Back to it today. Still haven't fully figured out my a TDEE, but aiming for 1800 today, we shall see :)

Is there a Calculator online which you could use to work it out? X
 
Yes there are a few calculators - I found a very thorough one that I haven't got up the pep to use yet!

News on ankle - tried and failed at work today - 7 days off :( That also means my dreams of joining the gym this week seems impossible !

At least you save yourself the gym joining money for a little while, every cloud and all that :) x Plus with 7 days off work u get to frequent Minimins all you want! X
 
Glad you had a great time in Prague and the ankle didn't affect things too much. A shame you are struggling now though. But far better getting in the way of work rather than holiday!

I've message you with the TDEE spreahsheet, sorry for the delay. Excited to see how you get on with it. I seem to have started a mini-trend on here at the moment! There's now 4 or 5 people doing TDEE approach.
 
Go TDEE!! Just about to try the link on my actual computer now atomic - my phone ain't that smart!

I'm hoping to be back at work (kind of) before the 7 days - I'll miss tomorrow obviously & then not due back till Monday. If it's feeling better I'll go in....I think!! I never take time sick, the only time I've taken time off work before is as a result of whiplash - when my body truly gives out!!!

So seeing as I can't move much I will allow for that this week - although I think I will try & get some swimming in, once my cossie has arrived :p
 
Right so I've got through the epic spreadsheet - thanks atomic :) Lots of measuring. It's guesstimated my body fat at 31.6% which if it's true I'd be quite pleased with!!

SO, for my regular week my TDEE is 2027 that's based on work, average of 1hr walking a day, cycling to & from work & 2 jogging sessions.

This week however, no work, no walking, no other exercise :( TDEE = 1681

My BMR is 1295, so I have to keep above 1300 cals to be sensible....a lot of my 29pp days aren't even as much as that!

I'm not going to do the deficit this week as that puts me down to 1500, so I'll aim for 1680 until I'm back at work.

Once I'm fighting fit & gyming it I'll reassess TDEE as it SHOULD go up!!
 
Wednesday 25/09

B - weetabix & skimmed milk, half nature valley bar
L - chicken chipotle wrap, quavers, apple
S - grapes, graze lemon cake
D - chilli chicken & veg in soft cheese & creme fraiche sauce with pasta
S - half Chelsea bun - leftover from feeling too bloated yesterday to eat it!!
Total: 1579

So not the 1680 I'm allowed but at this time there's no point stuffing it in for the sake of it!

I'm ok thanks - that's what's frustrating being incapacitated when I actually feel fine. I'm not sleeping brilliantly because the ankles sort if 'lightly' throbbing, I try to keep it elevated in the night, but it's time for ice!!
 
I haven't actually - I need to get to a chemist today as I need a proper tubigrip as strapping it is a pain!! My mum is a massive fan of arnica too - must be a maternal thing!!! The healing factor - thanks for the tip :)

I am a massive fan. When I was a teenager at work a friend dropped a pot of tea on my foot, I tried everything to heal the burn and Arnica burns cream was the only thing that gave any relief, I don't even have a scar now

I use the 'Instant Ice' and 'Instant Heat' from 99p Stores, find them fantastic! X
 
Food for yesterday looks yummy. Like the sound of the chipotle chicken wrap. Mmmmmm. I have chipotle chillies :)

The results of the spreadsheet are really interesting, can't believe how much difference there is between your TDEE this week and normal, just goes to show how much of an impact activity has on our bodies doesn't it? Interesting about the body fat estimate. Mine comes out at 32% from their calculations, given the big difference in our weights its interesting that they aren't that far apart.
 
It's all to do with inches I guess, my thighs are the size of most men's! No joke, it's not me being silly, they really are large. I have wide hips too, according to my inches I should be a size 14-16, but fit most 12's. I reckon my fat would in reality be higher. I saw a programme once comparing 2 women, one a size 8 & the other a 14, skinny minny didn't really exercise just watched her food & normal lady did exercise, both were the same body fat, I think it have the skinny a kick up the arse to exercise more!!
