Help needed for 1st day......

What gas mark is that? lol

I usually do gas mark 5 for up to an hr...but keeping an eye on it, turning it etc during that time

I've just popped to asda, forgot a few things at morrisons earlier so hopefully they don't have too much to tempt me hehe

Still to try chorizo....doesn't look appealing, what's it like?

Cooking a few things will be good for through the week :)

Oooh, did I tell you the following is back on tues (probably?!) can't wait!!!x

It's probably been in about an hour now and I keep checking it but I think it's still got a little way to go to make sure the middle is cooked.

Have you toasted it before?! I reckon it would be nice toasted with the 'cheese' on top as a syn free snack! The cannelloni is prepared and ready to go in once the dahl has finished (it's a higher oven temp).

I've decided not to make the pasta bake today as I'll make a risotto on Tuesday and there will
Be leftovers of that to freeze.

We haven't watched the following before?! What's it about?

Yeah it still crumbled lol. I've turned it upside down and put it back in for a while just to crisp it up but it's gonna be bites here and there for it rather than slices. Lol.

Really tasty though!

So glad you like it....you know it's my saviour for quick bite snack to take to work!

Not toasted it but I used to make it in the muffin tin until it just wouldn't stop sticking...those were handy but I just make a big one and cut it up

Sorry, I thought you watched the following....it's about a guy trying to get back at a cop(kevin bacon) but has a cult working for him going on killing sprees etc...can be a bit scary (but I'm a woos and anti horror lol) but it's brill'

Try get the 1st series...we cannot wait til Tuesday now!

Went for a nosey at primark before I goto asda then got hungry so I'm sitting in Burger King, "with you" and my sw friendly kids meal lol
It's 3 wee bits of chicken, a bag of Apple and a diet coke...filled a hole and now I'm ready to shop without wanting cakes lol x

Ooh well done you for being so angelic!! :) you having a proper meal once you get in!?

I need to shred before I eat dinner (the thought of it is becoming a massive chore but today is day 10!!) I'm hoping that the change to level two
Tomorrow will renew my interest in it and not kill me too much.

Gonna get it over with RIGHT NOW!!!

You're the angelic one ;) lol

Yeah, it's late now and I'm just heading home...my boys will be starving! Not sure I want the pork chops now...might see what else I can have- got a HEb left too..successful red day!

The chicken things were nice, but I'm peckish now so they didn't do much...but at least it was on plan...if I don't have a loss tomorrow there will be murder! Pmsl

Spent a fortune in asda...too many £1/50p offers to turn down...have no idea where I'm putting all the stuff but worth getting anyway!
They had trial packs if quorn stuff for £1..mince and chicken which I got and some other stuff..great for ppl to try eh

but OMG...no chickpea dahl...and no where to be seen :( this is not good news for me...i'll need to get on this problem and hope it's short term!! x

O.M.G!! The gammon was amazing! I should def do that more often :)

How annoying about the dahl! Can you pick some up anywhere else to make up tomorrow!?

I've just had to give bf a good talking to for eating my hifi bars!! AND my Special K biscuit moments. Although I don't think it worked as I can hear him rummaging in the kitchen! Grr lol

Ooh he's a bum! Lol

Where was the gammon recipe from?

Got 2 tins of Dahl here but I've never seen it anywhere else...do you know if there are syns in the tesco one? Not that I've seen it but I better get on the look out in case asda have ditched theirs!??!? :( x

As far as I know the only one with syns in the one from sainsburys. People have been talking about it recently in the bargains thread.

My sister made the gammon once ages ago so I stole her recipe. Literally cooked the joint for an hour, then carved it and laid it on a baking tray and drizzled it with honey and popped it back in for about 10 mins. Easy peasy and not many syns.

We were in a rush this morning so I haven't taken out the mince for dinner - lasagne tonight so I'll have to defrost it quickly in the microwave once I get home. Grr.

I haven't lost any weight this week either so double grr. I followed plan 100% so not sure what's going on there but oh well. Dare I ask how you did?!

aww that's so annoying...i've not been yet...but going soon so will find out. on the plus side, it wasn't a gain....but i'll be miffed with a STS after 3 100% weeks!!

maybe you got a loss for the 2 of us last week...and it's my turn this week? lol

i'm gonna make sticky chicken tonight, been thinking i could add wee strips of carrot and spring onion...hope it's as nice as it looks (got the recipe from texty on the dinner thread the other week)

i'll have a look in tesco for their dahl when i'm down, but i'm pretty sure i've looked before :-/

didn't make quiche last week so might do one today, along with the usual "essentials"

done lots of EE days recently and my red day yesterday....so hoping that might have helped a bit. just been more prepared with dinners/been cooking more so that's the only reason really, plus i was out for dinner last tuesday where i'd usually do green....can only wait and see eh

the gammon sounds lovely, i'm not that keen on the taste of honey on it's own (but using it tonight in dinner!) but sometimes you can't taste it as much when it's mixed with lots of things....or at least i'm hoping lol

will post once i've been to get weighed....eeeek! lol x

Think I might try and get a few more red days in if this week is no different come weigh in. I've been doing more green but that won't be the reason. I've also even exercising so I could potentially have gained muscle but I'm just going to forget about it and carry on as I have been.

Good luck hun - got everything crossed for you! Let me know!!

Sticky chicken with spring onions and carrots sounds really nice!! I'm planning chicken tomorrow so maybe I could turn that into a red day and skip the noodles!?

2 off for me....thought it might've been more but it's a loss...and it's going in the right direction!

couldn't find the dahl...or the sweet chilli cottage cheese which is free now (tesco healthy choice) - my tesco is rubbish!

your exercising could be the reason you've sts...bet you see a loss next week - but i say carry on as you have been, i suppose in the long run it's better...it's just hard cos we want lbs off EVERY week!

made my rice, soup, boiled eggs and the dahl's in the oven. made the 1/2 syn roulade again but it's not been in long enough and is all mushy - but i can't put it in again as i spread raspberry yog in it and raspberries then rolled it...aww well! x

well done! :) really pleased you had a loss! Our bodies do some stupid things sometimes and we just need to wait and be patient to see our hard work paying off!

I have looked at my list of dinners for the week and I reckon i can get 2 red days in so that might help.

Could you do a shop online to order some bits in? It would only be worth it if you have lots of stuff to buy as you will prob have to pay for delivery. I think I have enough stuff in to last us til payday with the exception of some fruit/veg maybe so will wait and stock up once I get paid.

shame about the roulade. Is it edible or not really?! I havent really made many puddings while i have been on SW. My philosophy has been to use syns and have something 'proper' but i should look through the recipes - might be worth trying some!

i'd eat it...but i dunno if it would give me a dodgy tummy?

i've turned the oven off now cos the dahl is cooked...and just wrapped the roulade up in greaseproof paper and sat it in while it cools down...dunno if it'll help?

other than the ferrero rocher, i've not tried anything else...it doesn't taste like cake or anything, but i suppose when you break it down, it's just eggs and cheese so having a piece for breakfast isn't too bad?

i've never done an online shop...i'm too fussy when it comes to picking my own fresh stuff for dates etc. but we're pretty much the same re food in the house, got more than enough to last, it'll just be the fridgy stuff/bread/milk that we'll need...although that means nothing when i get to a supermarket lol x

the funny thing about online shopping is getting your quantities right - or you end up with tons of veg as you bought too much lol. its always really fresh (they have to by law I think) but i understand what you mean. Im fussy when it comes to meat and fish online! Much rather buy it in store.

I found a nice recipe for some SW brownies that I might try. It's one i have heard of before and might be good for a change of sweet things. They are only half a syn each (small bitesized pieces) so i could bring one or two to work to have with a cuppa in the afternoon which would be a nice low syn treat. Plus my sister is having a girls night in the next week or so - if these turn out ok I could take some to that as well!

I have just looked up how many syns the pastry sheet i bought was - turns out i picked up the wrong one to make my steak and mushroom pie with and its 60 SYNS!!!! That is going straight back to the shop!! Either that or i will have to get rid of it at the party as well by making something with it and steering well clear!!!!!

Thank god i checked i had the right (or should that be wrong) one! Imagine if i had eaten that!!!!

ooops! good job you noticed!

i forgot about the brownies...i did those, but seeing as i don't like dark chocolate, i wasn't keen on the cocoa so now have a full tub minus a few grams!

not really eaten proper meals so far today, had a mouthful of this or that as i've been cooking but i know i'll get to a point where i'm super hungry and regretting it!

my dahl loaf turned out beautifully and came out the dish without turning in to a mess...almost all of it anyway hehe

how's your day going so far?

how has your sister been getting on? x

How long did you cook the dahl loaf for to make it come out perfectly!?

I'm a big chocolate fan so I'm gonna give the brownies a whirl providing I have all the ingredients in - think I do! Although the recipe does call for a worrying about of sweetener!? 150g is two tubs apparently!! Might try just using less and see how it turns out!

My day has been ok - long meeting this afternoon that I didn't really need to go to so I'm knackered now lol. And dreading level two of the shred tonight!!

My sister is getting on ok - she is 1lb off half a stone I think but she keeps having to travel for work and it's making it really hard on her to follow the plan properly. She is away tonight I think so not sure if she is weighing at another group or just not going this time.

How was your day!?

Aww what a shame work things are putting a spanner in the works for her....but sticking to it as much as she can, when she can will still help.

Level 2....eek! Eurgh I hide in shame - honestly! lol

I cooked it for an hr (checked the time as I was going) and turned it every now and then. I left if sitting for ages while I faffed about then gently eased it out in pieces...I love it warm...a Monday is the only day I get a bite like that cos it's fridged then eaten cold the rest of the week.

I also prefer the beef rice with it over the curry one.

Just at footy the now, home to make this sticky chicken. Was looking at their memberships cos I thought right, I'm saving £5 a week not going to class so adds up and I could go when he's in...,but it's still much more a month for the one i'd need (due to entry times etc) so it's been nothing more than a thought! Lol

Might make extra rice tonight to use in "fried" rice as I've not had that for a while. Fancied noodles but will try it with rice 1st.
Been reading thru my diary as I wait to look back at foods I made and losses I had...still pretty much the same food wise lol...just as well I like the stuff eh!x

The recipe I just looked at from slimming eats says to fill a measuring jug up to 150ml and use that amount. That seems a lot better lol.

Masterchef inspired us both tonight so bf went shopping and bought me all the stuff to make it tomorrow night. Bf is currently making a caramel cheesecake lol. Just as well I don't like cheesecake eh!?
