GREEN DAYS ONLY - systemas diary

Despite the heavy rain today it has been good - I have found some Wholemeal Bread Rolls :banana dancer: they only had 10 so they are in the freezer.

Also bought an electric pressure cooker the other day as I can't do without my beans, lentils and jacket potatoes. By my reckoning it cost me the same as 20 bottles of wine (which is cheap anyway) which I will not be drinking now I am back on SW so they cancel each other out - my excuse and I am sticking to it.

.

Well that joy was short lived - decided the roll was too big so cut some off it which my OH ate then I sat down to eat my Dinner, bit into the bread roll and it was full of custard :d'oh: something lost in translation there - anybody want 9 custard filled bread rolls.:D

Wow your diary has some lovely meals in :) subscribing!

Thank you.

I am surprised you found any pasta -
meals as usual look lovely you are doing so well with the limited options available to you
and look at all those steps again
enjoy what is left of your day - I suppose its evening now :)

We have just got back from shopping and there seems to be lots more choice now in the supermarket - it was TET (new year) holiday recently and most of the shops close for about 10 days. (no Tesco opening hours here :)) They almost empty the shops of everything but bottles, tins and jars before closing and it takes a long time to get them filled back up, now the shelves are full again and today found some Brown Rice Noodles and the nice Veggie Stock Cubes we have had before.
OH is now tucking in to choccie biscuits very much like Wagon Wheels.

that does look nice
I would leave out the peppers cooked they are nasty horrible things :):) I put green peppers in a chilli but I cook the chilli and stir through green pepper right before serving so they get warm but are still crunchy - I dont know why I dont like them cooked but I dont

sleep well :):)

This was yesterday's bargain - just looked on Tesco website and they are £2.55 - these were 15p !!!!

Jane that took you ages :):)

I am glad the shops are now better stocked - it will make quite a difference to your meals - I love brown rice noodles-I often by rice based pasta from the healthfood shop as its better for me than the wheat flour - that seems to upset my system if I have too much of it

hope your weather has been good and no more storms

sent you a linky to Janes page ;)

Brown rice noodles sound lovely - I love wholegrain pasta/rice/noodles, they have so much more flavour? Can you get soba noodles there, there are gorgeous! Glad you've got a bit more choice now, your dinners can only get more interesting and they are already gorgeous looking!

Hi - looked at the jewellery - it is lovely and so cheap. Where do you buy the Pandora bracelts from, never seen those although I have not been on that selling place for a long time.

Thank you, seem to be putting Tofu into everything at the moment as we have discovered some that tastes like custard - it is yummy if you can say that about Tofu :)
Lots of thin white rice noodles - not found soba noodles but will have a look for them. Having the brown noodles tonight (with marinaded tofu) so will let you know what they are like - no cooking just soak for 4 mins.

Custard tofu? Wow - that sounds really nice if a little bizarre! I have to say, I do love alpro custard in a carton lol ;)

Custard tofu? Wow - that sounds really nice if a little bizarre! I have to say, I do love alpro custard in a carton lol ;)

It actually tastes like those Alpro puddings in the little pots and the only difference between this one and the regular tofu is that it has egg in it so no syns. We have just been saying we could mix some chocolate drink powder into it and put it on fruit. Don't have any at the moment but will photograph it when we buy some more. It comes in plastic tubes like a big fat sausage and is quite soft.
Can get different foods but the problem is we only have 2 pans, a chopping board and 2 knives - no mixers, blenders or choppers and no oven only 2 gas rings. That is why I bought the pressure cooker.
