IF AT FIRST YOU DON'T SUCCEED, try try try again and again (and again...)

Thank you thank you! I don't know whether this has anything to do with it but just before I left for home last night, I learned that two colleagues are out next week so there'll be a TONNE of extra work and I'm busy anyway... and I was so stressed that I got off the tube early, and went on a hunt for konjac noodles! I walked 2km and the Japanese shop didn't sell them! I stopped in another small "Asian" grocer's, unsure which sort though (sorry!!) and asked the lady whether she sold them. She tried to get me to buy normal noodles. I explained "funny diet". She poked me (LITERALLY!) through my big jacket, obviously decided I did need to lose weight, and advised me to eat grapefruit only all day! haaaaa! Still gave me some extra exercise!

Everything ok Anja? Must check your diary too!

Jacq - how's yours going? I know you've got writer's block, but is everything ok?

Lol Jo. cheeky woman! are those the same as shiratake noodles!

I'm okay Jo, on plan again, not straying or tempted too much. Nothings shifted since the weekend and I'm a few pounds over posted weight, hopefully it'll start going again soon.

Yes Vicky that's them... but the Japanese place didn't sell them and the [Korean/Vietnamien/pokey tummy Jo] place didn't know what I was talking about.

There is a place I can go... just awkward to get to. Perhaps I should just pay the p+p and get them on order. I'm such a cheapskate though!

i buy them on order from the Jap kitchen and they are ok on Dukan mmm must order some more thinking of that !!!

lmao Jo. pokey tummy. funny you should say that,
when i went to buy slimming tea years ago from the chinese health shop they told my to stick my finger in my belly button and push 100 times a day and i would lose weight (tbh i still do it sometimes ;) )

ha ha ha best laugh ive had today !!!

yeah but bet you are trying it tonight!

Trust me - I will be - I want a flat tummy like Vicky ;)

Synchronised belly button pushing! Yup, I'm game:p.

Oh guys, you make me laugh out loud in the office :D

Jo: yes all okay just reality sinking in a bit more.... Chocolate three days a wek is NOT GOOD for you :break_diet:

lmao mmmm the OH may think its a new game !!!!

Morning Jo.

Hey guys... submerged in the office (two colleagues on holiday), and I was going to catch up at lunch time but am going to eat with a friend to get out of here for a bit!!

The goji muffins were FABULOUS (thanks ANJA!)! I only ate one (of the three representing the oat- and wheat-bran for the day, cos it was an extra!) but I'd soaked them overnight, dried them well, used my normal one day muffin mix and they rose well. They're not particularly sweet, and at first taste I thought I should have put more sweetener in, but we both enjoyed them. (I said "they're the nearest I'm likely to get to a fruit cake this side of Easter"!).

I also made a one person batch with 75g Comte cheese and some mustard which went down very well - Conso only though!

Aside from that, no problems although I definitely cede too often to "head hunger" at the weekend.

Looking at my VERY slow weight loss now - as usual around this weight - I'm eliminating my evening dessert as a test weekdays. I know I eat it more from habit than hunger. We'll see how that goes. The other half has been told that he must eliminate his nibbling post-dinner also to help out!!

Hey Jo :) you still been good over the weekend though?
Yes good idea take that dessert out and get OH to do the same to help x

Yes after 'baguettegate' your OH needs to do his bit.
Talking of OHs - bless them - My OH had booked my favourite indian restaurant on Saturday night, adn kept on going on about how he had chosen it becasue he knows how much I love their naan! It is the most gorgeous naan ever, but he kept trying to get me to order some and then have some of his when I wouldn't! He meant well!

Yes I was good at the weekend, just eat far more than I need to ensure I don't go overboard (if that makes any sense!).

I even turned down a champagne and foie gras on toast invitation Sunday morning <sniffle>

grrr work

I know what you mean Jo. I tend to eat less on a weekend - strange isnt it how we differ in some ways LOL

OK... another day, another euro as they say...

And, although I wasn't going to mention it, a close friend lost her husband suddenly Monday afternoon... and I woke this morning with her words ringing in my ears: "don't put off until tomorrow anything you want to do". How true is that.

So, on that note, tired of baggy clothes (I'm in that 14s are too big, next size down - not necessarily 12s, but some U.S. sized clothes too - too small), I'm in tighter garb today and feel better for it.

Last night, I ventured into unchartered territory to a Japanese speciality food shop and bought some konjac noodles. Hmm. They look "interesting". Will do something with them at the weekend. Have found plenty of recipes.

Otherwise looking at changing the car so might go lick some windows tonight... (love that French expression for window shopping!)

Diet no problems. Am missing my evening egg custard but only the taste of it. It was definitely "mind hunger" rather than real hunger making me eat that each night! Now weekends only when up late!
