Insane Ramblings on Route to being Fit & Fabulous Forever

:party0011: Lovely NSVs!! Especially from the lady in the shop :) Just goes to show how hard you have worked, you deserve all the victories!

As for Hotel Chocolat, I think it is worth spending a bit extra if you are limiting the amount you have, makes it more special and delicious :)

Morning :)

Had a hectic end of the week. Only survived Friday by pre-ordering an Apple Watch to cheer myself up. Have got an appointment later on this morning to actually go and try one on. Lets hope I like it after all:8855:
Had an email from Apple about the new watch-got the app on my phone already- but not too sure about them- hope it's good?!

Had a relaxing evening last night looking at the House of Fraser sale online trying to find a suitable dress for the wedding at the end of the month. Its tricky as found a couple I like but not sure which size to order as all the different brands seem very different. Although I'm delighted to have choice it was slightly easier when I could shop in Evans or Yours!!
Sizes with clothes is def trial error they're all different:confused:

I was bit rubbish yesterday morning and wimped out on my HIIT session. It was very foggy when I woke up. I ran once before in fog and got quite freaked out. I run before its light so tend to be a bit vigilant about if anyone else around or near me. But when I went out in fog it was impossible to tell and eerily quiet. Decided I would be better to skip it and stay safe. Then hilariously this morning because I was running in the daylight I skipped the HIIT as didn't want people to see me doing my Usian Bolt impression followed by wheezy sweaty mess in the recovery bits  :p So I went for a normal 3.5 mile steady run which was lovely. My Nike + app often has a famous sports person giving you a positive comment at the end. And this morning it was the lovely Rafa Nadal which made my day

Best to stay safe out of the fog -also had the nike app on my phone but have ever used it
:D
I walked past the 24 hour gym the other day thinking of going in for a look but got put off when there was a buff man & a skinny bird on the desk! Might try again today when I walk back from the city after my try on appointment.
:)Be brave!

I ate the raspberry egglets - was very controlled had three on Thursday night and three last night. There were scrummy. Have sketched my food plan for the week and hope to get to try the pecan ones soon but have a lunch out today and possibly tomorrow too so may need the Syns for that.
:drool:raspberry egglets.....

Hope everyone has a fab weekend planned x

Had 3 NSVs today :D

Bought a dress (more likely to wear as tunic over jeans or leggings as short!) in last knockings of M&S sale. Tried in two sizes and went for smaller one even though a little snug at the moment. When I was buying it the lady said how lovely it was and that one of her colleagues had worn it. SHe then said (spontaneously) but she's lovely and slim like you    I wanted to cry / lean over and kiss her. For complete stranger who knows nothing about my weight issues to just pass a comment like that was amazing. Its so odd as I still see myself as fat. I still struggle going into cool normal shops (spend about 20 seconds in French Connection today!)
Oh wow, Awesome!....Think i ''would'' have kissed her!:D

Then faced my demons and went to visit and have a look around the gym - this was a sort of victory cause although I went there was no-one there to show me around. Even though on their website it says manned between 8-6pm at weekend there was a poster up saying only someone there to show people round between 9-12 on a Saturday  So will aim to go on my day off next week!
:)Do go!

The third one was a nice one - walked off to the shop to get some tonic and got chatted up in the alcohol aisle. Was quite an attractive man too. Suspect he may have be drunk already :party0016:
hehehe......he's obviously noticed that you're now sexy!:D :)after all this today, i would imagine you're on a real high?...i would be! ...well done! :)

Have lovely scrummy chinese fakeaway planned for tea :D

Tea sounds lovely!

That is such a lovely story hun, what a sweetheart. I'm a big fan of accosting people in the street and telling them I like their hair/blouse/etc - because doesn't it make you feel wonderful? :) But it just shows you how we all struggle with body image, when you still think of yourself as fat, although you're a teeny weeny 12 stone. This food addiction is a nasty old business - just a simple shopping trip has us walking past Greggs and fish bars and a million other food places. Imagine if heroin users saw shop after shop selling their drug on the High Street!

I wonder if our thing has to do with fear of putting the weight all back on? Admit that we've succeeded and done this amazing thing to lose shedloads of weight and it's tempting fate? Just a thought. I only have one a day so be kind :).

ROFL - there's that body image playing up again - of course you would be chatted up by sober attractive men :D Stackie says overcoming bad body image is all about faking that you don't give two hoots about what others think - but I haven't been very successful at it yet .

Sxx

I'm with you on the thought ;)

Food issues are so hard cause we can't survive without it. It's everywhere. It's a social acceptable thing to indulge in & often forms huge part of our social lives. I live in hope that my ️SW way of life is becoming ingrained. I truly enjoy most things I eat & don't feel like I'm "dieting" but it's learning to control the treats / going out / emotional food rewards!

Hmmm will have to try working on the self esteem / confidence / body dysmorphic issues. I read a book years ago where every morning you had to stand in front of a mirror every morning then chant things about loving yourself / life getting better - not sure it worked but made me laugh every single morning (& my uni housemates who joined in with rude comments!)

I think in a way, losing the weight is the easy part. It is changing our feelings/attitude towards food and ourselves that is the difficult part. It is pretty much impossible to be completely free from temptation, unless you go off into the wild and become self-sufficient. But hopefully the longer we follow SW, the easier it will get, and we can live our lives slim, while still enjoying the treats we love.

agree! :)
also it's the lifestyle change, and the feeling of not going without...which ..thinking about it....is prob my attitude on a 'binge' ....stuff in as much of what i shouldn't have while on the binge!.... def need a mindset refocus!

i agree girls it is hard and being a big girl takes time to adjust to a slimmer 1 saying that im nowhere near that yet lololol

Shelly wow that shop assistant is amazing good on her that's lovely and the man he knows when he sees a nice looker love he got very good taste x x x

im like Susie if i like someone's perfume or hair or clothes i will tell them if i think someone lost weigh i will tell them x

Hi Shelly, just been catching up with your last couple of weeks - congratulations on your progress- youcontinue to amaze and inspire me!!

I've been starting to Internet browse some shops too, now I'm coming down into a more stocked size - can't believe how much choice there is!!! What a lovely comment from the shop assistant though - lovely story x

Thanks ladies - as ever the joy of people here on Minis really understanding what's going on in my brain. Although slightly worrying that you all have that power too. Means there are lots of fellow weirdos out there :p

Well this morning I took a brave step turns out it was foolish but it was most definitely brave! I run wearing lycra but I have been wearing an old cotton top in a size 28 over the top to cover lumps and bumps and make me feel less body conscious. However its now so ridiculous big at times the neckline falls off my shoulders and traps my arms by my side. So when I got dressed this morning I thought ok its early on Sunday I virtually never see anyone I'm going naked :eek:Don't panic not really nakid! So off I pootled. Within 1 mile a group of 4 builders putting up some scaffolding who called out and whistled (not sure if positive or negative as I had headphones in) then saw more people than I ever have even during the week :8855: I suspect cause it was such a beautiful sunny morning a few people had got up early. As I was nearly home at my sweaty unattractive low point a massive 20+ group of cyclists went passed. One called out hello and another good morning. Now freaking out as one of my work colleagues is a keen cyclist and wonder if it was him

BUT I did feel much more comfie running without the loose flappy top cover so going to try and be brave and go naked again :whacky068:

Currently battling the desire to go to the seaside as its a lovely bright sunny day but bizarrely yesterday I got the urge to spend today doing housework. This is exceptional rare for me. I was planning to combine it with trying to sort through my wardrobe and get some bags together for the charity shop. So far I've taken several bags of rubbish and recycling to the bins, washed up half my washing up mountain and sorted through my workout clothes. Now having a break with some caramel coffee ;) Not sure if am going to be strong and carry on or throw on some layers and leap in the car?!

Hope everyone else having a great weekend x

Carpe diem babes - go to the seaside!!!!! Cleaning can be done later (or in my case, never)!

And I LOVE the running story - the thought of you trying to run like Phoebe from Friends with your arms trapped at your sides! :D :D Running naked, no one gave you weird looks, they just whistled in appreciation and said hello - because you're out getting fit and enjoying the lovely weather, like they are! :)

I'm so tempted. Have just had a hilarious internal argument with myself - going to do bit more washing up and move piles of mail / SW mags and cook books / random sh*t thats littering my lounge so I can have quick dust & hoover then see what time it is. Having siad that the wind is getting very gusty. Just blew a pile of my mail off the settee :8855:

You've inspired me to do the hoovering and tackle some of the dust bales lying around the flat - now that I've got my fab cordless vacuum the least I can do is actually use it...:D

Hey Shelley, just been having a catch up on your diary. So chuffed for you hun, you've had two more fab losses while I've been away, got your 11st award and had some amazing nsv moments that were very well deserved!

You have amazing willpower where Hotel Chocolat chocs are concerned cos if I open them they all get eaten so I have to steer clear when on plan but oh, I do love them :D

Methinks you should get yourself to the seaside this aft and enjoy yourself :) xx

Its windy but sunny here, hope you make it to the seaside. You have done SO well hun xxx

My friends decided long ago that I am a total weirdo :D And to be honest I am inclined to agree! I am proud of my weirdness :D

I'm sure all the attention was positive :) Probably just people being polite, you look like the approachable type! Though if you were actually naked, then that would of explained the builders ;) Be brave and run without the t-shirt again. You know you can do it without now :)

Did you get to the beach? It is a lovely day for it. You were very productive this morning, so I think you have earned it! You've put me to shame lol.

I'm so sorry I did that ;)

Thanks lovely. I'm so chuffed with how things are going especially showing some willpower and control over food (except the dreaded B&Js!!)

Thanks Jules nice to see you back around too. Hope things are going OK x

I think weird is better than being normal and average?!

I didn't head for the beach but enjoyed the sunshine in my lounge and had the big balcony doors over. I feel better as the flat is a bit less grubby than it was! BUt still need to clean the bathroom! Plus I spent a satisfying couple of hours trying things on - too big all on charity pile / small pile of baggy but wearable and small selection hanging up that actually fit :p Pleased to have several functional work outfits now some of the smaller trousers are comfie and wearable for a whole day!
Was thinking about the few days away in Derbyshire & at Alton Towers :bunnydance: Have enough jeans and tops for any walks and will wear jeans or quick drying bottoms if we decide weather is warm enough to do the water rides! But I will need a waterproof jacket - in case of rain. Have a ok (as its supposed to be oversized ) winter coat and have a lovely Spring mac but its got 3/4 length sleeves which are pretty but impractical if its cold and you need a jacket :8855:

Will have a little looksie at Matalan / Primarni / Tu sale when I get a chance. Don't want to spend lots on anything at the moment!

Hi, I'm here to follow!
I don't follow a diet plan, but I think SW is the closest of what I've doing. I'm also doing the Couch to 5k. I'm not a big fan of exercises, but this program keeps me motivated to go to the gym because I always want to run more. I'm still on week 3 and I hope it really works!
And, well, I love B&J ice cream, I have to stay away from them every time I go to the supermarket... the small cup is just not enough. I've been replacing ice cream for Fage Greek Yogurt with fruits or chocolate powder, it works, fortunately :)

I'm so sorry I did that ;)

You'll pay - once I started, I couldn't stop! :D

Re the charity bags - my SW club apparently does a clothes thing where you take your stuff to class, and they give it to charities (not sure which but there's a lady with an autistic son so might be that?) to raise money. As far as I know the club members don't check out your old stuff!. So maybe yours does that too?

That sounds like a real busy, productive day!
And good on ditching the baggy top :D
Sounds like it's not needed anyway :) ....you need to re-think your issues :D....mind you - we all do:rolleyes:
Our SW group recently did a clothes swap eve, i din't manage to go.....but everyone took some clothing and however many items they took, they could swap for the same amount ?...there was a pound fee to cover room costs...and then any clothing left over our consultant took to a charity shop :)

wow shelly thats great love you have sorted all your stuff and well done on your run thats brill x x

im a weirdo all my friends say it but i like to be different lol:)
