Hazel's rough food diary

Hello all. I haven't been on in ages! I wonder if anyone still remembers me?

Well a lot has been happening in my life. New year was horrid. Hubby treated me badly and then after my son's birthday, he left me. I was a mess. In pieces. Didn't eat. Lost 10 pound in 10 days sort of thing. After a couple of weeks he came back. Things are a lot better. I think he had to go to realise what he had lost. He is away now to Australia touring and going to be away a lot now so figured I better get my diet back on track. Since I started eating again, I have just been eating anything I fancied so have put a bit back on that I lost over when he left me. Still better than I was though.

Sooo, I have a lot of catching up to do, stats to change etc and meals to plan. Any encouragement in this dept is definitely welcome.

Cause they're yum? I do the same with cookies. Don't forget, that's what your syns are there for. You can still have the m&ms, just syn them accordingly. I'm having trouble getting my head back round that too, but its allllll allowed, just in moderation :)
 
Hi all I'm tentatively back after gaining all I had previously lost. I have had an interesting year - good and bad in many ways. All my details are wrong so please ignore ticker stuff till I can get going again. Really need some motivation to get going again. First call was to come back on here so that says a lot doesn't it. Hope to see some old peeps as well as new. Need to remember all those lovely recipes again.

Okay so making some steps to start back on plan as of Monday. I am about to go shopping and trying to think of meal ideas esp lunch ideas that i can take to work that will be no hassle as I don't get time in the mornings to make things up. I am thinking about making some quiches the night before or even the savoury rices the night before and taking them in cold.

So ideas are so far:
Cottage cheese quiche
pasta n sauce quiche
parmesan chicken with coleslaw
chilli
I'm getting really stuck for ideas!!!! I used to do loads of things with garlic in but I don't want to be breathing on everyone at work so that rules out most of my usual staples. Eeek I am off to have a browse and get some inspiration.

Have added Stroppy Fellow Pasta to to this weeks ideas. Have just been and done a biggish shop. Have bought a load of mugshots - yack yack for my lunches. Couldn't find the chicken pasta ones though.

Aims this week:

Start back on the plan and follow it.
Drink lots of water.
Think of alternative snacks for evenings. (Hummous and carrot sticks, mushroom pate.)
 
Monday 7th jan


Breakfast - 1 Hifi bar 1/2 heb
Lunch -leftover Parmesan turkey steaks ( 1/2 heb) with carrots, toms, cucumber. Satsuma. Banana.
Tea - stroppy fellow pasta 2 syns
Hea - milk in coffee

Tomorrow it's my boys birthday and we've booked into Frankie n bennies so il save up syns and healthy exs. Prob just have the pasta with olives though which is pretty good.

Tea - Frankie n bennies. Prob go for olives and pasta which is prob about 10 syns but I could knock off six for heb for olive oil. Then some cake. But I'm not too worried as had v few syns the last two days and not officially starting at group till wednesday.

Tea - Frankie n bennies. Prob go for olives and pasta which is prob about 10 syns but I could knock off six for heb for olive oil. Then some cake. But I'm not too worried as had v few syns the last two days and not officially starting at group till wednesday.

Wednesday

Breakfast none but had 2 Heidi rocky roads at break time
Lunch - couscous and ham slices with cucumber tomato and feta cheese
Tea - savoury mince with onions, peppers, mushrooms bit of bisto and slm wrld chips with beetroot and pickles. I am stuffed.
HEA - feta
HEB - Hifi bars
Syns - some mini munchies 10 small piece birthday cake 5 = 15

Got my first class tonight and not sure if hubby will be back in time for me to make it or not. It's my first official weigh in. I did weigh myself the other night and I had lost 2 lbs just in the 3-4 days I'd been doing it so will be interesting what the scales say ESP as I have just had my tea!
 
Ok scales as predicted so I have three stone to lose.
Went shopping today for much needed ingredients and they had no quark!!!!!! So that means the cheese pie is out till I can get some. Really fancied that too. Xxx
 
Breakfast - peanut Hifi bar ( HEB)

Lunch - ham, couscous, toms, cucumber, beetroot, feta cheese (HEA)

Tea - stir fry chicken and veg and noodles in blue dragon black bean sauce (6) but 1 n 1/2 per serving.

Syns today 1,1/2 for sauce.
Drinks fruit tea diet coke water

Good day food wise. Feeling very full and satisfied.

Naffed off with doctors as I was told by nurse last week to book in for blood test to rest thyroid and see if there was any diabetes. Got there and other nurse refused to do them as they hadn't been referred by a doctor!!!! I had to race from work early to get the appointment too. So fed up of that practice. They have messed me about do much. Grrrrrr...

Friday nights I usually have film night with the kids and we normally snack on sweets and rubbish so I'm wondering what I could do instead. Any ideas????
