weekend Liam has had off since Christmas, so I think we'll try and do something nice tomorrow. I took my cat to get spayed on Wednesday though and she's still a bit edgy, so if we go out it won't be for too long so we can still monitor her a little bit. Do you have any nice plans? x

Aw, Emma, that sounds awful!! I hope he does lots of grovelling, he's got a lot to make up for.

I'm visiting a friend tonight because she wants to show me her new furniture (I'm not sure when I got to the age when things like that are exciting but I really can't wait to see it!!), I'm doing some shopping in town tomorrow and then taking two of my nieces to the cinema on Sunday morning. A nice relaxing weekend for me. Hope yours is going to be too - I think you need it!

Hi ladies,

thanks your comments, feeling a lot more human and less miserable tonight. Rested until about 4, caught up on my great British menu episodes that I had recorded, anybody else obsessed like me? Picked up my friends kid for her, and popped into asda to see what was on offer. I decided it would be cheaper but take a lot longer to just get the offers from each supermarket.
So we ended up going around asda, tesco, lidl, aldi and sainsburys tonight, husband in tow, and oddly enough he didn't whinge one bit. Lol.
He treated me to a Chinese, but told him to think about how to make it upto me.
Just as I got home my mum and dad came round with some beautiful flowers for me to say thank you as they keep borrowing our car.

What do you think? Sorry the pic is the wrong way round.

Luh luh, your poor little cat, my dog was so grouchy when he'd been castrated. But you guys should definitely do something nice, go for dinner and drinks or something. Hope you guys have fun!

Bev, I'm at the age of furniture loving too, I loved it when we got some new bits lately! Lol. Went to a gorgeous shop the other weekend, was called unique had such beautiful things in it, wandered around for ages looking at the tables and units and chairs etc. what are you planning to watch at the cinema?

This weekend is pretty plan less :) I think I'd like to take the dog for a really long walk in the woods, got lots of washing and sorting to do around the house. And ill probably end up helping mum and dad decorating at some point. But no proper plans. Might go to the cinema, can't even remember the last time we went!! Far too long. And was slightly tempted to drive and go see our house but I think ill find better things to do than that.

Food diary today:
B- alpen light bar
S- 1/2 alpen light
L- pasta with pasata and cheese (hex a)
S- shared packet of snacka jacks (2.5 syns)
D- Chinese- boiled rice with chicken and mushroom curry and some mixed veg in black bean sauce (10 syns?)
S- mini milk (1.5 syns)

had to have the mini milk, the curry was super hot, my mouth was on fire

hopefully ill have some more good days over the weekend, no more takeaways!! Naughty Emma! Lol.

Xx

Re: New to SW.... trying to find a new healthier me

Mini milk sounds like the perfect way to get over a mouth on fire! Milk does wonders- frozen milk, even better! My face was on fire recently after touching it after preparing chilis- luckily not my eyes though! Mini milk would jave been great for that... I spent ten minutes trying to splash milk and yoghurt on my face- LOL. It was horrible though :/ no idea my skin would react like that.

Wow @ your man following you around all those stores!! My bf and I do a big tesco shop once a week which takes around an hour and he gets sooo fed up. Whenever we go to our local cinema we have to plan three shops into it though- Sainsbury'a for extra lean mince beef, morrisoms for Lilt zero (the only places I've been able to find these things!) and the market stalls for fruit and veg! I have to make a paxt to ONLY get those items though or I'd be in each of them hours with too much to carry :|

Hi ladies , enjoyed your wee blog so thought id join in :) i started SW start of Feb and have lost 5.5lbs so far so hoping for my half stone award this week :) I was hoping the weight would have came off quicker but im used to Fad diets and i know this is changing my food for life, for the better so im being patient. Lee (my bf) doesnt understand when i cook such large/tasty meals yet they are free or superfree so its difficult trying to get him to understand - men ugh ! I enjoy cooking soups with plenty superfree veg in them and i love my stirfrys ! tried the chickpea dahl loaf for snacks but didnt succeed it went straight in the bin :( need to try again using less chickpeas, iv just this week started hifi light bars and alpen light bars and enjoying them !

I struggle to enjoy synning, so i often have under 5 about 5 days of the week and 20-30 the other 2 days of the week ( on alcohol or chinese )

Im on extra easy and have started power walking twice a week and using my stepper once. Need to increase this :)

The cinema near me do a kids film club on a Saturday and Sunday morning. Only £3 for each child and adults go free :) It's not newly released films but the kids don't mind, I think they just enjoy the day out. I think it's Tinkerbell this week.
