Half marathon training

Run 3 week 2 done! Yay! 40 minutes and did 3.3 miles! So pleased!! Only been running three times a week as I find a Friday run really difficult to get in!

Haven't seen the Hal higdon plan will have to check it out, only got 10 weeks now though! Haven't changed my diet (eating junk food) and started losing some weight so maybe I should sort myself out!

First outdoor run tomorrow at 8.30 am sharp! I bet I really struggle after a, being my first outdoor run in about 6 months and b, the fact that I haven't on the treadmill for 3 weeks!

ooh.... its my 2nd half marathon in 2 monthes! :D

:( which one was you wanting to do jenny?

Finally decided to apply for a half marathon and it's fully booked :-(

Oh no Jenny, that's such a shame. Now that you've got in in your mind you are going to do one, is there another one which you could do instead?

Not as handy as being down the road! Have decided to do my own half marathon, gonna choose a date in March and tell everyone so I definitely do it! :)

If you don't mind waiting longer Cardiff half is in October and that's not too far from Bristol.

Bristol half is September so if I haven't managed one I will do that. I really wanted a March/April one, will keep my eyes open. I need to get out and start tho, haven't been out since eating way too much christmas food! :)

Runners world website is often pretty good if your looking for events.

I am going to sign up to the Edinburgh half marathon at the end of May, i am not sure what scares me the most attempting to run in public, it killing me :) (maybe not killing but seriously hurting) or not actually completing it.

can anyone suggest any tips for this 17stone girl to start.

Thanks
