Helen's quest for good health!

Well done Helen x

We went to Borough Market the other day and I ate a lot but nowhere near as bad as what I used to :)

Helen, I'm so sorry to hear you had a truly rubbish time being subjected to evil bullying by an insecure ar$e wipe and that it triggered a binge but I'm also so pleased for you that you managed to pin point the cause of eating so you could address it. Well done. I have a tough time identifying emotional eating and I'm still at that stage where I can only see it afterwards. But I think when you're the sort of person who usually 'puts a brave face on', it takes a long time to realise we're using food to cope. When I talk about my family etc sometimes, ppl will say to me, 'how have you turned out so normal?' and your post has made me think that actually a lot of my coping is probably linked to food. Anyway. As I say, well done for realising it and for being restrained at the market. I have really appreciated you sharing about this. It's given me a lot to think about, thank you x

Hi Helen

Sorry to read you've had an awful time some people are horrible
Keep strong Helen you are such a lovely lady :)
Glad you have linked your binge I'm sure once we work out why we eat the way we do the easier it is for us to stay on track and you seem to have been able to do that on your trip to the market so out of an awful situations its lovely to get a great positive :)
Take care and have a good week xx

We've still yet to go to Borough Market, when I suggested it to Mark he wasn't keen until I explained what it's like and now he's changed his mind and wants to go!

See you have changed, that's good you ate less than you used to but still had a good time x

Trust me I can't usually pin point it and had it not been for Emma's diary I probably still wouldn't have.

It was a weird feeling but since I've been honest with a few people I find it so much easier to discuss it now.

My best friend doesn't understand though, I told her and she said it was normal and she binges all the time, maybe she does but she doesn't seem to have an issue with food even though she eats crap.. Maybe it's in everyone!

Thanks for your message though as I'm overwhelmed with the support I've got on here x

Urgh nursing a hangover here! On train home after a fab time last night in Soho, far too much to drink and had a McDonalds quarter pounder before we went in.. Bloody boys! Thought we were going for a meal.. That was the meal!! Followed by a kebab afterwards! Need to get back on plan this afternoon.

All I want to do is go home and chill but I have my ex coming round for dinner so actually need to shop, cook and clean..

Went to Primark in Oxford Street again, I think you girls have converted me as I usually hate that shop, only went in to get a Christmas jumper for Mark and came out with a couple of jumpers and a dress for me.. Oops! X

Oh dear

Hope the hangover subsides soon Helen
Nothing worst lol at the stunning meal last night
who needs Heston's when you have Maccy D's
and Mr Stavros

Ohhhhh you little shopperholic you ;)

Ooh I could just munch a kebab! Well, I'd need a few pints first but that wouldn't be too difficult!

Sounds like a good night out chuck, I have to say, I think primarni is fab for basics and the odd top or dress. I go there for all socks, t shirts etc. Ooh and jewellery.

Yeah I agree for basics and stuff you replace often like t shorts. Having said that I find asda or tesco just as good.

Glad you had a top night Helen. Have you stayed out all night or did you stay at a hotel?

Good luck getting everything done this afternoon x

Sorry I really am so bad at getting on here at the moment, I do think about you guys loads but been burning candle at both ends and although I have a quick look at my news feed on Facebook I haven't had time to sit down and have a good read on here.

I was in Tesco at 6am this morning and when Jake woke up at 8am he said "granny Helen why are you already dressed?!", he was very confused bless him as didn't even know I'd been!
He's just left now so today is going to be spent cooking and hopefully relaxing later, with a bit of luck I might be able to finally catch up with you lot! Fingers x'd x

and his Sunday paper and the queues were out the door
Yowsers ......

Well done on getting into Tesco so early! We went yesterday and it was dead but we'd also been to Asda about half hour before which was packed. Very random! You got time off for crimbo Helen?
