Hello :)

Crap sorry I forgot to do the quotes! X

I saw a recipe for a syn free lasagne the other night, looked lush, must try and find it.

Girls love pizza, but sure hubbys here tonight to deal with any leftovers, I should be safe ;)

I'm having chicken, chips and salad tonite. Have to go tidy all the ironing outta the garden first:)

I suppose its just the white sauce that we'd need to find an alternative? Or would it be totally not traditional?

:D I'm picturing random coat hangers in trees and knickers on branches!

Slimming World friendly PIZZA!!!!

Okay so for this "recipe" you will need:

1 Asda Wholemeal Pitta Bread
2 tbsp tomato puree (1 syn) OR passate (free!)
Light Mozzarella Cheese
toppings of your choice: I went with red pepper!

Put in the oven and voila - a SW-friendly family meal - throw in some homemade spicy wedges and you have yourself a

Can be used on an EE day, in which case feel free to throw on some diced ham/bacon/chicken topping mmm. Or keep it simple on a Green Day with veg!

Found this on this site thought it may help with your craving girls? Xx:character00254::eating:

Hi guys, I'm just a newbie, started SW on Thursday so any tips would be appreciated. This seems to be a great place to get motivated though.

Good luck everyone :)

Hello wonderfish :welcome: very pleased to meet you! How are you finding it so far? X

Hi there,

Bit tricky tbh. Not used to all the cooking, but I'm kind of liking that (just not the washing up!) and not used to eating so much. I think I was working on the basis that less is what makes you lose weight, but it doesn't so this is an entirely new technique!

How are you getting on? :)

hello everyone and to all the other new comers :p

Its sat night and were allowed a treat for tea :D mine was mini lasagne and was yum indeedy lol

Welcome back 13.2 stone and congrats on the weight loss! Always feels good when you move into a lower stone number! Sounds like it's going well for you?

WHY HAVE I NEVER THOUGHT OF DOING THAT BEFORE??!!

I've heard of one made with smash as the base...but that sounds nasty!!!

I know it's fantastic the choice that you get on this diet isn't it? Would be very surprised if you ever feel hungry on it. I'm not doing too bad. I'm really enjoying it :D are you going to a group? X

Smash as in mashed potato? Not sure how that would fare as a pizza base! I had someone tell me to use gammon rounds as a base, quite fancy trying that for myself, just because I love gammon and pineapple! :)

NOOOOO! Stay away from smash makes me shudder just to think of it. Anyway let me know how it turns out if you decide to do it. Xx

I am, went to the first one on Thursday and it was really friendly. Didn't know what to expect but think I've made a good choice. I needed the motivation to do it and I got it a few weeks ago when life gave me a massive kick in the teeth so I've set myself a 6 month challenge to make some positive changes and get my confidence back! And a forum like this is a definite bonus - I only came across it earlier while looking for syn free garlic mayo!! (Which was lush!!) :)

We all get to the point when things need to change. This is the second time around with slimming world for me. The first time was back in 2009 I got to target but stupidly I went back to old eating habits and put the all back on. :( I try to think of it as this is the way I eat rather than a diet. Start simple with the recipes like making sauces and getting used to mixing and matching your free foods. Best thing about it is that there's not too much faffing around with weighing stuff. There's so much on this site to guide you through.

Yeah its what my sw lady told me when I went before! Instant mash as a base on oven tray and bake them..cant help but think it would be rank..

It's like she doesn't want you to enjoy your food :whoopass: glad you didn't try it you might have thought if this is type of food I'm gonna eat you can stick it! X did you manage a syn free day today?

This is one recipe I love, also coz kids will eat it, I sprinkle oregano on the puree, load on the veg & meat & jalapeno's. Often have this as a treat at nite if I've not used up my Hex's, pitta is HexB & 30g mozzerella & 150ml of skim milk is usually my HexA of choice, how do you use yours??

I've tried it & it was good, deffo do it again, you don't make the smash too liquidy, more to a doughy consistency & I added herbs into the base mixture, piled it high with veg & stuff, had it with a side salad, so didn't bother synning it, though some sticklers will say you have to.
