Hello :)

:thankyouthankyou:Oh so you've met my Mother then? :8855:

Ha, ha, do you reckon we all turn into a "Mrs. Doyle" eventually :sign0151: All Irish mammys tend to feeders, my family are lethal, they'll tell you the diet is doing great things for me while shoving cake/fat crap in my direction, "ah sure a little it won't kill you"

My bro-inlaw is staying in a lovely gite with it's own private pools and grounds at the moment, it's more south of France though.

We're going to Saint Jean De Monts, near Nantes, in the Loire region. We go every year, it's a lovely sea-side town. My in-laws have a 3 bed apartment right on the beach, just go across a zebra crossing right outside the door & you're on a fabulous beach, ideal area for children. Me & OH might slip away for a day or two on our own, inlaws will love to take charge of the girls. My mother-inlaw is French, from Paris, so OH is fluent in the lingo which is quite handy:)

I'm sure you'll find somewhere suitable for your dogs, the French love their pets. I love labs, my favourite dog, unfortunately I've asthma so pets are a no-no. We have a visiting neighbourhood cat that the girls love & we feed, but technically we're a pet-free home.

That sounds just amazing Issy xxx My husband lived in the South of France working on yachts for the Rich and Famously Rich folks of Monaco pre-ball and chain ;) would love to go there sometime. It makes so much difference when at least one of you can speak the language, we have really had some wonderful experiences over there. I try to learn the language as much as I can....He says that I know a lot of french words but I don't speak them necessarily in the right order! But I must say that my french accent is parfait! :giggle:

Ah the rich & famooose, that wudda been a niiiicce job:D Yeah it's brilliant having a fluent speaker around, makes getting around and whatyou want so much easier. My understanding of french is quite good but my accent is poor and I fell particularly intimidated when everyone else is so fuent & flawless. I really should make a more concious effort though when I'm there to parlez francais ;)

Well done Issywizzywoo! That's fandabbydozey! I want to say jammy git but you've worked hard all week so you deserve it so well done u!

I'm going to attempt swimming tonight, never done the whole swimming lengths before but I've got some childfree time so making the most of it. I'm not the strongest swimmer so hoping I don't embarrass myself!

I want to give virtual hugs to you lot too btw, I think I'd find it a lot lot (yup 2 lots) harder than just going to the meetings and doing it alone. So thank you and here's to us all getting to target. X yay!

Have to say I'm thrilled, just have to not get complacent & keep going. Have two more opportunities for walking so gonna make the most of it.

Well done on the swimming, I'm not a strong swimmer, but kids are doing lessons & my 8yr old does lane swimming, so the day after I started SW I signed up for lessons, was ashamed I couldn't keep up with the girls. It was like boot camp with a sargent major style instructor, had us swimming lenghts in no time, one day he had us in the pool fully clothed and on body boards :) I dreaded each lesson but enjoyed it once it was done, I'm gonna try keep it up in Sept when girls back to school.

I think I will give up classes for a while, see how it goes, if it doesn't I can always go back, but finding it hard to attend with the girls home and in various camps and stuff over the summer, I just weighed in this morning and ran, had to drop girls to camp, so missed class. My group isn't up to much, compared with what I hear of other groups and there's no other group to go to, SW is fairly limited in Ireland. So you guys will be my group:gen126:

Well that's what a group is all about isn't it? Support and advice? On here instead of just one person we have hundreds! Totally cool x :D  How can we fail? X

Happy swimfest Milkshake! Proud of you, for giving it a go :D X

Well, I can't decide if I'm pleased or not! I was doing lengths for almost a hour(very slowly so no where near as much as my friend) they had a massive barrier up so wasn't full lengths and the floor was raised so was all one level not shallow and deep ends, which was slightly annoying as I could keep putting my feet down and walk a few steps when I was dying... Still my arms are tingling so can only be good.....now must resist urge to ring for pizza! X

And yeah its a pain trying to juggle children and still have a life! Well done for doing something about it and having lessons, that must have been tiring being fully clothed!! X x

Well isn't swimming supposed to be good for all over toning, you're prob tired but you can sit back now & be smug that you actually went & did it, so say NO to pizza, evil devil food :angeldevil: God I soooo love pizza. Have you tried the smash pizza, it's quite nice & I make pitta pizzas, kids even like these.

I'll definitely get back to swimming when school restarts, it was an hour a week that was totally mine, because it was in the morning & I had to pay for the full course, I had no excuse not to go, in the evenings I'm too tired to contemplate exercise.

I've made another batch of BBQ sauce, can't live without it & I've tried a tomato chutney recipe, saves all my syns for the naughty stuff.

Nope Ive resisted pizza:ignore: I had a mugshot as wasn't too hungry then it dawned on me I still had an a and b left so poured out my fruit n fibre and realised i'd no milk so poured a fat free strawb yog on for pudding! GO ME!!

Feeling very well behaved this week!! Seeing my sister for first time in 18 months in 10 days time so think that's really helping!

Go you, good use of your Hex's, I sometimes 4get them, that's when I have cheese on toast, nom nom :eating:

Wow your sister will deffo see a difference, something to aim for, could have another couple of lbs off by then.

:cross: I hope so, Might have a sneaky weigh in the morning to see how I'm doing, although sometimes its better not knowing so I have to keep it up.

My eyes are sore from the swimming(serves me right for pretending to be a shark under the water!) So I'm putting the laptop down for the evening. Good luck tomorrow everyone, I want to hear we've all been as good as the teachers pet!!

Don't have a sneaky weigh-in :scale: That's what helped put me off kilter yesterday, we flucuate sooo much it could put you in bad humour if it's not a result you want. Thinking of stashing mine in the attic & just taking it down on Weds mornings to check before I go to group. Otherwise I'm tempted every morning to hop on & torment myself:(

Nite nite Milky, you'll sleep well after your swim.

Afternoon/Evening! I didn't weigh myself this morning, and I've had another good day if dinner stays on track..

How are you all? X

Been in & out of me car all day, it's like a sauna, been ferrying kids around, like a taxi :)

After telling you not to, I had a sneaky weigh-in,I'm DEFFO putting the bloody scales in the attic,I'm up 2lb this morning according to it, would put you in bad form but I didn't let it.

Went on a 10k walk in the sweltering heat, had fruit for Brekkie & ham egg salad for lunch, might have beef or chicken stirfry with noodles for dinner.

Went to a bbq & took my own meat-free burgers, syn free relish & wholemeal buns. Have spent 10.5syns, so thats it for the day.

Howse your day going? Did you have a good sleep last nite?

I did! And for some reason Colin slept in this morning so I had the longest lay in I've had since I had him! 7.45 get in!!

God that was a walk and a half! Well done! And in this heat! How's that for will power coz most would use the heat as a excuse!

Well done on taking your own stuff to the BBQ, did u take ure sauce as well?! I'm going to make that tomo I've just decided! X

Hey all! Had lovely piece of lemon sole with broccoli and sautéed new potatoes sw style, so full now. :D Managed to get some time off during the next couple of weeks! Hopefully this lovely weather will hold out. So pleased to see that we are all doing well. :D I think maybe your gain Issy might be due to water retention, I get it when I don't have enough fluids. You can get water tablets for that. So no more sneaky weighs you're really in the zone now.

It makes me smile milkshake that you chose a fictional name Colin one of our cats is called Colin and she's lovely. Yes I said she I got it really wrong when she was a kitten found out the hard way when she had her kittens! Well have a wonderful evening all xxx

I got water balance tablets to help with the water retention, so here's hoping. Still gonna stash the scales, it's playing mind games.

Your fish dish sounds lovely Sijack, I must try to eat more fish, I bought plain cod, gonna jazz it up with soy sauce, garlic & ginger over the weekend. Great you got time off organised, anything planned :)
