IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, try try try again and again (and again...)

Tell me - cos it sounds as if you know what you're talking about, whereas my last visit of the Victory was when I was at school (err about 5 years ago), and the Mary Rose wasn't there. We'll be going with two children. Boy of 5, girl of 11. Is it child friendly? Cos, at £20 each, if they're gonna whine and whinge, I could well lose a straggler accidentally overboard!

We went a few years ago and my DS loved it - but he is a history fanatic. DD was ok - didn't whinge too much. There is a really good interactive bit for them. Nearer the time google for money off or two for one or free kid vouchers - I can do it for you if you remind me.

Hello you! I trot round other people's diaries when I can but I don't seem to have much to say in my own! It's all too easy at the moment. Weight isn't budging but I'm walking loads, eating Dukan, so I can't do more than that!

Hey that sounds like me only I generally have nothing to say to others either :) and my Stab is just ticking over, sort of, I don't feel I need to share every day. Especially not the 'bad' bits... they can be summarised when I know the outcome on Friday!

Glad to hear that the return to Dukan proper is still working for you and you *know* that you will reap the rewards at some point soon! Go easy on those berries...

Thanks Anja yes - no fear of my going OTT on the berries, cos that'd mean having to forego my lovely fishy ones. I've promised the other half that I'll split a mix of muffins on Sunday - half for me (gojis) and the other half for him (Emmental cheese - he's always wanted some!).

Neither of us have liked any of the sweet muffins we've tried in the past, so the gojis may be no exception and I'll use them as a handful of "nibbles" on a Saturday evening perhaps!

I've just remembered something to tell my diary. A bit of background - My other half didn't know me REALLY big, but bigger than I am now, and has already let me know more than once that he finds me more FUN when I'm "eating" (let's say) than when I'm dieting. Anyway, he is very supportive on the whole but occasionally "forgets".

Take this Sunday - I forced him (ok I admit it) to come out for a walk on a cold morning. Well I walked nearly 6km, he took the bus to meet me, then we walked around together for an hour or so visiting an area I don't know well. We stopped for a coffee. I gave him the chocolate they gave us with the coffee. Lovely. We decided to go home because it was cold. On the way home, he considerately asked whether it would bother me if he bought some bread. "Nope", I replied, and even stoically stood in the queue at the baker's watching all the fresh loaves come out... in front of the cake presentation stand. (Still with me?).

As we exited with his bread and cakes, I rubbed my hands together because of the cold, and no gloves, and my lovely kind man offered me ...

wait for it...

his HOT crispy baguette to hold... to warm my hands up!

WHAT??????????????? I was NOT a happy bunny, and shrunk away from the crispy devil's food as if it were poisonous!

Men hey?!

Dear Diary,

Last night I ate a pretty tea plate of salad (little lettuce, asparagus, couple slices beetroot, couple of cherry tomatoes, cucumber) with six prawns and 65g smoked salmon...

I gained 600g overnight and it's not the first time I've noticed such a thing after a salty tea...

Just thought I'd mention it...
