Diary post - saturday

after my MAMMOTH eating and drinking sesh on fri I decided to go for a lovely long walk with OH, we walked about 8 miles in all so hopefully I repared a little of the damage :)

Breakfast:
Nectarine - 0pp

Lunch:
Egg cress sandwich on Hovis best of both - 8pp
fruit scone - 5pp
butter - 1pp
jam - 1pp
Lipton iced tea - 2pp

Dinner:
Nachos - 4pp
sour cream dip - 2pp
2 x white wine - 12pp

TOTAL 35PP
 
Diary post - Sunday. Another pretty unhealthy day, I think I need to start being a lot more prepared for when I see the OH, it's usually on the weekend so we almost always end up eating out or getting takeaways and we always have a few drinks. He's a proper foody as much as me, I just need to not cave in when he suggests takeaways and have nice but healthy stuff in to cook! The only problem is he's not exactly confident in my cooking abilities, haha!

Breakfast:
3 x warburtons potato cakes - 12pp
2 x poached egg - 4pp
smoked cheese - 2pp
butter - 1pp

Dinner:
Chinese take away - no idea how to even start pointing this up so I'm not going to. Gah not a great end to the week but I knew seeing the OH would be a challenge, in terms of health sometimes I think it's a good thing that we only see each other once a month!

Breakfast:
weight watchers yoghurt - 1pp

Lunch:
Dairy lea triangle - 1pp
Cracker - 1pp
Caramel bite - 1pp
Cheese roll - 2pp

Dinner:
Waitrose mushroom burger - 3pp
Cauldron Adzuki bean kiev (delish, try them) - 5pp
mashed potatoes - 4pp
roast potatoes - 3pp
2.5 glasses wine - 15pp

TOTAL 37pp (26 dailies plus 11 weeklies)

Yes, broke the cardinal rule of no wine in the week but it was a horrible, helish day and I needed that wine! Back on the wagon from now though and going to try and get 2 exercise classes in this week!

Don't feel bad bout the weekend,as you say it's only once a month plus you can always save your weeklies in the week before the weekend next time :0) you look tiny in your pic!

Aww thanks hun! That's from last year so I'm at least half a stone heavier than that now but I thought a photo of where I'd like to be again would serve as good inspiration! I'm going to upload some more recent ones when I can get on my profile and then I can compare! And yes, definitely going to have to save up all me weeklies and then some for the next time I see him! he's such a bad influence, ha x

Yea I used to see my OH once a fortnight for a weekend at a time before he moved in and we used to eat out and eat naughty food so I know what you mean!

That's it, cause it always feels like a bit of a mini holiday so we just eat and drink for england! We're moving in together in a few months though so it'll have to be stopped then or else we'll both be huge!!

It might settle down then..maybe do some fake takeaway meals..join a gym together..all little things help :0)
 
I think joining a gym will be a good move, he's not exactly the most active of people, ha! Your photo is lovely btw!

Bit miffed this morning as I've gained a lb but I haven't had a great week so I can't really moan. going to have to redouble efforts next week as I'm now pretty much the same weight as when i started and I'm at the end of my third week! not happy.

Week 3 - Wednesday. Went to Zumba after work and absolutely loved it, I was totally crap, kept forgetting the steps and going the wrong way but I went with a friend and we just had a giggle at the back like the naughty ones at school and my calves are still aching this morning. I've had a seriously crappy week and jumping around laughing my head off was exactly what I needed :)

Breakfast:

Walkers rosemary and red onion baked crisps - 3pp

Lunch:
Tuna - 2pp
salad - 0pp

Snack:
2 x pink wafer - 2pp (so good as a treat for 1pp each!)

Dinner:
Slice of pizza - 3pp
1/4 French baguette - 3pp
Butter - 2pp
Linda Mccartney sausage - 2pp
Ketcup & mustard - 1pp

Snack:
glass of milk - 2pp (had so much heartburn after zumba!)
granola slice - 4pp

TOTAL - 25PP
 
Week 3 - Thursday. Not a good day again. I really need to find another way to cope when I'm feeling down other than turning to stodgy food and wine!

Breakfast:
Banana - 0pp
Orange juice - 2pp

Lunch:
tuna - 2pp
salad - 0pp
slice of carrot cake - 5pp

Snacks:
fun size chomp - 2pp
raisin cookie - 4pp
Vienesse biscuit - 2pp

Dinner:
Microwavable (eek!) tuna pasta bake - 10pp
1.5 glasses of wine - 9pp
Bakewell tart - 5pp
Granola - 4pp

TOTAL - 45pp (26 dailies plus 19 weeklies)

I don't know what kind of weekend I'm going to have as I'm seeing a friend I haven't seen since June tomorrow, envisaging a LOT of alcohol! Also need to work out the balance between having a life and being good!

That's good then you're keen about the gym.Yea life can get in the way of things sometimes,I've had that feeling myself last week/this week.
We will both get our gains off..we will get there :0)
Enjoy time catching up with your friend,glad you enjoyed Zumba,I used to do it and it is good fun :0)
 
That's it, if you're having too much fun you won't lose but if you're feeling crappy you don't lose either! I'm starting to work out what makes me head for the fridge and the things I need to work on through keeping this diary so that's good. I've been pretty ill at the beginning of the week hence the absence so no gym this week but I barely ate for a few days so thats good! Have you had a good week, sorry you were feeling down too, life just sucks sometimes. Zumba is so much fun but I find that you have to be in the right mood for it or else you just feel stupid! Ok diary posts to follow (these might take a while as I'm trying to remember!)
 
I actually can't remember for the life of me what I ate on Friday, I know I had a salad with feta for lunch but that's about it so on to Saturday!

Skipped breakfast as I was getting ready to go out for the day.

Lunch: (this was a late lunch/early dinner)
Sweet potato and goats cheese tart with salad - not sure of the points as I ate out but I'm going to estimate about 8pp
Onion rings - another guess, 4pp?
Pint of dry cider - 8pp

Drinks - guesstimating here, I got rather drunk haha!
8 measures of gin - 16pp (eek)
Tonic - 2pp (ish?)

Week 4 - Tuesday. Felt a bit better today so managed to get some food down!

Week 4 - Wednesday. Forgot to add that Im off work this week, had some annual leave and found out that I was going to lose it if I didn't take it by this Friday, hence the lack of salad and mid week wine. Naughty.

Asda mince pie x 2 - 10pp

So not a great week in all, crappy mood and being off work hasn't been great menu wise but I'm getting back on track as of next week. I've noticed that I eat a LOT of bread and butter so next week im going to see if I can cut that out completely mid-week. I'm also toying with the idea of going dairy - free during the week too or at least partially. I was thinking about going vegan during the week as I don't eat meat anyways but fish and eggs are my only other source of protein. I'll still have things like low fat yoghurt and light mayo etc but I think I'll try cutting out butter and cheese - both of which I eat too much of anyway and see how I feel. And of course I'll be going wine free again.
