Getting to Goal by Zeke

Glad to hear it!! And huge apologies for the typos!! My iphone is a pain for predictive text!!
Anyway - you'll be pleased to know - I'm on my PC!! Finally!!
Was at OH's last night, and then he came here today, so just been checking in on my phone!!

after re-reading everything, you were in the right frame of mind! Yesterday may have been an off-plan day, but you were prepared for it, and you put it right today.
You've done the right thing, put a line under it and started fresh - so you're NOT going back to old habits - you're a new person, and you WILL succeed at this!! You've already come so far!!

I'm about to add my stats to that site as well, now that i can do it properly!! I really need to get back to doing JM (Did it once - how shameful!) Still, i'm forewarned now, so won't go OTT!!

Anyway - ignoring the food parts - how was Clapham!? Did you have a good day?! What you been up to today!?

And i'm super glad to hear my 'nana is staying!! Couldn't do it without you!! xxxxxx

Well, I was better yesterday but STILL not back to 100% food optimising.

Putting my diary on here hasn't worked. I have decided to keep a book (already have an A4 hardback book with lined paper in that will be perfect) and divide each page into 12 (2 columns and 6 rows). The first column is the plan and the second the actual. I want to try and move towards eating at more set times (which I manage during the day on the whole but it all goes out of the window starting late afternoon/evening).

I am up another 0.4 lbs today - so that makes me up that amount for the week with three days to go.

In hindsight it was too much for me going away two weekends in a row. I have noticed an interesting pattern though - I pretty much stick to food optimising when I am actually away but when I get back I THEN come off plan. I guess there is some kind of psychological reason for that!

Another problem is the house. Two weekends of not doing my saturday housework and laundry - not good!

On that note I need to go and do some housework and work work!

Hopefully I will be able to report back later in a more upbeat way! :wave_cry:

Oh goodness! Sorry to hear the online diary didn't work for you, but then if paper is better for you, then to each their own! You use whatever is best for you!! I spend so much time online that a food diary is almost "natural" to put on here!!

Oooh - that's an interesting thought - why would you stick to it away (which is my most vulnerable time) and then not when you get home?!
I'm terrible for picking when i'm on my own in the evenings!! I wolfed down 2 WW lemon slices just for the sake of it, but i needed something sweet and getting sick of fruit!! (eek!)

Hope you get the housework out of the way super fast, and are feeling better!!

Love and hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hi - Just back from work.

Housework still exists but I'm not doing school pick up or taking my son to his club today so I have plenty of time. Just hate it when I get behind and then put it off even more! Still have quite a lot of work work to do as well.

I desperately need to go shopping (again!). No idea what I will have for dinner/no fruit/ little salad etc. I will MAKE myself go in a minute.

I do want a loss this week! I will be :D with 0.5 lbs now (tbh I will be ok if my home scales are 0.2 lbs less this week).

The diary thing - I spent too much time online and the trip to update my online diary inevitably keeps me on afterwards.

Right! I need to actually get that diary going and get my arse down the supermarket...

xx

Go gadget!!! To the supermarket!!!!!!
Talk when you get back!! (I recommend the garlic mushrooms and garlic chicken for dinner!!) xxx hehe! xxxx

Well I did it! The diary and the supermarket (and a load more marking!). I am having thai chicken burger or something like that for dinner (from July mag) - need to get on and start prepping those!

Where did you get the recipe for the garlic chicken and mushrooms from? What about superfree soup?

The mushrooms and chicken are from extra easy meals in minutes I think!! And superfree soup is on here!! Can scan them in for you, or take a photo and send to you?!

Yay for getting everything done!! I have a stinking headache and have to wait for ages to use the kitchen.... Not impressed!! Xxxx

I am wondering if I am spending loads more on food these days? I think I must be - although less on wine.

I bought a load of the Hi-Fi bars at the last meeting (first time). I think I prefer the alpen lights (well the deluxe choc one is good!) - the normal hi-fi are not better than 2 alpen lights. I think when these are gone it is time to have a new second HeB. Maybe crispbreads that I can load up with cottage cheese. I am stuck with my morning HeB as I bought two boxes of all-bran on offer!

I am done eating for the day. Over syns again, by approx 5. Well I guess that is ok if I allow myself 15! :sigh:

Whilst I remember and have the pics on my phone....tis no trouble at all!!! Xxx

Love and hugs xxxx

You are more than welcome!! i already had the pics on my phone for the shopping list, and then again as i was at Tom's cooking it - so it was no bother!!! Plus, they're scrummy and i need someone else to confirm!! I shall live vicariously through you as i'm no longer allowed garlic now my dad is back from his fishing trip!!!!

I am spending a snall fortune on food nowadays, and because it's all fresh and has a relatively short shelf life, i'm buying twice asw much!!

Have just made the soup though - had 2 bowlfuls for dinner, have a huge tupperware for lunch tomorrow, and have 5 freezer bags ready to pop in the freezer!!! Also placed an order with Joe's sausages (£35 -) so trying to get everything to last longer!!!

I quite like the hi fi bars, but i have them so infrequently that they last for about 3 weeks or so!! My fave so far is the mint or lemon, depending on my mood!!!

And you're allowed 15 syns a day!! No idea how many i've had, but i made somemore nutella cakes, but made more than i should (from the recipe) and so work's out that each cake is 0.6 syns, so just over half!! If i have any swyns left today, i may scoff another WW lemon slice!! Mwahahahahaha!!!!!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I don't dislike the Hi-FI bars - in fact I like them slightly more than the alpen lights - I just don't think they are worth 6 syns wheras an alpen light is worth 3!

Well, the good news is I am down :D

I was 186.6 this morning so I am now down 0.4 lbs for the week with two days to go! I feel like I am 'back' now.

Hazar!!! That's good to hear!! I'm still looking forward to weigh in - especially as i've been really good, and really hoping i've earned by 1/2 stone sticker!! Though need to scrutinse the dishes with the lowest syns for tonights dinner!!! Though only had a few yesterday, so might be ok!!!

I agree about the syn values in hi-fi's - seems daft when the WW slices are only 4, and my nutella cakes are 0.5-1 and must more satisfying!!! Hehehehe!!!

Yes, I reall hope you have earnt your 1/2 st sticker this week, too!

WI every day as definitely helped me get back on track this week. I also think that I won't be too bothered if I end up STS or just lose 0.5 lbs in class this week as long as I register a loss on my home scales.

Just back from the gym - I did 35 mins on the stepper. Easier than normal because I went on one on the RHS rather than the LHS and this X-country program is MUCH easier. Not complaining today though actually!

It is going to have to be a speedy prawn curry for dinner. I think I will make up the full amount of sauce and that should do at two dinners.

Now and this evening I am going to try and put my heart and soul into some housework. The house is just horrible. The puppy has now been completely banned from going upstairs - oh why we didn't insist on this from day 1....

DH had another ***** about how much I spend in the supermarket so I think I will join the shopping list thread for a few weeks and have a closer look at it!

Oh and I realised that my next sticker will actually be a quintuple (is that even a word) rather than a triple:

1. 1.5 st
2. 10%
3. Back down to lowest weight of 2010
4. Into the 170's on my home scales
5. Move from Obese to Overweight

That will be a HAPPY EXCITING DAY!!!!

Also been thinking of timeline goals.

I would like to get the above 'quintuple' no later than Thu 30 June.

I would like to be in the 160's on my home scales by Thu 28th August and definitely have my 2 st sticker by then. I will almost certainly have to swap to a Wed evening class after that.

I would like to be less than 155 lbs (so not overweight anymore) by 29th November (8th Wedding anniversary).

I would like to be maintaining my target weight by the start of March 2012 (IL's 50th wedding anniversary so there should be some kind of a 'do').

I think they are all pretty realistic?

Down another 0.4 lbs today - so 0.8 in total with one day to go. I hope I will make 1 lb off now, at least on my home scales :D

THEN - I plan a bumper week next week! Do the same kind of thing I did when I lost 3.5 lbs in a week - put in more exercise etc.

I think they're great goals, very realistic and yet massively exciting!!!!! You always inspire me to do the same, so will work out my dates (or fit them round yours) and we'll make dome challenges!!

I need to get back into exercise! I'm still power walking lots, but need to do more!!!

WOW you're quintuple (if it isn't a word it should be!) will be amazing!!! Think we should celebrate that one!!! Will be fabulous, and just think how great you'll look and feel then!!! I'm almost jealous!!!

What you got planned for the day!! I'm just on my way to work!!

Love and hugs xxxx

Heehee - thanks!

I could call it a sextuple (will also be in the 12 st somthings on my home scales) but that is just being greedy :D

Yes, it is exciting to think that I really can achieve those goals - all I have to do is keep doing what I am doing...

I have been into work today and will go back in later (in 3.5 hrs time). I did no housework yesterday despite by grand ambitions and I just have to do some today - especially laundry!

In 48 hours time I will be in easy-street work-wise.

Do you like looking at clothes online etc and dreaming about what you could buy when you are slimmer? It is my new hobby. I think I helped to crash the Reiss website yesterday! I am writing down all these labels that Kate Middleton wears (highstreet ones!) for future reference :D

Of course!! I'm always "window shopping" and look forward to the day i can just wear a little vest and cut off shorts and not worry bout my arms being so fat, and my belly hanging over and my thighs rubbing together (nice image, right?!?!)
I went shopping yesterday to look for Jordan attire, and i have found that im down a dress size - i went into changing rooms with a 20 in everything, and it was drowning me, so i may well be down to an 18...possibly a 16, which would be great!! Still, i didn't find anything appropriate! Everything seems to show leg or cleavage, both of which are disrespectful!! Will have to look in M&S ad Debenhams!!

I also like looking at Joe Brown's stuff!! But everything comes up small!! I'd like going with mum to Jane normal, and just being able to go into *Any* shop and buy "normal clothes!!" Not looked at Reiss, will look in a bit!! I've realised today that i'm envious of how smart she always looks!!!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

48 hours will fly by!! I know you told me last week, but i'd completely forgotten it was half term!! Maybe i'll take little man to the zoo - they're having late opening events at london zoo!!! That would be cool!! If you fancied a day/night out then you'd be more than welcome to come too!!

It is certainly a familiar image!

Fantastic news about the dress size!! I am still wearing the same clothes (18) but they are definitely getting looser (comfortable!) - If last year is anything to go by then I should be a sz 16 - well at least fit into some - by the time I get my 1.5 st.

HAHA!

I can call it a septuple now then (or is it heptuple)...one is greek and the other latin I'm not sure which way round now!

1. 1.5 st
2. 10%
3. Back to lowest weight of 2010
4. Into the 170's with my morning weights
5. Into the 12 st somethings with morning weights
6. Move from obese to overweight
7. Fit in to size 16s

:D:D:D:D:D:D
