I really dont know what to do

Things I am grateful for today

  • being literate - it means I can read this board - and respond to others being literate means so many ways of communication are open to us
  • a beautiful cooler morning - with not a shower cloud in sight - might get to work in the dry
  • flowers - I have some lovely flowers I got yesterday DH left some money and told me to get myself a treat for work yesterday - he thought I would by a magazine or a book :):)
Well who knows what today will bring - I am hoping it will again bring sensible clean eating (so far this week I have been very good - most likely should be polishing a halo)

only a half day for me today and a busy afternoon planned of making the last few collars so everything is ready for Sunday

OH and I need to check up on the fleece I ordered from the organic place - I really need to get on and do that

food well after strawberries for breakfast lunch will be whatever I can find
most likely a huge veggie frittata and dinner will be free from pasta - if its as chewy as the free from pitta breads we wont be having that again
I will serve that with homemade organic pesto and oven roasted tomatoes and dry fried mushrooms

hope you all have great days :)

H xx

I love your positive attitude

Iwas sad yesterday as it was my mam's birthday and she is no longer with us in person. But I spent the day with all my family and loved seeing everyone of them
Irene x

Irene you might have been sad
but you do have the next generation and the one after that - so although a loss is hard you too have MUCH to celebrate

I hope you gave each baby a hug from me :):)

Morning. Sounding bright, positive and cheery again this morning.

Not sure what could be causing the stall in your weight loss as you seem to be following all the rules....bodies are a nightmare sometimes.

Hope this week brings a result. xx

1/2lb a week in the long run will be very beneficial to you... the slower it comes off the less likely it is to go back on... I am now averaging 1/2lb a week. It was a lot more before, like 2-3lbs but now it's slowed right down.... I do winge about it sometimes but I also think that it's the best thing in the long run :) x

Glad you've returned ..now don't be getting down you will get beyond that plateau

Good luck

M

H,just wanted to drop by and give you some encouragement!

Also wanted to say i love your 'count your blessing'posts-makes me think about mine even if i dont post them!!

Thank you so much for the visits they do help me stay with the 'clean eating'

Today I am grateful for

  • The ability to bring happiness to others
  • good friends to help you plan
  • my computer - without it I would not be able to make good labels for the stuff to sell on Sunday
  • My laminator - we are due rain on Sunday :)
Today I have arranged another walk with E and the boys

we are going to take the bus to the next town - do the shops there then walk back along the cycle track
(it will be the same 9 mile walk I did last time with her)
Hopefully DH will leave work early enough to meet us with the dogs on the way back
I am to phone him at Blackdog bridge - just under halfway back and hopefully he will be home and put the dogs in the car and then walk from our end to meet us along the track

have had homemade organic muesli and homemade yog (goats milk) for breakfast - dont think I will bother with the yog again its not that nice - perhaps that is because I dont like milk either cows or goats :):)

but it was worth a try - the dogs love it and is full of good bacteria - so cant harm them

right off to do the laminating

Hiya H :)
You have a busy day ahead, enjoy your walk it sounds lovely.
Hmm muesli think im gonna go and nik some of OH's i havent had breki yet, dont usually have muesli but i just fancy some now...

If its gonna rain on sunday i am sooooooo glad i bought a pink wig for my RFL event...my fuzzy hair does not do rain :badmood:...LOL
have a nice day xx

My straight hair doesnt do rain either - it looks like rats tails :):)
maybe I should have got a purple wig seeing as everything has purple ribbons on it and I have done lilac labels
:):)

hopefully it will look nice

well E has a double buggy which we dont take and a silver cross pushchair with a buggy board on so I push that and E laughs

well she doesnt laugh but I am not that good at steering over the rough ground - I must really be getting the activity points on theses days the pedometer says I got 7 last time for the whole day - but that doesnt take account 2.5 year old a 1.5 year old and a silver cross pushchair

right I am off or I will be late - meeting at the railway station - to catch the bus the the walk around the town and walking back
it will be a great afternoon spent in REALLY good company and in the fresh air the whole afternoon will cost us very little - that makes it even better :):)

Today i am grateful that the chemist accidentaly gave me 2 inhalers when i had only paid for one, and that MrB says i can buy a new mobile phone since mine is driving me crazy with frustation. not tradional blessings i grant you !!

HAve a great day H, enjoy your walk

Hey Jane read some of mine they are hardly traditional either
afterall a food processor is a necessity in this house but hardly traditional - but I draw the line at making houmous from scratch with a fork :):)

Todays list

  • the fact that although my knees hurt I CAN still walk a distance
  • dried fruit - to sustain me on the walk
  • a good nights sleep
the last is said with real meaning - my knees hurt so much by bedtime that after an hour I couldnt get comfy so came down stairs to dose up on painkillers
then went back to bed and eventually slept

I should add my DH to the above list simply as he is going to go up in the loft and retrieve the gazebo and the tables etc for the stall tomorrow
although I can do it - its going to hurt the knees

well yesterdays eating went to plan - I got on the scales for the first time in a week this morning and weigh half a pound less than last time - so hopefully it will start a downward trend - we will find out after weigh in on Monday
I am not holding out much hope BUT eating the way I have been I feel better
I will be going to the doctors when she returns
I have a few things I want to check out
firstly the pain in my knees - perhaps time for another steroid injection (last time was Feb)
the water retention
headaches - like bad ones and so often
tiredness - real tiredness
and if she can help me with the weight issue

I am seriously wondering if I am b12 deficient - thats quite easy for vegans/vegetarians BUT it can take years to show up its only available from animal protein sources and fortified foods
well I dont eat animal protein - often no milk and very little cheese - I dont like eggs either
and I have not eaten fortified foods very often in the last 20+ years I have been a vegetarian

I do feel a fraud coming on minis - it is a weight loss forum afterall and I dont have a weight loss - but I AM maintaining my weight so it could be MUCH worse I could be putting on if I wasnt keeping to points

if I havent lost this week I might have a couple of really high days next week and then be lower the rest of the week - partly to shake the body up and partly because I have to admit to becoming bored and demotivated - oh well lets see what the rest of the day brings - off to tescos later :):)

Oooooh I share your pain with the knees how is it that they have chosen the summer to flare up again, mine have just had to have the steroid injections (ouch) and back on painkillers big time to sleep. I hope you enjpy your weekend it sounds great. I'm also keeping everything crossed for aloss for you this week

Take care

M

Thank you and not too happy to know I am not the only one with dodgy knees

well today I am grateful for

  • the sunshine - which did eventually show its face after high winds and horrendous rain for a bit
  • people who will spend money for their dogs - and so help me take about 200 quid today for the rescue
  • lovely lovely people :)
well quite a list today all based on the doggy event we went to - had a great day met loads of lovely people and managed to make some money to help the rescue

OH and I am also grateful for

  • SHEILA - she is my new sat nav- now apart from the fact she thinks we want to go out of our way just to use the motor way she was very good for us today - and quickly recalculates to let us know where to go
    - now she is much better than my dh at map reading and she saves me doing it :)
right off to find something to eat - the dogs are fed and are now asleep :)

SO what am I grateful for today

  • My meeting - yes its weigh in day and although I havent been losing - if I didnt go I am sure I would be putting on
  • My doctors surgery (well I better be) - my daughter has swine flu (prayers please - and good thoughts) she is a teacher in another town and got it from one of her pupils - problem is she is a chronic asthmatic so complications-as soon as surgery opens she will phone them get a script and I will fetch it - she tells me she is quarantined-and I will have to post it through the door - like hell I will she might be 26 but she is my baby and I do have a key :):) But no hugs and I will only talk to her from the hallway - I have a right to see her :):)
  • co-drydamol and 600mg of ibuprofen (even if the latter are like horse pills) sore knees but I eventually slept
I will be back to report on my meeting and on my daughter later

but please everyone keep her in your thoughts - I am probably more worried than I need to be - but she is my baby and I do love her :):)

Aww H i am soooooooooo sorry to hear about your DD,i do hope she gets better very quickly .
Good luck for your WI today.

Thanks again for sponsoring me,i did walk as fast as i possibly could without it turning into a little jog!!
Take care xx

Fuzzy you are SO welcome to the sponsorship money
how much did you raise in the end - not that it matters as it all adds up

and thank you for the good wishes for me and my daughter :):)

Hi H
