If You Fail To Prepare, You Prepare to Fail

I hope it be really exciting for her - We took the girls on a plane last year- they loved it!

Have a good day back at work x

Thanks, just on lunch now :) x

Hey Serena

I am all caught up now, firstly you look amazing, the change in you and those three photos you took is amazing - well done. You seem to be doing so so well! Your daughter is adorable, also I am close-ish in proximity to you, I am in Thurrock, Essex - so you are just across the water (hold the "t" sound!) from me.

I need to know a bit more about your pizzas! Please tell me how to do a "cheap" pizza base!!!

You have given me so many ideas about food - I am still on the SW vibe so I am still cooking from scratch or venturing into the scary world of ready made meals, it didn't occur to me about having tinned hot dogs and nuggets and hash browns and onion rings - oh for the love of god onion rings!!!!!!!! All these foods that you can just chuck in the oven for 15 mins, I have only dreamt about!

Thanks for the inspiration!

Hello and Thank You for catching up, you're a braver girl than me!!!!

I'm so glad that you enjoyed the Diary, sometimes it's a bit of a ramble but I enjoy venting!!!! Popsicle in case you haven't guessed is my world, in my darkest days she's all that has got me through.

Pizza....mmmmmm....pizza, sorry got distracted!!!!WW Wraps make a great base, I pick them up when they are on offer for £1 for 6, freeze with a square of grease proof paper between each one to avoid breakages when you take them back out! Then add your sauce/topping/cheese and enjoy! Ok it's not Dominos but with a little seasoning u can pretend and save yourself a zillion points!!!!

Regarding my Dinners I am the Freezer Queen, there's 3 reasons for this.

1. I only shop on a Friday Night (no in between visits) so things need to last all week

2. I finish work at 4, Poppy needs her dinner at 5 so half hour oven heat up and half hour cooking time is perfect for me

3. My budget is Small and as much as I'd love to say this way isn't cheaper than fresh/cooking from scratch it is!

Hope you enjoy subscribing here, it's good to have a new Minis Friend on board! X

PS-On PP, Battered Onion Rings have a lot less PP than Breaded so you might want to check that on SP. x

Hey Everyone!

Today's been FAB, we both had such a great day back at school! I was offered yet another job role which I'm chuffed to have to have been offered and I accepted it straight away! I'm still a TA but not going into one class all the time, going to use my initiative and go where I'm needed etc! I have a lot of energy and enthusiasm (in case you haven't noticed!) and I like the idea that I won't be anywhere for any length of time!!!!

Onto today's food, I know I've got a few new subscribers, some of who are new to WW too so I've decided to post 'A Day in the Life of 26pp' (Will need to be converted to SP if following that plan)

26pp looks like this:

Breakfast-7pp

Lunch-8pp

Dinner-9pp

Snacks-2pp

I think you'll agree that 26pp if used wisely is very filling and very yummy!!!!

Lots of Love Serena x

Well I need to congratulate you on making a WW wrap look like a proper pizza base! I actually thought it was a proper base! I do something similar, I call it my pizza quesadilla, its pretty much the same as yours but it has another wrap over the top of it and you dry fry it on both sides. Its very nice but obviously it costs more than yours - but hey I get 12 more sps a day because I am a lot bigger than you so i guess i can afford it, its lovely though, you cut through it with a pizza slice and can pick it up - yummy.

I totally agree your 26pp day today looks so appetising, you have such a wonderful hearty breakfast - how wonderful.

Thanks again for your fabbo ideas, there is nothing wrong with freezer food, I am all for it, i dont get home from work until almost 7pm every night, sometimes its soul destroying not sitting down to eat until 8pm ... then there is the washing up afterwards to do!

Hey there Serena,

Can you please help me with a technical query? How do you upload your photos please? I haven't got a home computer, only a tablet (and not a good one!) or my phone, since the app no longer works I can't figure out how to upload pics I have already taken, I can take the pics at the time of posting, but not save them up for the day then do a mass upload, I see you do, how do you do it please?

Thanks
x
ps. please bear in mind I am a huge technophobe and I need to have my cyber hand held!

I'm using iPhone and when I'm replying to you there are three buttons below this reply 'box' There's Post Reply, Upload a File and More Options, you want 'Upload a File'. Then 'Choose File' Then 'Photo Library' Then 'All Photos' Then highlight the one u want Then you'll see it under this box and under the 3 buttons as an image.jpeg and you want to insert it as a thumbnail! Repeat again for the next photo and so on and so forth! Hope that makes sense! X

Hey Everyone!

Tonight I'm feeling super tired, decided to get up at 0530 to do 'Squat to the Max' sooooooo tired now! I just prefer to work out on an empty stomach and that's the only way to do it.

Work was ok, nothing much of any importance happened, had some training this afternoon so didn't get much time with the kids today.

Today's Food

Breakfast-7pp (Same as yesterday)

Lunch-8pp (Same as yesterday)

Dinner-9pp

Snacks-2pp

Need to do some prep for work tomorrow, if my eyes can stay awake that long!

Lots of Love Serena x

I have these last few weeks and I can honestly say i am a convert. We usually shop in tesco (the big one at Lakeside if you know it?) and it just got more and more expensive, it crept up and up slowly. My friend shops in Aldi all the time and urged me to try. I did years ago but I wasn't overawed with it, but there is a massive improvement, their fresh meats are terrific, they have lean versions of things now, extra lean mince - 500g for £2.99! I am assuming you are a veggie arent you? Sooo i guess you wont be interested in the meats, but they do low fat versions of butters and cheeses and yogurts our shopping has gone from between £60-£70 a week to £40-£50...and thats including any booze we buy. We said we would go to tesco once a month or so for things you cant get in there ... they also do their own Thins, i like the Warburton ones and they are the same points just cheaper. The only thing I need to go elsewhere for is WW stuff, like their wraps.

Hello.

I've had a read through of the most recent posts, you do some really great food! I've now got a shopping list as long as my arm to go out and buy.

I have a few questions if you don't mind?

- I noticed on your roast dinners you have little square roast potatoes. Are these homemade or brought ones? They look really tasty
- You made a 'chicken', potato and spinach curry and served with naan bread on one of the days. Can I ask you for the recipe, I love curry! Also which naans did you have?
- Lastly, do you know (or anyone else...) of a good recipe for crustless quiche? I'd like to make one to take for lunches at work or perhaps to have some of for dinner one evening. I don't mind this being small muffin like ones.

Hope you don't mind the questions.
Thanks in advance.

Dannie

Wow!It sounds like you have really converted to Aldi! We were going there last year for about 2 maybe 3 months but it annoyed me that I had to go elsewhere for quite a lot of stuff so I swapped back to Asda as I can get everything in there and in the long run I spend less than going to two places even if a few things are slightly dearer! Poppy loves them Thins, she has them for her Packed Lunch, we always buy them when they are reduced to 9p a pack and freeze them, usually have about 24 in the freezer at any one time as they don't take much room! Hello fellow Veggie! Its good to have a buddy on the team!!!! Sorry for the long shopping list, I'm like that when I'm read a food magazine!

-The Potatoes are from Asda, they are Frozen and called Crispy Potatoes, you get 900g for £1 so a lot cheaper (and easier!) than fresh! They are really good on PP so hopefully the same on SP.

-The Curry was a Schwartz Slow Cooker 'Chicken Curry' Sachet, I just changed the Chicken for Quorn Fillets and worked the PP out from scratch. I fiddled around with the ingredients so the pp was right for me.

-The Naan are the WW Mini Naan Breads, you get 4 in a Pack, either Garlic and Herb or Plain. Recently WW have brought out new Folded Naan Breads which are also in those flavours but are slightly more points. I got the Mini from Asda (4 for £1) and the Folded from Tesco (4 for £1)

My Crustless Quiche is really simple, 6 Eggs and 300g Pot of Cottage Cheese, add whatever veg you like (chess is optional on top) and cook in the oven! I've made it as Mini or Massive and it works out well both ways. The mini Quiches I made on I think 24/01 were this recipe.

Hope my answers help you, any more questions please ask! X

Hey Everyone!

Today's been yet another lovely day, I taught first thing this morning, getting another student tomorrow so had to make another set of resources! Then I was working in Year 2 for the rest of the day, it's very different to EYFS but I loved it, the day just flew by!

First Thing Tomorrow is WI, really not sure what the Scales will say, Mother Nature arrived this morning and sometimes that can play havoc with the scales, that along with the food which I couldn't pp accurately, the result is anyone's guess!

Lots of Love Serena x
